My Personal Bio:

I am a former corporate attorney and current entrepreneur. I have two children, and a wonderful husband! I have founded and run successful software companies in the past and currently have a software company I am running.
I recently became a MDB/TeamBeachBody Coach! After losing 75 pounds using MDB’s DVDs, supplements, and its wonderful community of supporters, I am sooo excited to be helping others reach their fitness goals and become healthy and thin again!! Friends and colleagues who haven’t seen me in a while express amazement over the changes I have made. They ask me how I did it, and I tell them – I just push play every day, eat clean (and take my supplements to support my healthy eating), and log onto the bulletin boards for support. Those three components – exercise, clean eating, and support – are the keys to starting the weight loss, continuing to lose the weight, and keeping the weight off!
I believe it takes all three of those ingredients: (1) an exercise routine that is FUN to do, so you’re motivated to do it every day! It helps to have a variety of fun, different exercises/DVDs to do, so you can mix it up, work different parts of the body in different ways, and pick the types of routines that work best for you (and that you like the best). (2) Clean eating – which doesn’t mean extreme dieting (that never works!). It means having a sensible diet plan that lets you eats reasonable meals, enjoy a few “rewards” from time to time, and have the right diet supplements to ensure you get all the nutrition you need, and you get the help you need to maintain your caloric program. And (3), we all need support from friends. But it’s not always easy to find a community of friends to be there with you to exercise and support you along the way. The MDB bulletin boards, WOWY, and community provide that support. With these three ingredients in place, I believe anyone who is serious and ready to commit, can lose weight and keep it off! I’m here to help – I’ve done it, and I can help you do it too!! :-)

My Transformation Story:

I used to be thin and athletic. But after getting married, having two kids, and working at a full-time, stressful career, I slowly drifted away from exercise and healthy eating. You know the drill – fast foods, snacks, comfort eating, and working late nights – a recipe for steady weight gain! For years, I ignored the weight gains, and when the scale finally reached 222 pounds, I just stopped stepping on the scale! I kept saying I would deal with it “Later”!

I found out the hard way, that “Later” doesn’t come around, until you make a commitment to make it come around! By the time of my 60th birthday, I was obese, fighting back pains, plantar fasciitis, general fatigue and major health issue. That’s when I saw the Turbo Jam infomercial. I was fascinated by it! It looked like sooo much fun! I thought – I can do that!! And I realized, NOW is the time I need to do that! I decided there and then to commit, and make my weight loss and fitness my priority!

I ordered Turbo Jam and began using it, LOVING IT, and seeing immediate improvements in both my health and my weight. It was so much fun to do; I had no trouble looking forward to pushing play every day! In time, Turbo Jam gave me the strength to do other activities, like jogging, and the motivation to keep improving by changing my diet and eating healthy again. By August of 2007 (a little over a year after I started), I had reduced my weight to 158 pounds, and became the August winner of the MDB Monthly contest!
I was enormously proud of my progress and of winning that contest, but my work wasn’t done! I had reached a plateau, and was finding it harder to lose those last ~ 12 pounds to reach my goal weight. That’s when I discovered the MDB supplements. These products really help to support and maintain a healthy diet. I started using the MDB Meal Replacement Shake (yummy and much better than the bad snacks I was still grabbing!) and the MDB Performance Formula (helps with muscle recovery after a hard workout). They broke my plateau and put me back on the “losing weight” track. I have now lost an additional 12 pounds, and an additional 3 inches from my waist, and am in the best shape of my life!!

I ran my first ever half-marathon race (13.1 miles) in October of 2007, and came in 11th out of the 95 women in my age group! If you would have asked me one or two years ago, would I be able to run a half-marathon race and finish in the top 12% of my age group, I would have said “NO WAY”!!
The gains I have received from the MDB products I use, both exercise DVDs and supplements, go way beyond weight loss and a nicer body – they have given me the strength and health to do things I have never been able to do before, or even dreamed of doing before. On New Years Day of 2008, I ran up Mt. Diablo – a 12 mile uphill run with a 3,650 foot vertical rise! I am now planning to run a FULL marathon race (26.2 miles) later this year!

I recently became a certified TurboKick instructor, and now teach two TurboKick classes – one to Seniors (!) and one to Adults. I hope to inspire other people to reach out and find their potential, and keep moving and exercising and staying healthy! I also recently became an MDB coach, so that I can help people of all ages to reach their weight goals and become fit and healthy.
