I was a fat kid (142lbs at 5') until sophomore year of high school at which point I quit soda, moved a tiny bit, and got down to 118 which was great.

I got pregnant in 2006 and gained 55 pounds and went up to 178lbs (pre-preg weight was 123, clearly). I quickly got down to the 140s, then plateaued at 161 for a long time. After working out at the gym 5-6 days a week (3 of cardio and weights,
