I have a question about nutrition-
First to tell u about myself ive done insanity before and gotten good results....Im 5'5 170 lbs and between 15-17% body fat and im trying to get down to 155-160 and 10-13% body fat,at 32 years old

Ive started p90x2 and feel that im not getting as lead after doing it for two weeks

1)according to my daily caloric target(2140) it says i should be eating 1800 calories aday, however i feel like i should be eating more like 2000-2100,am i right in my thinking?or should I keep as close to 1800 calories a day as possible?

2)It says you should only be on the fat shredder plan for a short peirod of time (three weeks),is that right or should you or can you stay on it longer,(a month or more)

Is there any trainers or ppl who have done the program that can help me

Sean,
I'm currently on week 10 of P90X2 and at 5'9", I've gone from 174 to about 160. I got to 174 over the previous 17 months from a high of 215.

I try to stay in the 2100-2400 calorie range every day, and get as close to the performance ratios as possible, but I'm really at about 1/3 each of carbs/protein/fats.

I tried to start at the fat shredder, but I just couldn't get enough protein without drinking it all. I also need to consider what my wife and kids want to eat, and I travel half the week for work, so it's been a challenge.

I think that working out as hard as you can and running at a deficit while keeping a decent ratio of your macro nutrients is key.

I've sent you a buddy request if you want to discuss it in more depth.

Hey i have a diet now of the 40Pro/30carb/30fat breakdown, however its alot of protien per meal(6-7 oz)of chicken/beef etc,is there a protien bar or supplement that can be the equiv of the protien for a meal(5-6)oz of meat, that isnt goin to disrupt my carb balance, because buying all of this meat is awful expensive!!

I strugglw with that too, but I usually try to get the protein in my snack meals. I've been doing a fair amount of cottage cheese and greek yogurt lately. Sometimes, I'll add in a drink with water and a scoop of protein powder, or I'll add extra protein to my Shakeology.
I also use bars from time to time, but you won't find many that are in that ratio profile, the best you can hope for is the same number of carbs and protein.
I also like pouches of tune for an inexpensive protein boost.
