Hello! I'm a married, Mother of two young children and both hubby and I work full-time outside the home. Making healthy food choices and time for exercise each week is a constant challenge for our family!
Regardless, I know exercising and eating right is very important, and I know what is entailed. Even though I'm not perfect in this regard, I stay on track most of the time and always strive for better. Ten years ago I used to be a personal trainer and cycling instructor at a local gym. I loved helping people with their fitness goals. Eventually however, I had to return to my other career in IT as it was more financially consistent and allowed me to be home with family for dinner. Regardless, I never stopped helping family and friends with their health and fitness questions and endeavors.
I've now decided to take that 'desire to help' online at www.missionfitmom.com! I offer program reviews and ideas about what really works. I am a busy Mom who manages family matters like dinners, lunches, homework for two small children plus a full time job outside the home...as well as weekly chores including laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, etc. I do understand how hard it is to squeeze 'fitness' into one's busy life each week. Actually, I call it 'the balancing act of a lifetime' !
I am realistic, positive, helpful and supportive. But, I also reminding you of what needs to get done, too. :-) In the end, mental strength is the key to staying motivated. I find it's often about what your goal is and how serious you are about attaining it. This 'mental strength' is what will you need to get you through the days you want to skip your workout or eat the wrong foods. Your goal needs to be front and center each day--otherwise it's very hard to remember what all the hard work and sacrifice is for!
I can help you with all this and more. If you are interested in my help--just drop me a line at www.missionfitmom.com!
