Yay Brittany! Sounds like you're doing fantastic! I'm on day 8 of Slim in 6 and yesterday was my last day of Start it up so I'm doing Ramp it up tonight after I get home from work. Super nervous about being able to last the whole 47 minutes. How are you doing on RIU? Also, are you eating differently, etc.? How do you think the Shakeology is helping you?

Hugs,
Debbie

I'm doing the full two weeks of Start it up! since I wanted to ease my body into it. But now, after reading your replies, I'm thinking about bumping up into Ramp it up! Start it up! is neither hard nor easy for me.

That's cool that we are almost on the same day of SI6. :-) Sounds like you are doing all the right stuff ... I too have been keeping calories under 1500 and have actually been using an app on my phone to keep track of everything I eat and drink. I've been eating pretty well anyway the past year or so (no fast food, no soda's, whole wheat bread etc.) but have been really paying more attention to my fresh veggie/fruit intake. I am now having at least one fresh fruit or veggie with each meal and snack. So I think the eating is covered for the most part, just need to ramp it up! hehe Thanks for the motivator for doing RIU because it's time for me to move up.

I'm taking the slimming and performance formula's because they worked for me the last time I did this program. I did SI6 in 2002 when I first had my baby and it helped me a lot which is why I'm doing it again. I know it works!

Am still debating on the shakeology only because of the cost factor. Will definitely keep what your thoughts are in mind tho. I noticed that my soreness is almost gone now since I've been taking the performance supplements; remains to be seen about the slimming formula but lots of people have gotten excellent results so I'm optimistic.

Anyhoo, working til 4, then my son's football playoff game, then home to do RIU then dinner. Yikes, what a day!

Hugs,
Debbie

Hi Rhaiyne
Doing the full two weeks of "Start it up" is fine. I just bumped it up, because I wanted the extra challenge and a longer workout. Try it, and see how you do. Just don't burn yourself out. =) Keep me updated. Good Luck to you! Don't get discouraged.

You guys have motivated me to try Ramp it up! today. Like my husband said, if it's too much, I can always step it back down. I'll let you guys know how I like it later! I'm excited... LOL

Okay that ended up being a lot harder than I expected. I was aware that it was tougher based off reviews, but the actuality of it surprised me. Needless to say, I'm sore today. I'm going to alternate Phase 1 and Phase 2 this week.

Hey ladies! Okay, I ended up not getting home until after 9:00 pm last night so doing my workout never got squeezed in. Sigh. Oh well, that was my rest day. Today I worked, squeezed in my SIU and now I'm running off to my stepdaughter's awards ceremony so another 16 hour day. Oy. At least I got my workout in; unfortunately I wasn't able to do the RIU cuz of my time restriction but will do it tomorrow. Oh well, at least I pushed play right? LoL

How's everyone doing??

Hugs,
Debbie

Yes Debbie,
As long as you are doing something you will benefit from it. =) So, yes.. just keep pressing play. But, in order to see the fast results you want you need to challenge your body. =)

By the way everyone... I have some great news that I hope will motivate and help you push yourself even more.
I'M DOWN 9 LBS SINCE I STARTED "SLIM IN 6!" Wooohoo!
Really does work, just keep to it!
I'm curious to see what my two week follow up picture is going to look like. I'm sure you are all too. =) Don't worry, I will share.
Anyways, I hope everyone is doing fantastic! Keep up the good work... and keep me updated.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you reach your health and fitness goals. I'm here to help! =)

Hey gals sorry its been so long since I have posted anything. Hope everyone is doing great this morning. I have had a little set back. Today is my day 3 of "Burn it Up" I was so sore this morning from yesterdays workout that I only did half of the workout. My hips and lower back are hurting. I feel like such a slacker emoticon I haven't been sleeping well and I think its starting to take its toll on me. I'm needing some much needed motivation for tomorrow morning! I'm glad I at least hauled myself out of bed this morning to do half the workout...HELP!

Oh I will be better about posting regularly too!

Sarah

Oh trust me Brittany, SIU still kicks my butt! I sweat bullets when doing that so I think doing it yesterday was okay but I know whatcha mean. :-) Am about to do RIU now, super scared but I'll get through it even if I have to modify or take breaks. I know I'll get used to the moves over time.

Will let you know when I finish, how it went. Oh and CONGRATS on the 9 pounds!!! Freaking awesome! I lost 2.2 lbs since last Monday (I'm only weighing myself one day a week) but I know this will take time. I feel stronger and my arms feel tighter so I'm happy with that. Also, is anyone measuring? I measured on the 2nd and wasn't sure when I should measure again ... in one month?

Thanks and hope y'all are having a great day!

Hugs,
Debbie

Hey Sarah! Wow, you are really a trooper ... I'm sorry you're so sore. I hate that. Any tips anyone has for her on that? Definitely getting sleep seems to help but I'm sure you know that. I hope you feel better today, maybe a rest day is in order? I'm envious of your progress and hope I can get to Burn It Up too! :-)

Talk to you soon - let us know how you're feeling!

Sarah,
If you are too sore to do the "burn it up" drop down to "ramp it up" that way you are getting the full total body workout. You will still see results either way just by being consistent. Don't burn yourself out. And yes, sleep is important. You should be getting at least 8 hours of sleep. But, yeah take it easy on yourself... trust your body. Not worth hurting yourself by pushing too hard with sore muscles. You are not a slacker if you are pressing play. =)Good luck, let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Also, make sure you are eating enough calories. Your body needs at least 1500 calories to function. So, make sure you are eating at least that. You are also suppose to be replacing the calories you burn. Just make sure you are eating healthy. You will see the pounds melt right off. (by drinking water and eating 5 meals a day about 300 calories a meal) Remember Dinner should be your last meal... that way your body can burn fat while you sleep cause it's so use to you feeding it that it starts using your fat. So, double bonus there! Woohoo!.. Good Luck to you, and have a wonderful day! =)

Hi Debbie,
Just keep moving if you have to take a break during "ramp it up" make sure you keep moving... like march in place, do knee up arms up, or leg kicks. It's important to keep your heart rate up... you burn lots more calories that way. Make sure you are drinking lots of water also. Thank you for the congrats. I literally had to weigh myself 4 times to believe my eyes. haha. You'll most likely see inches lost before you see the pounds melting away. =) So, I'm glad you are measuring. I however, did not measure when I first started "Slim in 6" but, I did measure yesterday. And I will measure again in 4 weeks. =) Have a good day!

All good ideas Brittany! I did RIU today and only had to stop during the resistance bands and the floor work which truthfully? was better than I thought. BUT. I felt sick to stomach afterwards (for a few minutes), cuz I really exerted myself so all in all, RIU was super hard but doable.

How do we find out how many calories RIU burns, do you know?

Thanks Brittany, have a good night!
Debbie

So, Sunday was my first day of RIU and I was toast on Monday. I did a combo of SIU/Elliptical with rest, and today I was able to do RIU again successfully. Dropping back down was a smart idea, for me.

I'm kind of afraid of BIU now since RIU seems so hard in comparison to SIU.

@Rhaiyne
Dropping back is a great idea, because only you know what you can handle. I had to do an entire extra week of Start It Up to really feel ready to do a good job at RIU. I am now using BIU and I can totally handle it now. I have to say, it is an insane increase from RIU, but don't be discouraged. Get there when you are ready! I remember the first day of SIU for me, I thought I would never get past that because it seemed so hard. Now SIU is super easy! So, you will progress, just don't rush past what your body tells you to do! You will get there, just keep pressing play!
