Super excited for the Facebook Challenge group! My hubby and I started Les Mills on Sunday and we are loving it! This is an awesome workout for couples to do together!

Right on! I bet if a woman can get results from it that fast, a man can REALLY get results out of Les Mills Pump!

Hi,

I'm already on week 1/2 of Phase 2... could I join?

Anyway, congratulations on your transformation! As a fellow mother, I can appreciate your effort and awesome body change!

Ray and I are starting week 2 already, and man time really does fly when you are having fun! I am feeling these
workouts in my back, in an absolute good way. There can't be any way I end up with an ounce of back fat after this 90 days, it is leaving fast! Rachel, your 90 day pictures are so inspiring, I can't wait until July for mine! ~ Janet

Thanks Katerina!

Janet - with a combo of clean eating and Les Mills, the back fat goes away. That was actually the one fat spot I was happiest to get rid of, even more than tummy or hips. Back boobs don't look good on anybody.

Got in a few Pump workouts this week - Pump & Shred 3x. That one definitely has my favorite ab track. I love the "car wash!"

OK, TurboRachel, I have to ask: EXACTLY what kind of clean diet did you use? I'm on week 11 of LMP and I don't have results that even come close to what you've attained. You are my new hero.
My upper body has leaned out, but my lower body...bleck. Still have dimply knees and a lower belly pooch.
I was using Nutrisystem before I started LMP and had lost about 10 lbs. And the, the inevitable plateau. And it's been the same throughout the LMP program. But I'd still like to lose another 5-10 lbs. I've just switched back to my normal, old clean eating nutrition program, but I WANT RESULTS!!
Are you following one of the BB nutrition plans or something else or just common sense?
I want tips and I want info!!
Lori

Welp, I follow something similar to P90X phase 2 or Insanity's nutrition plan only a paleo version as I am allergic to wheat and don't do legumes very well either. Half of my meals are lean protein, the other half is veggies and usually there is a small portion of a healthy (unsaturated) fat. My snacks are almonds and berries. So for example:

Breakfast:
Scramble with 4 egg whites, 2 whole eggs
plain greek yogurt (instead of sour cream)
salsa
half a grapefruit

Snack:
100 calorie pack of almonds
handful of blueberries

Lunch:
Salmon patty or left over chicken breast or sometimes a turkey burger
mixed green salad
1 tbsp oil and squeezed citrus

Snack:
100 calorie pack of almonds
handful of berries or maybe a greek or icelandic yogurt

Dinner:
6 oz chicken breast
steamed veggies
mixed green salad
1 tbsp oil and squeezed citrus

Dessert:
Shakeology ice cream (ShakeO mixed with almond milk, almond butter and a frozen banana)

Interesting...that's not too different from what I would do actually. Except I do have a weakness for salad dressing instead of oil and citrus. emoticon
Do you have somewhere that sells 100 calorie packs of almonds or do you just portion it out yourself. I'm essentially lazy when it comes to preparing food, so this helps!
It really looks like the biggest thing that's different for me is the wicked and yummy salad dressing! Curses!!!
Have you tried any suspension training, like TRX or Rip: 60? I just got the latter and am trying to incorporate it into my beloved Les Mills Pump program.
Well, you look great and I envy those abs!
I've printed your suggestions and - oh, another question....how much cardio are you doing with your LMP? Just the recommended or are you some crazy workout woman doign cardio twice a day?? Thanks again! Lori

Safeway sells 100 calorie almond snack packs. They're Emerald brand. Amazon Fresh carries them too.

I do cardio when it says "walk" and sometimes I add a HIIT workout (short one) on to the HCA and Flow days. Just to warm my muscles up before doing HCA.

So, I tried your oil and citrus on my lunch salad yesterday and much to my shock and dismay - it rocked. I didn't miss the creamy, thick dressings at all. Thanks for the tip! I will need to get the proportions of each perfected, I think, but it was quite yummy.
Yesterday's salad was greens with grilled chicken and alittle feta cheese. So, EVOO and citrus worked great. Maybe this will help.
I'm also cutting back drastically on my Diet Coke addiction. Limiting myself to 2 per day. I'm sorry, it's my only bad habit!
I'll have to look for the packs at Safeway...
Thanks again for the hot tips! Lori

Lori - I must confess that I do drink diet soda. Usually I drink stevia-based diet soda, but diet coke does get in there too.

Glad you liked the oil and citrus! It's pretty good, huh! Works with lemon, orange and even lime. I definitely prefer it to oil and vinegar.

Crazy workout day for me. Les Mills Pump & Shred, Fire 60 and then a 2 hour hike. My shoulders definitely have some DOMS going on, but I feel amazing after pushing that hard. THANK GOD FOR R&R!!!!! emoticon

I know, right? I'm so jealous of those abs...

Well, I'll put it this way: I went through a whole month of Les Mills Pump and the scale did not budge. But I dropped a dress size. The scale isn't your friend, it just tells a little piece of the story not the whole picture. Now the measuring tape on the other hand, that will tell you what's going on.

Rachel - your results are awesome!

I'll be starting LMP after I finish the Ultimate Reset in mid-May. I just ordered yesterday and can't wait to see what's in store for me. I heard that the first few weeks are pretty mild, so that will work great for me just coming off the Reset. I'm supposed to ease back into things. I really miss working out, but the Reset has been great for me in so many ways, besides just the fact that I've lost almost 7 pounds!

Good luck everyone, and I'll join you when I can!

Laura
