I also did one round of P90X2, 1/2 a round of TurboFIRE and one round of BODY BEAST!!!! I'm currently doing a hybrid with BODY BEAST and Les Mills Combat. I'm exited to announce that as one door closes in my life, another one is opening. I'm "coaching" online as a Teambeachbody.com coach to help others find their own way and achieve their goals of living healthier lives. Members of the P90x team have motioned me in this direction by virtue of my expressed commitment, enthusiasm, and general "can-do" attitude about my desire to better my own health and physique. They caught wind of me by reading the numerous “manifestos” and blog-like comments that I riddled throughout the virtual world of Facebook, particularly on the P90X pages (there’s a few of them). I post daily on these pages because it keeps me accountable for my own actions (there’s an old saying: “spoken words fly, but the written remain”.). More importantly, by helping others in the trenches alongside me in this journey, I’ve made new and lifetime friends with people going through the same, if not worse, trials and tribulations that I am. We are, regardless of whether we’re newborns starting this program or veterans repeating it for the umpteenth time, all on the same team. There is unprecedented satisfaction in realizing that my combined passions for writing and creativity, neatly merged with my ever-increasing desires for a healthy lifestyle, have become one solid entity. It is a phenomenal feeling to know that every facet of my energy is conducive to my own personal wellness, whether it’s energy from slamming dumbbells around at 1:00 am or typing “BRING IT!” at 6:00 am to a new friend. You are going to feel the same way! To date, I've lost 50 pounds of baggage and replaced it with a 1000 pounds of confidence, resilience and a willingness to better myself (there’s some, ahem, nice muscle as well too boot). I've also regained control of my health concerning problems such as sleep apnea, acid reflux and high blood pressure. Thanks to improving my exercise and eating habits, I’ve become a “product of the product”. I’m urging all of you to do the same, and it is X-tremely important. Take care of your health. Like a good architect we're going to design and build something wonderful and strong. Nothing is ever “finished” it seems. But come along with me for the journey, instead of just meeting me at the end destination. We’ll have a lot to share and you can see and experience the changes with your own eyes.
Allow me to be the first to admit that this will be a challenge. I too have a full time job, a 1 hour commute x2 each day, and two great children that mean the world to me. Plus, thanks to our current times, every penny has to count. How do I find time and resources to exercise? How do I stick to my schedule each day? The answer is simple, and to quote Winston Churchill: "Never, never, never, never give up." Let me be the “on” switch for you in this challenging and rewarding journey. By the way, "hard" and "easy" are no longer words that you should use in your vocabulary. But "persistence" and "determination" are. Now let's get to work and BRING IT!!! My best, Lou
