I'm a 29-year old IT tech in Jackson, NJ. I
have a mother and three aunts with diabetes, so my weight
loss has centered around outrunning a serious disease.

I started on Power 90 in May 2004, went two rounds of that
(although I never quite went the full 90 days), did my own
thing in a gym for a while until I got deathly bored, and
did Turbo Jam in 2006.

All my life I was the fat one in my family. I had an
athletic attitude for my size, but the number of minor
injuries I sustained in hockey and basketball thanks to my
weight eventually put that to a halt. I was 300 pounds when
I entered high school, 350 pounds when I graduated, and
continued to gain after that.

I had a realization in July of 2006. I was 377lbs with a 62"
waistline. I had three aunts on my father's side with
diabetes, and my mother was already suffering harshly as an
overweight diabetic. Seeing her condition, I knew I had two
choices: Join her in several years as a diabetic, or shape
up and outrun the disease to live the life I needed.

I started with my best friend with Tony Horton's Power 90.
My first run through, I lost 44 pounds in three months.
Afterwards changing my eating habits and getting enough
exercise, including a second, 50-day run of P90 in January
2006 helped me lose 110 pounds.

I continued to lose weight steadily after that at a regular
gym until I hit a wall in July of 2006 at 268 pounds. I
hadn't lost weight in months and my motivation was seriously
drying up. I couldn't stand a treadmill anymore!

After a month of deliberation on whether it was a good
"Man's" workout, I took a chance on Turbo Jam. The results
could not have been better!

Since July I've lost 25 pounds several inches off of my
waist, hips, arms and thighs, and more importantly have
never had more muscle tone! Working out with Chalene has
never been more fun! Trust me, it works on men every bit as
well as it does on women!

Right now I'm flying high at 243 pounds and a 39" waistline,
an overall loss of 134 pounds and 22 inches off of my waist.
I still have pounds to lose, but I'm thrilled as to my
progress thus far!

You'll hear of another story once I hit my goal weight of
210-220 pounds. Until then, I'm going to keep Pushing Play!
