I had a friend do this diet for 3 weeks and lost over 25 pounds, I weigh roughly 165 pounds and want to lose around 25 pounds, his diet was:


6 meals a day, every 3 hours

morning : oatmeal ( no salt or toppings just water boiled ), banana, water


5 other meals: chicken breast ( no seasoning, baked, ??oz), 1-2 potatoes (baked, no seasoning), water, banana.



I was shocked and wanted to try the diet myself but I never had the time to ask him the portions, would anyone know the portions for this diet?

I don't see how that was done at all unless your friend was one of those people that already has a super charged metabolism...and a guy. Sorry but it's just easier for men to lose weight like taking off a heavy coat. emoticon Hehehe. Seems that way anyway. ANYWHO! If I had to make a wild guess I would say the portions were probably the ones when using the hand measuring system since its doing it 5 times a day.
I know that eating small meals (and I mean small enough that you are just satisfied not "full") every 2 or 3 hrs boosts your metabolism through the roof. Gotta fuel the body to burn the fat. Eating these meals reeeeeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyy ssssslllllooooooowwwwwww helps a ton too. It takes about 20 minutes for the "im full" trigger to get hit. That's why it's easy to get absolutely crammed full if your not paying attention (ie...watching TV).
Chicken breast no bigger than the palm of your hand, the square portion, if your were to cut off all your fingers and thumb at the knuckles. Potato would most likely be the size of your fist. Not one of those monster ones you get from Out Back. 1/2 a banana. Oh and your oatmeal, 1 cup. The absence of seasonings and the such is going to make this one extremely bland diet. Hahaha! Hope this helps even though its a wild shot in the dark guess.

Thanks! and yeah he did p90x and his metabolism IS high. I dont usually gain weight but I did want to lose quite a bit to fit into some smaller clothes so yeah. Thanks for the info this seems legit enough in terms of portions, without seasoning I thought it was crazy, and he told me himself it tasted like nothing, dry chicken breast and flavorless potatoes and oatmeal.. its definitely worth a try though emoticon

Even if he did not eat you could only lose 3-4 lbs a week in fat in most cases the rest will only be water so it depends if you goal is fat loss or not that’s why its normally recommended to lose 2 lbs a week and your still getting a decent nutrient amount.

Hi Vitamin P,

This sounds like "6 week body makeover" I tried it and never last long on it because the food has no taste and you have to eat so much of it. Thats why I am ttrying to stick with good old exercise and eat the foods that I enjoy...in moderation of course.emoticon
