Canton, MI In the mid 2000's I was working more, playing less and generally not in very good health. Food was whatever I could get my hands on. I found myself aching and tired, when I should be enjoying my 20's. To make matters worse, I was downing a bottle of tums every week.
At the end of 2007 I made the decision to make a change. At the end of 2007 I made the decision to make a change. I knew that it would be a difficult road ahead and that I would have to make many changes in my habits(habitual boredom eater). Through much research I was able to find workouts that I could do without joining a gym or purchasing a ton of equipment and started on a diet like Michi's Ladder. In the first month and half, I lost 10 pounds with a little exercise and improved nutrition. After that, I was well on my way. I wanted more. More nutrition, more exercise, more knowledge. I continued to push myself through negative comments and negative actions (sometimes those closest to you can be a hindrance when it comes to weight loss) and have been able to achieve most of my health/fitness goals. While I'm not completely where I want to be yet, I know that with continued diligence, I'll reach my goal.
From the worst (280 lbs; with acid reflux, aching knees,back, neck) to the present (206 lbs; with none of the maladies from above) I have made a huge commitment to living a healthy, positive lifestyle. My friends and family have finally accepted that I'm not going to revert back to the old way of life. How can they not accept it, seeing the positive effects of better mood, more energy, and better quality of life.
I have completed 2 rounds of P90X and just finished my first 60 days of Insanity. I also plan on mixing the two programs so I can Bring It, while Digging Deeper.
Now with using the Beachbody tools, I can track my workouts and progress online. The recipes that are available are easy to make and keep my meals interesting so I can become a better cook.
As a Beachbody Coach, I am excited to share my experience and learn new things with our Beachbody community. I'm happy to be a part of this team which will help start a healthy way of life revolution that this country desperately needs.

My transformation started in winter 2007 with a starting weight of 262lbs. I was tired of being sore and being winded just from walking up the stairs. In addition to that, I was going through a box of antacid every week and had trouble sleeping. Well, after major changes to my diet and a solid workout routine I lost 40lbs in the first 6 months. Now, 3 years later I am in the low 200's (ranging from 205-208lbs) I have completed 2 rounds of P90X and have finished my first round of Insanity. My life is now consumed with pushing my body to it's limits and beyond and finding new healthy recipes. My final goal, which I will obtain, is to get rid of the looseness surrounding my torso. I am confident that with a solid exercise regime and a healthy diet, I will be able to tighten up those loose areas.
