After Insanity - What to Do NOW!
Showing 14 results.
I looked everywhere and didn't see a response to this particular question so sorry if it is repetitive. I have officially finished my 60 days of Insanity (which took me a little over 60 days) as I had some interruptions due to medical reasons. Needless to say I am happy that I lost 20 lbs but would like to lose more. Is it normal or recommended to start the 60 days all over? I am hoping to do this with no interruptions this time and following the meal plan; but wanted to know if this is correct or should I follow a different schedule?

Please Help ME...looking forward to working out more and lose this post baby weight~ just want to make sure I am going about this in the right way!

Thanks :-)

Congrats on finishing! I have three more Insanity workouts to complete before I will be finished. I am also trying to lose the baby weight (which I was able to do with Insanity, but I have about 20 more pounds to lose to be at what is considered an ideal weight for me). I plan on taking a week off of high intensity workouts and then starting TurboFire to challenge my body differently. Do you have any other beach body workouts? I have P90x as well and there are great Insanity/p90x hybrid workout schedules out there (typically people replace all of the p90x cardio routines with an Insanity routine).

I think as long as you continue to eat well and challenge yourself a second round couldn't hurt... good luck!

You can definitely do the whole thing over again. Many people do a couple rounds of each program. I did Insanity, then Asylum. Now I am in recovery week going into the Insanity/Asylum hybrid.

I would do it again, nail the nutrition down raise the intensity. Or try another program. I'm doing insanity now and plan on doing p90x after but i might do insanity again. I missed a few days and also struggled with my nutrition. But there is so much good programs its all up to u.

insanity plateau hybrid program brazilian butt asylum increase energy

Reese624,
Congrats on losing 20 pounds! That is totally awesome!
I actually did not lose much at all during month 1 of Insanity and ordered the slim pills to speed up fat loss and increase energy. Also plan on adding shakeology for improved results.

After my second month of Insanity is completed I plan on doing the Brazilian Butt Lift. I think repeating Insanity won't necessarily help you get over that plateau. But the above suggestion of starting a hybrid program is excellent. I would definitely recommend that also.

If you are up for the challenge you could also start Asylum. I heard it really kicks it up a notch, even for Insanity graduates.

Good luck and let us know what you decide to do. :-)

Hi, Reese624! Congratulations on completing Insanity and doing so well! You're awesome!

I completed Insanity on 6/26/11, and just started the whole program over again this week. After I was done the first round, I did a week of random workouts, really for fun and to explore some of the ones I hadn't done yet. I did Fast and Furious, the Sports Interval Training workout, and part of the Insane Abs, just to see what they were all like. Then, I went on vacation for a week and took a break - no workouts at all. I continued using Shakeology and ate pretty well over vacation. (I only "cheated" a couple times, but the choices I made weren't really that bad.) I lost 2.5 pounds! When I got back, I was more than ready to start it all over again to keep firming up and to lose that last 10 pounds.

After doing the first few days, I can tell you it's just like when I started the first time - but with different challenges and different soreness. I'm amazed at how I can do the moves so much better, but now that I'm able to push myself farther and "dig deeper", I'm still exhausted and I sweat like crazy! I know I'm getting just as much, if not more, out of it the second time. I highly recommend going through the program again, especially if you want to lose more weight. I'm planning on moving on to the Asylum once this round is over, but I'm taking full advantage of everything Insanity has to offer with a second round before I move on to something new.

I also recommend using Shakeology. I didn't start using it until the second month of my first round of Insanity, and since then I've been hooked. (The chocolate is my favorite, but the greenberry is pretty good, too.) I noticed a difference in my energy level, digestion and cravings within a week. I've also started using the Results and Recovery formula for my second round, but I haven't used it enough yet to have a real opinion. It tastes great, though!

I'm doing Insanity again because there were things I couldn't do the first time, as well as the Deluxe version DVDs I haven't done yet - I wanted to get the most out of a program that has already helped me lose 20 pounds and 3 sizes, and has put me in the best shape of my life. (I haven't been this weight since high school!) Since you had some interruptions the first time, I would do it again - but you've gotten some really great advice from others here, too. Let us know what you decide, and good luck in whatever you do!

I was wondering the same thing except I'm a little under 2 weeks away from completing Insanity. Insanity helped me lose a lot of weight (which is great), but now I want to tone up! I'm not exactly sure which way to go next. I considered p90x, but I know there is no way I will be able to take in the amount of protein that is needed for it to be fully effective. Does anyone have suggestions? Does p90x still work with a healthy nutrition plan and not all that protein?

Congrats on nearly completing Insanity, that is great!

Question for you, why do you not think you can take in the amount of protein needed for P90X? There are lots of ways to get in protein besides eating a chunk of meat. I'm assuming you do not want to consume large amounts of meat. You can eat almonds (nuts are great sources of protein) in small amounts, peanut butter, beans, tofu, eggs and lots others.

Anyway, I was just wondering why you thought you couldn't take in the protein as P90X would be a great program to do.

I finished insanity about a month and a half ago. It was one of the best programs ever and i loved every minute of it. Afterwards I felt like i needed to do weights but didnt have the time for P90X so I bought Chalean extreme and I am finding that it is perfect for me. It is short (35 minutes a day)so on the days i have more time i do chalean and then a round of one of the 1st months workouts on insanity. That helps me mix weights and cardio and feel like i really burn off calories. After Chalean I will probably buy 10 minute trainer and mix that up with other videos. GOOD LUCK

Congrats on sticking with Insanity. No easy task to say the least.

What I've done is switch between P90x and Insanity in order to switch it up. Also, helps by not letting your body get used to the same routine over and over. Otherwise, if your body gets used to your workout routine, you'll stop seeing results until you change the workout or increase the intensity somehow.

I've also done two rounds of Insanity and then moving on to P90X. It's really up to you but I definitely recommend changing to a different workout as many others have mentioned. Good Luck and Keep Digging Deeper emoticon

Absolutely you can continue to 'dig deep' with Insanity ! I have been working out to INSANITY now for 5 1/2 months. In my opinion, I believe because the INSANITY program is 'circuit training' , and each routine is so intense, you will get a great workout everytime. You will know when your ready to switch it up to something different, but until then, if your happy with it, stick with it emoticon I certainly do not feel as though my body 'has gotten' USE to the same routine, but I will say the last couple of weeks I began feeling a little bored, so new that it was time to start a new program.

My newest workout is CHALEAN XTREME, which I started today ! It's deffinitely NOT intense like INSANITY, but I've heard only good things about it, so I WILL challenge the
90 day program and see where it takes me emoticon

Good Luck to you, and YES, keep diggin' deep with INSANITY as it's a GREAT program, and Im sure that once I finish the 90 days with Chalean Xtreme, Ill be back to diggin' deep with Shaun T !!

i know that there are extra disks to buy that focus specifically on the abs for month 2, so you can get those and incorporate them into your second month 2 work out. the nutrition guide also offers 3 diet types, which i would assume can be taken as work out types as well. if you focused on just losing weight the first time, the second time you do insanity can be used to build muscle.

Hi!

After reading that you have been doing Insanity for 5 1/2 months, I wanted to ask your opinion. My husband & I are on week 3 of Insanity. I feel great, but I have lost only 4 pounds and don't see a real difference yet. My husband doesn't need to lose any weight, he is trying to tone and he feels the same. When should be start seeing results?

A little background; we are following the nutritional guide and menu. I am eating about 1500-2000 calories a day with 5 meals and he is about 2000-2500. We have not cheated at all. I used to drink wine almost daily and now I haven't had it in 3 weeks and I feel that I should see more?!

Thanks!

Hi StacyRamos,

Although the scale isn't telling you much, you did say you are feeling more energy. One thing to remember is that the scale is not your friend. Have you noticed if your cloths fit better? That's how I measured the results. Check with your cloths and not with your wieght.
