Accountability: P90X2 Day 3: Recovery and Mobility complete. I probably should have gotten a foam roller. I did the modifications and improved from beginning to end but I wonder what will happen with one.

Below Are a few pictures. The first is February 3, 2011. The second is November 28th, 2011, after 3 rounds of P90X and repeating Phase Three while waiting for X2 to arrive. The third picture was Aug 30, 2012 After 2 rounds of X2 and 81Days of X2/RevAbs Hybrid.

Randy, incredible results dude. You mind if I use your pictures to inspire some of my friends?

I'm starting with a recovery week this week, (X2 recovery / yoga alternations) then I'll be starting next week on tuesday (since that's my monday) So I'll be a week behind you but I'll be posting on here too.

Yesterday I did Recovery and Mobility. Painful but man did my muscles feel good. Last night I slept through the whole night for the first time in years. I mean totally dead to the world which is rare for me. I have a really active mind so sometimes I wake up and it's tough to go back to sleep, I even had a protein shake before bed and didn't wake up once to use the restroom. (Although my bladder was about to explode when my alarm went off)

I think the foam roller is incredibly beneficial!

Sephiros,
Use the pics, I hope I can inspire many people to get off the sofa and take hold of their health.
I am going to have to get the foam roller, but it will have to wait until after Christmas. Have to get the yardmonkeys their presents since I already have mine. Or, I might try to make one, I have some PVC and closed cel. foam in my shop, hmmm thats an idea.
Thanks again,
Randy

Thanks Crzytimes,
It is great to get a compliment from you, a marine! Thank you for your service!

There is a mix of pride and shame. Shame because I let myself turn into the "fat guy". There were circumstances that aided it but I let those drive me in stead of me driving them. Pride, because I finally got motivated to do something about it. Pride because I am beginning to see the past the "fat guy" to the "fit guy" in the mirror.

KPP!

Accountability P90X2 Day 5: X2Yoga completed this morning and X2 AbRipper was completed last night.

I did not like doing yoga in P90X & would often substitute KenpoX or CardioX. I think the main reason I did not like it was my size at the time (362lbs and 52"pants) kept me from being able to get into and hold positions. I am still not sure I "Like" it but now that I have a 32" waist and 193lbs I am going to keep pushing play on this workout. I still had a little bit of trouble staying in position but I was able to recover and resume the positions.

I also discovered an App for the Iphone called "Push-Up Wars". The Leader board topped out at 250, I have a long way to go to get there. You should check it out.

Have a Blessed Day,

p.s. I am in WOWY Monday - Friday at 5:15am est and Sat.-Sunday around 7am est. See you there.

I started X2 Monday 12th. I'm much enjoying it. It's not what I was expecting. I do a lot of yoga with my X workouts and I do X Lean so I have a lot of Core Strength. I can definitely feel the core muscles by the end of the moves. Did ABX2 Last Night and my alternate Yoga this morning. I was on a time restraint and needed to be done in under 60 minutes.

hdej,
Great to have another join us. I wish now I had not replace Yoga in most of my time in P90X but I am committed to sticking it out this time. Any tips?

I had a lot of trouble with the P90x Yoga because I've done yoga for 20 years and I felt like the moves were made to aerobic for what I wanted to do. I actually have a secondary program that I use. APY60. I will actually use this as a supplemental and a replacement on cardio days for X when I wanted a change. As far as a tip for nailing Yoga. Take your time do your best and forget the rest. The object is to go until you feel the position. So example. If you are doing a twist and you are losing your balance when you try and straighten your arms up and down keep them together in prayer as long as you feel something. This variation you are still tightening your core and stretching it but by pushing your hands together you give yourself additional stability then gradually put the lower arm to the ground then take the top arm as high as you can go until you become unstable. If you can't continue breathing regularly and smiling you went to far. I use that as a test on myself. If I'm still thinking about other stuff or I smile to easily I need to go deeper. If I can't smile or breath easily I went to far and need to come back a little.

Good Morning Everyone!
Accountability: P90X2 Day 6: X2 BALANCE + POWER Complete!

Time:1:37:59
Cal. Burn: 754
Av. HR: 108
Max HR: 151

Balance is a struggle for me on this one. Once I found my balance I was good to go, but I would have to search for it. I can feel this in my abs.

Tomorrow I hit my 300th workout logged into WOWY (if I don't forget to log it).

Have a great Saturday, off to the yard monkey's basketball game.

Great job!!

I did TBX2 yesterday... Wobble Wobble Wobble... I hope to do more reps and less toe tapping! I can't do a pullup but I hope all the band in the door work finally gets me there!!
ABX2 and Yoga X2 today... My butt was never intended to be over my head... But I gave it my best and now I am forgetting about it emoticon...

I should've kept up with Yoga during Insanity... Oh well it will only get better!

Can't wait to Balance and Power tomorrow!

Stay Strong!

Great Job,

I got up and did Balance and Power this morning. I think my favorite was the mason twist with ball between the knees and weight. I much prefer the one legged burpee with no med ball. I did the three bonus moves figured there were only three and I had no time crunch. I may have to blow up the stability ball. I think some of these moves would actually be easier with the stability ball. I did the Renegade Row 4 full and 2 1/2's. The full I had my arms really close to my sides but felt pretty good. I need to work on my breathing through those.

Tomorrow is truly a rest day, well lawn mowing & I have studying to do.

So more Posts on Monday. Have a good weekend.
