Hello friends from Team Engage!!!

I really liked Christa's idea about creating a page where we can all post on our progress. I love the email list, but sometimes, it can be hard to keep up with so many emails! This way, you can check in, read up on everyone at the same time, and not have dozens of messages in your inbox emoticon

I am heading down in an hour and a half to blast out my last PLYO workout! Let's remember this message board always!

Thanks for doing this Kpatty. I think you're right that this will be an easier solution (especially since the email list didn't seem to make it through to my account emoticon.) I really do want to keep track of what people are doing next; it's been such as supportive and interesting group.

Hello fellow Team Engagers! I'm going to go catch up on the Insanity thread in a bit, but thought I'd post my "After Insanity" workouts and thoughts here to get things going!

So - I had all intentions of taking off the entire weekend, and even yesterday since I had made lunch plans ages ago for Monday. I am proud to say that my body just no longer tolerates eating poorly and being lazy for more than 48 hours!! By the time I got home from work yesterday, my body was begging me to kick it into gear! So - I went outside and ran about a mile and a half and did some abs when I got home. This is the first time I've ran since the beginning of Insanity, and the first time I've run outside in a very long time. And I'm proud to say I made it all the way without ever walking, which is something I've never come close to doing! GO MY NEW INSANITY BODY!!

Then, today, I ran 2.5 miles on the treadmill straight! I could have kept going, but since I hadn't run outside in a long time, my quads were crying and it was just a bit painful when I got to the 2 mile mark....

...and now, my legs are like the first day of Insanity!! I have to hold on to the railing when I walk down stairs, and every time I sit, I need to use my hands to ease myself down...

I LOVE IT emoticon HURTS SO GOOD!!

I've decided that my workouts will include Running/Hip Hop Abs on my "less miles" days, then just running when I want to do more than 3 miles. Then Insanity alternated in-between. I'm excited to mix it up! Can't wait to keep going on this journey!

Off to catch up on the Insanity thread and hopefully see some photos! Everyone so far looks AMAZING! We did it!

What does it say about us, that I totally understand that wonderful feeling! You wouldn't think after two months of Insanity, there would be a new way to stress the muscles, but it just goes to show, how changing things up does stress the body in different ways. You really jumped right into the running - those are significant distances first time out. I'd suggest you ramp up slowly, but it just doesn't seem your nature.emoticon

I hope to try running (not quite with your fevor) after I finished my last few Insanity workouts and "recover" a bit. I REALLY miss running and am hoping, now that my body is feeling great and is a little more "balanced", that a little running won't aggrevate anything. Guess I'll just have to experiment and see what happens.

Finished my last MIC today with my daughter. She killed it! I wasn't too bad either.emoticon

Hello friends!!

Well - as expected, my quads would not permit any type of intensive lower leg cardio today, so I did Cardio Burn and Ab Sculpt from Hip Hops Abs. It was my first time doing it at work in front of the mirrors, and I really did have a blast! It's nice to see yourself do the move so you can correct form. I used to dance in high school, and was known for my hip hop dance moves, so this workout really brings me back to the good ole' days. It's super corny still, but man, I just like Shaun T! I miss him! I want him to create even more Beach Body workouts so we never have to say goodbye! emoticon

I've decided that I think I may get Brazil Butt Lift instead of Rev Abs. I'm becoming a bit obsessed with getting a nice booty since I've never had one until I actually learned how to SQUAT in Insanity emoticon And I've read very mixed reviews about Rev Abs! Some people say it's AWESOME, but others say that after P90X and Insanity, it's very boring because it's incredibly repetitive. One of my friends is a beach body coach and has Brazil Butt Lift for me to try. I may give it a whirl and see if it works for me!

Then - I'm actually considering becoming a beach body coach myself! I'd like to get another full round of a program behind me first, but come later this summer, who knows? Maybe I'll be a coach for Team Engage!

Shotputmom - I never had this kind of drive until Insanity! That program just gave me so much energy! And I'm very thankful!

Hi gang,

I kept pushing play until I start Asylum on Monday. I was also thinking about RevAbs after we got the email from Scott. I really need to improve my abs. I want to get flat and see my abs again. I will see what results I get with Asylum and decide what is next. At first I did not want to commit to any program during the summer because I already play golf 3 or 4 time a week, I do some bicycling and want to start running outside but it seems that I am like you Katie I need to do something otherwise it seems something is missing.

I also want to become a Beach body coach as soon as the open it in Canada (should be early next week) and I will be part of Team Engage as well.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick update. I have MCC as my LAST workout today. Can’t wait to “finish” although, as I've seen from all the other posts, no one seems to really finish. They last about two days before they need another Shaun-T fix! emoticon

Now, I just have to decide what’s next? I will definitely continue with some Insanity since my body is so happy right now…but what else? Originally I was thinking P90X/Insanity but my shoulder just hasn’t been comfortable with that amount of weight training. I know I need to strengthen the shoulder, but it has been resisting my attempts. I ordered push-up stands yesterday because I noticed when I used dumbbells as stands, the position of my arm was more comfortable and my shoulder didn’t get stuck and grind as often. I’ll see how the stands work longer term. So, I’m still not completely sure what’s next, but whatever it is, I think I’m going to make myself a schedule in advance like the Insanity program. The schedule really helped to keep me on track.

I’m so in agreement. I like Shaun-T’s aggressive workout style and I want more. I have looked through all the other Beachbody programs online and none captured me the same way Insanity did.

I can absolutely see you as a Beachbody coach! You just ooze an infectious enthusiasm that’s bound to inspire others.

That’s great that Beachbody is expanding the program to Canada. You will be a great advertisement for the programs. Especially after you complete Asylum as well!

Good morning Everyone -

I posted this on the Insanity board, as well...just an update on my plan.

I’ve enjoyed my rest, but it’s time to get moving again. I’ve decided to make another push with Month 2 Insanity because, I’m close to where I’d like my body to be and, if I just maintain strong focus for another month, I know can get there. I’ll keep some P90X upper body on alternating days and add more abdominal workouts (either Ab Ripper or Insane Abs.) I’m going to modify the schedule a bit give my legs a few more full rest days. The plan is to do a three day Insanity rotation (MIP, MIC, MCC) , then a weight/ab/yoga day, then three more Insanity days, and then a full Rest day. (Notice the “Recovery” workout is blissfully absent from the mix) emoticon. This schedule ends up being an 8 day cycle so my “rest day” isn’t always the same day of the week, but that isn’t a problem for me. If I do four “cycles”, that puts me finishing on June 29th. So, that’s the plan….

Way to go on putting our next to least favorite in as well. The dreaded Max Plyo. Looks like you will definitely achieve your goals on that routine.

Hey guys - just wanted to let you know that I started ChaLean Extreme today. I really enjoyed the workout! I took last week off to recover from vacation (got some kind of bug while in Punta Cana) so I was ready to get busy again! This was a good change of pace for me after 60 days of Insanity!

Also - I got a confirmation email saying that my shirt is on the way! Woohoo!!!

Have a great Memorial Day everyone - and please don't forget about our troops, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice!
