After watching the P90x commercial for a couple years. I decided to take the plunge and go for it. It was out of fear thinking that I was not fit enough for the program, but to my suprise, I met the minimum requirements.
I had to change my diet, including drastically reducing my carbohydrates and RICE intake. As a Filipino, rice is a staple food no one can let go. But I've been able to reduce my intake of rice from almost every day to a small portion once or twice a week. I've also started Shakeology which eliminates the guess work on my nutrition.
Time is hard to manage when your a father and a husband. I work out past 11:00pm when the troops fall asleep. Scheduling is important with any exercise program. However trying to workout everyday, work a full time job and teach part time and handle a family has affected my sleep patterns initially. But when you're body is asking to rest, please LISTEN. Otherwise, you will not get the full recovery from your workouts.
