My Personal Bio:
I'm 53 and, after some down time from physical exercise over
the last two years, I’ve regained a level of fitness and strength at a rate and
progress that has amazed me and my friends. Never have I had so many
compliments
about the changes in my shape. The fifties are a beautiful time of life because
it is rich with experience that can be shared and given back to Life. However it is
also a time of humility where one also has a kind of wisdom about the
consequences of one's follies. One such folly is letting go of your health and
fitness.
Back in the winter of 2007 while visiting my mother-in-law, I saw the Slim-
in-6 ad
on television and thought, “it’s time to get some ab development in this old
body of mine.” Straight onto the phone, and here I am 10 months later, having
graduated from the Slim-in-6, P90X and Hip Hop Abs programs, and P90X plus programs (it is awesome beyond words!!) literally
feeling like I walk around in a new body.
Currently I am mixing programs, P90X, P90X plus series and adding One -On -
One every now and then for some spice. My wife has is a P90X graduate and is
now doing the doubles version and looks strong and lean
(www.teambeachbody.com/PianoGirl).
I grew up in Australia and I surfed for many years, which gave me a strong
back and shoulders, but little flexibility. I then went to long distance and ultra
marathon running (peaking at 100 miles in 24 hours when I was 49). This
helped me build good aerobic stamina, but left my abs and core pretty
underdeveloped. Then, I started yoga which helped me develop flexibility. It
was a great discovery—that is, until I found P90X, which transcended and
included all of the above, making it the most fulfilling, all-round, work-out
system I have ever come across.
Last year, I became a US citizen and started teaching math at high school.
Boy, was I shocked at the number of kids, teachers, and parents who seemed
to be at ease with the obesity and poor health in society! It made me take a long, hard
look in the mirror at my growing midsection. I thought I can’t let myself get
into that condition. If I do, I wont have any self-respect or expect
others to respect me. I’ve only got one body so I better take good care of it.
Since starting P90X and the other workouts from Team Beachbody, I feel such
a distinct shift in my overall strength and all-round flexibility that many of
my friends have wanted to follow suit and workout together. I call it the
workout pods and encourage all of you visiting my site to try it. It really helps
to help others and be helped by others by working out together.
Since then I thought, this has to get out to as many people as possible. So I’ve
become a coach to make it happen! I want to help inspire you and others,
especially young people, to shape up and push your limits. In the process, I
keep discovering my own edge and continue to develop my own contours
and fitness levels. My goal is to reach 10 000 people in 2 years. Already about 1000 people have seen my website or videos.
I am psyched about the work-outs and look forward to sharing my
experience and knowledge with you!
To get strong, stay strong and inspire others keep pushing play every day.

My Transformation Story:
P90X has revolutionized the way I focus on my training. From day 1 I clicked
with Tony's style, integrated workouts and sense of humor. 90 days later I
have graduated looking better at 53 than ever before in my life.
People have commented on my changes and many of my friends have been
inspired to start the Beachbody workouts, including my wife who loves it. I
have dedicated time after
work each day to workout and for a month or so I did not see the results I
really wanted, even though I felt different almost immeadiately. But it is a 90
day program, so I stuck with it and kept pressing
play - in that last month I started to see and feel the strength potential in my
body. It was an amazing unfolding.
I had very little fitness when I began and each workout was tough. But as an
ex marathon runner this was something I was used to. On the other hand
changing my diet was more challenging. As a long distance runner I loved
and could consume carbs by the truckload but in recent years I had put on
weight and my body felt and looked unnattractive.
In Life during and after P90X I now feel my energy levels more consistent
throughout the day, my diet is better than it's been for years and more and
more of my friends are starting to workout with the Beachbody routines.
I was so happy with the integrity of the trainings that I have started coaching
and want to make an impact on helping many of the kids at the high school
where I work as well as my friends get into a life long training which could
take us all into a vibrant and healthy future. This to me is the beginning of my
future in strength. Thank you Beachbody.
