I am a very phisically fit person who loves working out. I absolutely enjoy the intense cardio and fatige that insanity brings. I use whey protein to help my muscles quickly recover for the next day but i was wondering if it would be ok if I started to do two insanity work outs a day to improve results and performance. the whey protein helps my body quickly recover so would it be a good idea to do it. oh and i do insane abs every day and weigh lift 4 times a week.

yougtrackstar: I see no problem as long as you eat accordingly, you burn around 600-1000 calories on each Insanity sessions so if you are trying two a day, eat as much. Whey is not the only thing that helps you recover, you also need the glutamine, and the carbs. The 4:1 carb to protein ratio is the best way to go. You don't mention diet in the post so I would love to har about it. And, you need to rest. If you are combining weights with Insanity, I like that and I have a calendar for a P90X/Insanity hybrid if it interests you. Keep it up.

This help me! I was just thinking if doing Insanity twice a day, would be okay... My biggest issue would be making sure I eat more! I also drink whey Protein and use Protein Power butter with bananas-make a killer smoothie! I will be doing the Hybrid when I come back from vacation. For now, just want to burn lots of calories and do "insane" cardio that's Insanity offers! Now, I just purchased a Polar calorie heart-rate-and I'm a bit discouraged because I haven't even burned 400 calorie in Insanity work-out! I don't get it! :-/ I bust my butt, stay at 170-180 heart-rate... But we shall see.... Anyhow if anyone has any suggestions please let me know! Thanks emoticon)

At the weekend I do two INSANITY workouts. Initially I them back to back, but now I do one in the morning, one in the evening.

I can't say if the results are better, but I feel better for it. A day without INSANITY is a dull day indeed! My body craves the workout, although two minutes in it screams at me to STOP!

Like you I use whey, but I also eat plenty of other protein and carbs. Loads of fruit and veg, too.

I don't do it 2x a day everyday but maybe 2x a week? I did double up on the recovery week though. As long as you are listening to your body and eating enough it should be ok.

What is your goal (lose weight, gain weight. etc..)? What races do you run? You may want to cross train instead of doing two insanity workouts daily (bike, swim, run, lift weights). More of the same isn't always better. If you keep taxing the same muscles you may get an over use injury. I used to run track and cross country and we didn't do speed work every day. Your quick recovery is most likely related to your age. I would talk to your coach. Train smarter which isn't always more of the same thing.

If you want to be a great runner read about the science of running. Jack Daniels (not the whiskey) has a book called Daniels Running Formula. It will give you some sports science and running plans. Also, if you want to be a great runner you need to run.

Combine better running knowledge, running , and Insanity and you will greatly improve your chances of sucess. Whatever you choose good luck.

I wanted to double up also. I am leaving on vacation and will not be able to do it after mid June. I will continue to exercise, but will not be able to watch the videos. Any coaches want to chime in and let us know for sure yes or no if its a good idea?

i need help here. i'm on a no starch no dairy no sugar(meaning not even fruits because it has natural sugar) diet. I started doing insanity twice a day what im suppose to do the next day i do it at night meaning 1 in the morning and 1 at night. Please let me know what do you advise me because i wanna loose about 60 pounds byt december 30th
