Hello! My name is Susy, I am 26 years old, I have been overweight all my life. Been active and decent on eating habits, found out that the reason my weight doesnt come off was because of a hormone or lack of hormone. HYPOTHYROID. I have decided to do an alternative form of treating my disease, and have adopted a Eating for healing alternative. I have managed to control my thyroid in which the Dr's looked at me like its not a Cure, but a "Coincidence". I feel as I can break the chains furthur by including a fitness program into my life. I will be starting off with Power 90 to build endurance and strength and prepare for P90X. Once I do 2 Rounds of P90X I will move on to Insanity. I hope I can find people here somewhere that can help be some support.

Heres another kicker, I am Vegan and eat Raw. So I dont fit in my family at the moment when it comes to coming together and having dinner. Being the fact that im a BIG girl, when I eat healthy people look at me like I must be kidding myself. SO I really hope that Beach Body can be that Sling Shot I need to make Physical changes that can be recognized in my way of living and eating. I would like to be a Role model for my future kids, not lazy, lathargic and Im tired of excuses.

This time ITS SERIOUS!!!

One long Journey but im not giving up! This is war against everything that is falsely believed about my life.

Also, Im not going to be doing this alone, my boyfriend is also attacking this monster with me. (BTW FYI Update: 1/16/2014- No longer with this boyfriend Jayqban broke up a long time ago)

Ive never done this before so don't judge .....
to start off i have always been "fat" maybe it was because my mom and dad was divorced when i was 5 and my mom didn't have any other means but fast food and tv to raise me she had 3 jobs and when she got home she had to deal with 3 growing boys my grandma helped when she can but it was just us and my mom when i was older i started to help out more baby sit my bros and feed them what i could macaroni and cheese and just a lot of microwavable meals but the main thing that started this whole "im better than this" attitude i have is my fiance "pitbullfitness" she inspired me to change to break my norm and try something Ive never tried now that i am 26 i have my own house i can now buy the foods that i really need not want and now adding p90 to my regiment this no longer is a diet to loose weight this has mutated into a drive to change my life my thinking and my appetite thank you to beach body for making a product that works but most of all thank you to the love of my life and the savior of my life "pitbullfitness"

Here goes My DAY 1's

Day 6: Just finished working out right now. Sweated really nice, I can honestly say that this week I already feel improvement in flexibility and endurance.

Next week personal goals: 1. Able to do a complete Plank without pause.
2. Be able to do atleast 5 complete Pushups (Girl Pushups)
3. Incorporate Walking my dogs every night before going to bed

Hey Dawn! Thank you for coming by and showing some love, it was getting lonely here emoticon.
Yes Hypothyroid sucks.. I never took what the Dr prescribed even though they tried to scare me with bells and whistles of why I should. I strongly believe that our bodies can reconstruct themselves to better health and even fix problems. After all, most things prescribed such as Synthroid only affects symptoms not the ROOT cause. lol!
Yesterday was my Rest day, went to the beach and the County Fair, felt good but kinda miss the Working out part. Im debating incorporating some 10 minute trainer for extra cardio on Sculpt days. How are you guys doing it?

OKay, so yesterday was our DAY 7 (REST DAY) We went to the beach and then went to the County Fair. Being that it was a Rest/cheat day, we really only cheated with one Item of food and did well eating other meals. Big plus was that we were walking the fair so that kept us sorta being active. Con - We didn't feel the sun because it was breezy, ended up really sunburned BOTH OF US. OUCH! So today DAY 8 will be interesting doing Sculpt with Skin that doesnt want to stretch lol!!!

I believe pictures are worth a thousand words.. so here ya go for Documentation!

DAY 8: 3/30/2012 Sculpt 1-2 Complete

This was hard today, because I have a horrible sunburn, I am weak with sun poison but we pushed PLAY regardless. I honestly didn't feel the burn on the workout. I don't know if Im already immune to this workout? Is this possible??

I don't know...

Is anyone out there?!!

Im also having really bad cravings for things I shouldn't have.. So I am frustrated but remaining strong due to DRIVE and MOTIVATION. Not loosing focus on the bigger picture but this is tough without any feedback. No one I know is doing this, I am also trying to keep my mans motivation up so this is hard....

Ufff...

Thinking of adding some sort of Cardio from 10 minute Trainer during Sculpts because I don't feel the burn or sweat or anything...

So far:

Day 1: Day 8:
Weight: 240 230 = -10
Waist: 46.5 46 = -.5
Hips: 54 53 = -1
Chest: 42 42 =
R.Arm: 19 17.5 = -1.5
L.Arm: 17.5 16.8 = -.7
R.Thig: 27.5 27.5 =

Well thats outlook for first week... and concerns.. KPP! See ya tomorrow

Keep it up! I started with Krav Maga and took off about 30 pounds. I took off the last of my weight with Chalene Extreme. Hubby and I also had a personal trainer one year that taught us a lot! We started eating more often but off of salad plates. Instead of totally changing our diet we incorporated more fresh fruits and veggies. We started the Shakeology in January and we have seen results with that.

Those sunburns look painful! Ouch! I am fair skinned so I feel your pain, but would rather be on the beach than in the middle of Texas! emoticon If you have any other questions feel free to send me a message. I will be happy to help anyway I can!

Your so cute! lol Yeah they are painful!! lol.. Skin doesnt want to stretch with me.. Blah! I saw the Shakeology thing but we do so many smoothies that its equivalent to them.
Anytime people incorporate more plant based foods, always great for rebuilding cells in the body to fight diseases and symptoms and of course loosing weight and gaining health.

Think about it, if you are what you eat, plants live YEARRRRSSS if kept right.. We eat plants we will health!

I am definetly going to take your advice and add some other work out to my regimen because I like to sweat and the Sculpt feels like "Simon says game" I really dont feel anything but on the Pushups YES, Pushups are my nemesis!!!!

I noticed that you said you werent feeling it and you werent sweating? Are you drinking enough? With the sunburn your body is probably keeping all your fluids to heal your skin. Just up your water intake and you will sweat! emoticon And in terms of feeling it, do you mean like muscle pain? A week or two in you probably wont feel the muscle pain too much unless you up your weights or do deeper squats and so on. It really depends on what you put into the workout. But power90 is truly a great workout and you will love p90x. That is the plan that i am on, and i will start phase 2 of p90x on monday.
Keep pushing plaY! emoticon

If you are craving "things you shouldn't" and one of those things is chocolate, try the chocolate shakeology. It will help you with your weight and it feels like cheating cause it tastes so good! emoticon

Amber - Thanks For stopping by and showing this noob some love! Weekends are actually easy because we purposily started on a THURSDAY so that we are working out on those days like a constant reminder of what we are doing this for. Its really hard for JayQban because of cuban cuisine family offers and the smells and aromas when we go to family houses is soo temptalizing. But! We remind ourselves how bad we want the 6 pack abs! Thats sufficient when we are this big and knowing we have such a long journey ahead of us... Yesterday we wanted to skip sculpt but i reminded him its only about 20 minutes and before we know it ..its done..! lol.. so we did emoticon Today is Day 9 and we are pushing that play button for Cardio/Abs.

Nsolander - Hey! Yes I felt it the first 3-4 days but now its real easy and I don't feel it. It feels like Simon Says lol. I think your right about the Sunburn because Ive never been this burnt in my life! I drink alot of fluids because of our new lifestyle way of eating. Which is Organic/Raw/No animal products/no GMO/no MSG/ Nothing processed. Its a bit extreme but its the only thing that has worked for us in a mental/physical/emotional/spiritual level.
I do need to up my water ..your absolutely right. Since Ive been feeling under the weather because of the sunburn, I am doing my workouts but im not eating or drinking because of the Nausea I have from the Sunburn Pain. Im going to take that advice! MAS AGUAAA!!! The cravings Ive been having is because I went to the County Fair and they have Horrible food there that friends and family were eating that at one point in my life I used to eat, and I just craved that too. But being healthy is the greatest Craving I have right now so that has the upper hand lol!!!

Hey Susy, I think that you are aon a roll. The hard part is starting, you did that. The harder part is staying on track, you are doing that. I hear you loud and clear and what you are doing by logging and seeking accountability and motivation is fantastic. I just finished P90X2, and I have my share of joint issues, so I had hurdles to overcome. I have never been a strong finisher, but I did this time. I am currently on a new round of P90X, and going strong. Keep up the great work, and don't let anything stop you.

You hit on some good points. Water, Water, Water! Key to success. Going extreme on what you are eating, no such thing as too extreme, way to go. Keep convenient healthy foods around, the will help when you feel the need or craving to eat. Try the trick of drinking extra water, when you think you may be hungry. Keep up the great work, success will be yours.

Uuuff, Guys I skipped yesterday, I wasn't feeling good at all. The Sunburn, the Nausea, the multiple things dropped my body down where I didnt want to do anything yesterday. So I took an additional REAL REST day. I didnt do anything!!! I feel guilty, but I have to listen to my body. Today is a better day and I am going to Double up my workout, makeup for yesterday and bring it with todays workout. So Sculpt 1-2 and Cardio/abs 1-2 I might throw in a 10 min Trainer. I think that additional Rest day is what I needed.
I took time to hydrate myself and rest by body from all the aches and fever.

Capt - Im definetly going to go to your thread I could use a group thanks!

Ill be back later

DAY 10: 4/1/12 Sculpt 1-2 and Make up for yesterday's skipped workout Cardio/Abs

JayQban isn't to active on the boards. Hes a bit frustrated he feels like a fool doing some of the workouts. I don't know what to do... I have advised him that if hes more active on the boards he'll see that there are other Males that are in similar situations and they are not fools. Im just hoping he doesnt give up so early in. I am definetly going to keep pushing play and make it happen. I can't go back! I have already put the most embarrasing pictures of myself up. I have told my family members that this time its gonna happen...

People have said before, FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION. I Really has taken that serious! I can't!

I have something to prove to myself and my family this time. I just don't think I have the support I need which was my Fiance. His frustrations are starting to get to me, making me loose positive outlooks and guys I really don't want to loose my inspiration, positive energy or drive. Please help! emoticon
