| RE: reset 12/13/12 12:06 PM as a reply to hdej. Yeah, I've been messing with some diet plans that are similar to Reset but geared towards tapering for an event, so you're still need to both exercise and keep your performance at the highest level while concurrently tapering your training and trying to lose (or at least not gain) a little weight to perform your best. I have not perfected it yet because, well, if you don't test in extreme sides of it you never know exactly where to push it.
Reset, however, is ALMOST a normal diet in terms of carbs, proteins, and fats. Certain weeks of it are. If you followed its main guidelines but ate enough calories to you'd be able to exercise. I've heard of a few people complete Reset using this general guideline. They've told me it went "fine" but I've yet to discuss it in depth--though no one has given me reason to think it needed in depth discussion. Depending on how you eat now there will likely be a performance adjustment as you get used to doing things without fuel sources chosen for many (simple carbs, caffeine, etc) but once used to it any Beachbody program should be fine (though probably impossible to gain much mass with Beast). Longer endurance sports training would be more challenging. |
