"Add a gap" ??
10/31/11 11:00 AM
I read somewhere that you can pause your workout schedule, ie. add a gap. I went hunting with my husband and son yesterday and we hiked for 11 hours straight. We also did some Bear Grylls style mountain climbing. My body needs a break but I can't figure out how to keep from messing up my schedule.

Anyone know how to do this??

I assume you are talking about WOWY. It's pretty inflexible. I think you just need to delete your schedule and re-create it starting at whatever day you are on. I prefer to just it it manually each day as it much simpler and much less frustrating. emoticon

Hi - Yes you can Add a Gap in SuperGym!

How to do it:
1. Click on any day in the future on your calendar that contains a workout where you want to start your gap or vacation or "days off."
2. Click on the name of that future workout.
3. An "Edit Workout" screen appears. Click the hyperlink for "Take days off"
4. A pop-up for "Workout Gaps" appears. Click "Add Gap" and enter your dates.

Here's a screenshot, showing the steps:

Hope this helps!

That's my problem as well. Worked the first time I needed to add a one day gap. Two weeks later I tried to add another and it would not take. Needed to reload the entire program calendar. Now 60+ days in to P90X and I need to add a third day, and guess what....It will not work. How frustrating!

I had the same problem...apparently it only allows you to add one gap?? This is clearly a programming glitch--anybody know if they have any tech support we can report to to fix these problems?

I'll pass along a link to this thread to the person in charge of WOWY. Thanks for the heads up.

Urg...still a problem!!! I need two days off a week so it is very frustrating when my schedule gets thrown off by not being able to add a Gap!!!! I am finding myself having to add multiple gaps in a row, on days that I AM working out and when the function actually works, to catch my schedule up since I can't go back and add the gaps for the days I wasn't able to work out and couldn't add a gap. I hate wasting precious workout time trying to trouble shoot computer glitches. I've been trying to add a gap for 39 minutes now and my kids are about to get up...I could have been done with my workout!!! Please fix!!!!

A week ago, I added 2 gaps successfully. Now that I'm trying to add a third gap today, it will save it in the gap list, but it won't update my schedule.

I am having the same problem. I was able to add one gap successfully to my Turbo Fire/Chalene Extreme hybrid schedule. Now I need to add a second gap. It saves it in the gap list, but the gap is not appearing on my Supergym calendar. I agree that this is very frustrating when you are trying to follow along with a preset schedule! Now I am behind a day and just keeping track mentally. Soon I will have to be behind 4 days with my upcoming travels. Defeats the purpose of having the calendar track your workouts.

I'll forward your issue to tech. I also suggest you email customer service with a complaint about the functioning of the product. You're paying for it, right?
