When did you start seeing results?

Just curious to know when other people start seeing results with Insanity? I am half way through week 4 and there is no change in my weight or body measurements. I am hoping my body is going to show some signs of change soon, I will keep pushing through regardless.

I'm in the middle of my 2nd week of month 2 and I'm still waiting to see results. It's pretty individual though. Some people see results right away and others not until month 2.

I think for alot of people month two is where they noticed the most changes. I just began month two and the workouts are much more intense and I can see why this is where the most change occurs

Agreed. It appears to be month 2 for me as well. I started it last week and although I lost no weight in month 1, I immediately started losing weight on the 2nd month. I don't think I'll reach my goal of 150 by the end of the second month. But, if I can get down below 160 (I'm at 160.7 right now), it will be the lightest that I've been in almost 25 years.

I guess that makes me the odd one. I saw all my results in the 1st month. I lost 25lbs several inches off my waist. The second month I only lost 5lbs and, I don't know if this sounds weird or not, my skin started to tighten. I guess I basically mean I started to tone out more. To me it is kind of weird. I've never been a big sweets guy; I was always a steak and potatoes type, but cutting red meat from my diet, eating more vegetables and drinking shakeology everyday changed my skin, my hair and basically just made me feel a whole lot better.

Day to day it didn't seem like anything was changing it was only looking back at the pictues I took at the start where I can see the change. I dunno, maybe I'm crazy (enjoying my Insanity) or maybe I'm not...lol

I started to see results after a few weeks on continuous workout. Lost 10bls and went from a size 14 to 12. So far so good. I can tell my metabolism is high now and i have more energy. I have heard alot of people say they see more results with the max workout. Keep your head up. Others may see the change with your size before you will. Keep Pressing Play!!! emoticon

for me there was a noticeable difference 2/3 weeks into month 1, end of the month i had more people commenting on how i looked different. now into month 2 , first week i feel alot more toned already.. month 2 is where the magic happens for most people so keep pushing through and gearing up for whats to come cause its a killer believe me

its veryyy different for everyone so please dont be discouraged!!! i went through that phase after my first week and a half to.. you gotta realize your body needs to adapt to this type of work.. its possible to even put on a few lbs of muscle in the beginning, but you will NEED these muscles.. you have to be patient and keep pushing through becuase those muscles will turn into fat burning machines i promise you! keep feeding your body the foods it needs and keep making it work and it will start working for you on its own!
keep digging deep everyone.

I'm in the same boat as you ibalance- I'm at the end of week three and have seen no difference in weight/measurements or anything. I completely changed my diet, I didn't eat all that bad before, but now I'm doing everything as the nutrition plan suggests. I will also continue to Push Play, but it's a bit frustrating emoticon

Jamien731 please dont get discouraged. As you view most of the threads. Most people do say they see more results by the beginnin of the second month. You may start seeing a difference in your pants size vs the scale right now. Keep up the good work and if you need any extra support you can add me as a buddy. Keep pressing play! emoticon

Hey Jamien, the nutrition plan definitely calls for a lot of calories. How many are you eating every day? I actually ended up having to cut a lot more calories than I thought I would need to. The guide suggested I eat 3100 cals but I ended up eating 2700 and then going down to 2400 per day (I only lost 1 pound in the first month). Everyone's body is different and if you still aren't seeing a change by the end of week three you might need to look at your calorie intake. I am not saying this is the correct answer, as you see in previous posts most results come from month 2.

I saw results after week 1. I could make it all the way through the warm up without stopping and I wasn't doggin' it either. I was very proud of myself. As far as visual results though, I noticed my quads are a lot more defined than they were when I started, and I guess I could say the same for my calves. And I'm only in wk 3. But I did do p90x before this, so the results are already there so not enough room to notice BIG CHANGES.

Thanks for the encouragement Coach Kaneika!

CoachShack- I'm supposed to eat about 1,750. I TRY to eat that much, but often times fall short. I feel like it has to be my diet that is not working, as I'm definitely doing the workouts HARD. I'm dripping after every time!

I am definitely getting more flexible, I am one of the least flexible people I know emoticon so that is great!. And I can keep up with the program a lot more than when I started, so I know this is great for me as well. Good things are happening...maybe just not as quickly as I'd like them to. I just want to look good in a bathing suit for once emoticon haha!

Jessckatz- I may have inadvertently reported your post. Sorry!! I'm trying to read this on my phone and its not behaving!

But in response to the question, I am finishing up week two and have lost about 4 lbs and feel so much more energized. I don't look any different yet, but I have a feeling that will change when I start cardio abs. I'm excited for that and nervous about month two lol! I think I will be able to go harder once I get started on my shakeology and results and recovery formula. Excited for that!! Stick with it you'll be happy you did! emoticon

Hey Jamien, I sent you a buddy request too. Are you eating 5 times a day, do you follow the meals in the nutrition guide? We need to make sure you are taking in GOOD calories. My fiancee was eating about the same as you the first month, she has started to see great results in the second month. The first 2 weeks she actually gained weight too, but then the inches started to fall. It may take your body a couple of weeks to adjust, but I believe if you push play every day and do your best you will crush this. Sounds like you are giving plenty of effort, so the results will start comin. =)

ibalance,

I haven't noticed any results yet either when I look in the mirror. However, this morning I did notice that a shirt I haven't worn in about 5 months because it didn't fit right, fit a little bit better...I'm only starting week 2. I don't follow the nutrition guide the way I'm supposed to but I do watch what I eat (also completely cut out white rice and white bread), try to eat 5 small meals a day, and only drink water. I also noticed I have a lot more energy during the day and and am able to do more of the workouts than when I first started. Keep it up & KEEP PRESSING PLAY! GOOD LUCK!

I'm on week 7. I am a mother of 2 and not "totally" out of shape but really hadn't done a lot of anything before this. I tried things but gave up "because I didn't see results." Don't stop this workout!!! It's the only one that's worked so far for me. I'm 38, so I'm not some lean, young girl with the metabolism of a toddler emoticon I dropped 6 lbs in the first month. I could basically see that my jeans were loose. Then after the 1st month was over, my husband looked at me and was like "wow." He said he can tell a huge difference in definition where as I see myself regularly and don't notice it as much. Here's a test ( I did this today)...pull out your stored shorts from last summer. A pair that was snug or that fit just fine...put it on first. I was so thrilled. My husband is doing it with me and he has muscles popping out everywhere and I'm starting to see a huge difference just this week in my arms and legs. YIPPEEE!!! A couple more points if I may....I was feeling really tired at the end of the day...I saw a ton of other posts that others had that same thing happen "UNTIL" they started taking a recovery drink "after" the workout. I made my own and POOF...no more tired....and I'm seeing results quicker now too. Lastly, I had been going to the doctor for 3 years over a pulled muscle (unk name) but the one that runs from the base of your head down into your shoulder....I pulled it 2-3 times a month. I was miserable way too often. I knew I was doing it from picking up my young kids a lot...but who is going to stop that? The cure...doctors told me to strenghthen the muscle...they gave me some exercises...but nothing worked. I am now healed. I haven't had this muscle pulled since I started Insanity. I'm carrying a 6 & 8 year old to bed and being mom without pain. I am beyond thrilled and just wanted to share so you would stick with it and be proud at the end!!! Go earn that Shirt!!! Dee Dee

I just read another post from a guy who dropped 25 lbs fairly quickly. Like I said, I dropped 6 lbs in the first month...my husband dropped 12. I was NOT happy. I just didn't want you to see that and get discouraged...men seem to drop the wait a bit quicker. He did gain 2 or 3 lbs back after being into month 2...but his muscle mass has increased. YOU CAN DO THIS emoticon

Hi - I was curious to how you made your own recovery drink. Do you have a recipe that you could share? I'm sure a lot of us would benefit from it. If you don't want to share, no worries!

A great recovery drink is chcolate milk, cheap and yummy. I drink 1% after every workout.

1% milk with a specific type of chocolate syrup or powder? Or do you buy it premade?

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread everyone.
