Isagenix vs. Shakeology
Isagenix vs. Shakeology
isagenix love shakeology

Are these two shakes comparable? I have a friend who is on the 9 day Isagenix cleanse and I am a Shakeology fan. Does anyone know how they stack up against each other or is this apples and oranges??

I didn't see anything as complex and nutritionally dense as Shakeology, but which Isagenix shake are you referring to?

I have been using Isagenix for about 2 years and I am now using Shakeology. The cleanse drink is disgusting but the Isagenix shake is yummy but does not compare to Shakeology taste. You do lose inches and weight with the cleanse but it is torture. If you did the 30 day system and only cleansed once a week that is a much better option. I have not lost any weight with Shakeology yet but I do love it.

Carlysmom, thanks for the information. With the cleanse drink, are you signifcantly reducing calories as well? Is that why you lose inches and weight or is it specifically because of the cleanse drink?

I know I can lose weight and inches using Shakeology 3 day or longer cleanse, but I'm also reducing caloric intake and eliminating dairy, sugar, etc. I guess my question comes down to: if you're cleansing with Isagenix v. Shakeology, which one will give you the most and best nutrients to support your body?

Well, I have never done the Shakeology cleanse but looking at it, it looks much easier to do then Isagenix! On the 9 day cleanse you drink a shot of the cleanse drink with 2 accelerator capsules then later you eat these isagenix snack wafers then cleanse drink 2 hours later then 2 wafers, then cleanse and accelerator cap, then two wafers then end the day with the cleanse. You do this on days 1,2,8 and 9. on days 3,4,5,6 & 7 you have the shake 2 times a day and you get to have a 400-600 calorie meal for lunch ( think salad with lemon juice with grilled chicken breast) .

There is more to the diet but yes, you will be reducing your calories significantly! On the cleanse day you can also have 1 added snack like 1 organic apple or 8 organic unsalted almonds. I chose the almonds and I ate them like a freakin squirre!! Little tiny bites to make them last loner!!! LOL I always went to bed early because I was starving on cleanse days and every channel on tv showed food commercials which were a killer!!! It's tough but I did it for a year cleasning once a week and doing 9 day cleanse every couple of months.

They have you measure EVERY part of your body and do that 3 or 4 times throughout the 9 day cleanse. I lost about 18-20 lbs and TONS of inches. They both have very good ingredients No harmful or bad things in them. Shakeology is yummy and the Isagenix cleanse drink is not but the shake is good. If I were you I would try the Isagenix for 1 round and see if you like it. I have NOT lost any weight with the Shakeology yet but I LOVE the taste.

I would NOT do Insanity on the Isagenix program, you would faint! I did kickboxing during my cleanse and made it through but low energy. After the cleanse I felt fantastic and everyone noticed the changes in my body.

I had been using Isagenix for about 2.5 years. I have now completely moved to the Shakeology and the Beachbody products. Although I did lose 25 lbs from the Isagenix products they are so expensive that I found the average person cannot afford to maintain a steady supply. The Shakeology tastes like a dark chocolate and I really like it better. Beachbody also has a Meal replacement shake in addition to the Shakeology and they have a 2 day fast (cleanse).

Here is what I am doing and it works and it is so much more affordable. I use Shakeology for breakfast every day. For lunch I use the Meal replacement shake (Chocolate) Both of these are a 30 day supply vs. the Isagenix 14 day supply (you need 2 for the month to replace 24 meals) Beachbody gives you 30 days. The meal replacement shakes are $10 less per can and you get 30 days vs. only 14 days with Isagenix.

The Shakeology shake is a few dollars less than Isagenix for the 30 day bag but you get free shipping on autoship, plus 6 more days of shakes vs. Isagenix. You are saving money. Then I take the Slimming formula supplement and buy a 2 day fast. I use that as my cleanse day. You can also follow the Shakeology cleanse. Either way, you aren't starving and the 2 day fast is chocolate. yum. They have the potassium in the Shakeology and the 2 day fast so you don't need the "Isagenix snacks" to add potassium.

I love the Beachbody product and the fact that no matter what program you are on you have to exercise to be fit and healthy. Beachbody has it covered all the way around. When cleansing with the fast you should not be doing strenuous exercise. Save that for the days you are getting nutrients from your shakes and eating a sensible meal. If you have to exercise on a cleanse day you should do light duty like walk or a quick AbJam workout.

Shakeology is also low glycemic for those who have issues with sugar. That is another thing that sets Shakeology apart.

Long story short - you are getting 1 Shakeology, 1 meal replacement shake, 1 two day fast, 1 slimming formula - a 30 day Beachbody program for less than the cost of an Isagenix 9 day program.

BONUS: You are getting your fruits and veggies from Shakeology which you have to purchase separately again with Isagenix (another $50+)

I agree- I too was a huge Isagenix fan- and I switched to Isa after using shakeology. After being required to spend 150 a month for 1 meal replacement a day $$$$ - my skin looking worse then ever and gas I had to ask myself is this worth it? My body dosent need to cleanse weekly For me isagenix equates to 1 starch, 1 protein and 1 fruit. (I do 3-4 oz of protein, and 1/4 cup of starch and fruit). It is higher is FAT- although the plus side of isagenix is it taste amazing in water- and I have to mix my shakeology- the blood work done at the hospital for my annual physical showed Shaekology does lower cholostrol, blood sugar, etc, So I went back to Shakeology for cost but more so it is much healthier for you! Would much rather get my veggies plus super greens in a yummy meal vs spending endless amounts of money on fruits and veggies that go bad- I live on a island so 8.00 for a small thing of blueberries, lol...shakeology saves me $$, keeps me fit, I lose weight and look and feel great. emoticon
