My name is Elaina and I am an Independent Team Beachbody Coach. As a child I was always heavy. Fortunately for me I was not a vain person and always was a very confident person. I truly believed it was what was inside a person and not outside. I was very well liked and somewhat athletic, so playing sports kept me from being obese but I was always 40 to 50 pounds above what I should have weighed.

When I joined beach body I was around 250 lbs. My back was bad and I was in constant pain with sciatica that went from the middle of my back straight down my right leg. I was seeing a chiropractor who informed me my problem was first my weight and next I was nutrient deficient so my electrical system wasn’t performing correctly. She put me on tons of supplements and started adjusting me 3 times a week. I admit I did feel better but my pocket book was killing me.
In June of 2008 my sister and I found Beachbody. I started with Kathy Smith Project You and worked out 4 times daily. I used my club membership and customized a meal plan that fit my lifestyle. I was even able to allow myself foods I thought I would never be able to have as long as I did portion control. I converted to the chiropractor’s supplements to Beachbody supplements and started feeling great both physically and financially (I saved about $50 a month).
I then advanced to Slim N Six which was a little harder but doable. I was losing weight and feeling better and no more sciatica. When I hit 220 lbs I was actually pain free. I still wasn’t jumping a lot but I was moving at a much faster pace.

My next program was Turbo Jam. I love to dance so this was fun and Chalene is a kick. I have since done Rockin Body and Hip Hop abs.

I am now around 175 lbs and plan to be 140 by the end of 2010. I am in no hurry, I just know I feel better than I have in years. I am not a diabetic and I play soccer at the age of 50 years old.
