Beachbody in the UK
beachbody insanity butt brazil t shirt asylum living in the uk uk style

Hi,

I have noticed that there are lots of people in the UK who are doing a Beachbody program but are disappointed by the lack of support. Beachbody are hoping to enter the UK market fully but, as we know, there is lot of red tape. Our time will come!

In the meantime, we can keep on bringing it, UK-style, while supporting each other on here. Feel free to use this thread to share your story, successes and challenges, as well as ask or answer any questions. Together, we can achieve great things - not least, letting Beachbody know that we are committed to their programs. Let's do this! : )

I will start the ball rolling.

My name is Pamela. I am a 36 year old teacher, living in the UK. I commenced my Beachbody journey in August with Insanity. Baptism of fire, indeed! A fantastic and challenging program. Earning the t-shirt was a very proud day indeed. Since then I have completed P90X and am currently digging deep with Asylum, as well as doing some Brazil Butt Lift. I have really enjoyed each of these programs. Although I have always been active and quite fit, I can honestly say that I am in the best shape of my life. There is no turning back now!

If anyone would like to join this thread to motivate, educate and congratulate each other, please go ahead.

I went out for dinner and drinks last night. Went on a pub crawl ... Drinking mocktails. Since starting to focus on fitness, my interest in alcohol has disappeared. It's not an effort to not drink.

Just wondering if other people have had the same thing, or whether you are continuing that part of your life as before?

Hey I'm in the UK. Just finishing insanity in a couple of days then I wanna try Chalean Extreme.

I love the workouts (Shaun -T taking his shirt off might just help a little!) but I think the beach body site is the pits. We pay the same £ signup rate as the US yet we get nothing. Very disappointed. I can't even claim my Insanity t shirt I don't think!

Hi there, so sorry I didn't reply before. I got no notification of your message. Congratulations on finishing Insanity. Are you pleased with your results? And yessss, I do like it when Shaun T takes his shirt off. Gives you a wee energy boost, just when you need it, ha ha.

You can actually apply for your tshirt. Just send your details to successstoriesUK@beachbody.com

How are you liking Chalean Extreme now?

Hey folks,

Also from the UK and share the same frustrations, got just over two weeks left for Insanity and my next option is only really P90X, think there are 8 products to pick from out of all the ones the USA do.

Bit of a shame that P90X has had P90X+ and recenlty P90X2 but we are still on the 1st one.

Being a guy O don't share quite the same view when Shaun T takes his top off.... but i see you point emoticon

I'm sure you can get the shirt in the UK, will be gutted if you can't after the Ad's said you can. I have read threads that you can't get it in Canada though even though they are next door to the USA emoticon

Im from ireland so have the same problems as UK residents, im just into my second week of insanity and loving it . As somone who was fairly fit prior tp starting i can't believe how mental the cardio is i this program and im already starting to feel changes in my body and in my fitness levels. Looking to do the P90X after this or maybe a hyrid program as ive heard the cardio in the P90X is not as intense as insanity. Hope teambeachbody products do come to ireland and the uk as i would really like to try shakeology.

Hey, 24 in London! Started Insanity a week ago, and yes, I've been for work drinks a few times since then (I work in the City so they're pretty regular) and I haven't had any interest in drinking at all, so it helps my new years resolution! Combined with quitting smoking a month ago, I've never felt better! Good luck everyone!

Hi guys!

I'm from Wales!! Cardiff to be precise.

I'm doing insanity, at the end of my second week currently.

I wish they would completely expand their market to UK, so we could get the full benefits of beachbody (I also would love to try shakeology).

Hi guys,

I've just started my insanity program. Only on day 4 but was wandering if any of you could advise on a good recovery drink to take after the workouts?

Thanks

John

Hi guys,

I'm living in shropshire

Just started insanity week 2, loving the workout and intensity. I agree, wish they would open things up more. I mean P90x which i love is now around 7-8 years old, insanity has been around 4 years. THey are still amazing programs but would love to take advantage of the new ones! Once i have completed a few more rounds may have to go back to local gym to take advantage of classes to get something different, not happy about that really.

I have only tried maximuscle recovery drink, was ok but pricey, the supplement store has loads of recovery drinks but cannot vouch for quality unfortunately.

Keep up the good work

Anthony

Hey John,

How is it going? I just finished Insanity and will be starting it again. I lost 1.5 stone and loving it but it was hard work, I just forced myself to press play very morning.

I've been using maximuscle promax diet for recovery and its worked well for me, stopped the aching!

Stay with it

Cheers

Jose

The lack of response seems to be a worldwide problem. My coach has never responded and when I emailed BB for ideas on getting a new coach, that too went unanswered. I'm in Canada, apparently BB has just broken into the Cdn market, not sure if you know or not but they are a MLM organisation. So they're immediate attention is to build the levels.

Don't get me wrong I love my P90X and insanity as well. Currently doing the reset cleanse with reasonable results. I just think the support is out the window. I went off track about a year & gained all my weight back, hence the cleanse, once I'm done the cleanse I'll be back to P90X, so for me the website is motivation with all the before & after photos and have lost faith in any possible one on one support.

Anyway, good luck and keep up the hard work.

Hi Jen, sorry to hear about your problems with your coach. I'm a beachbody coach here in Canada and would love the opportunity to help you out. I've been using Beachbody products for over 18 months and I've had great help, support and motivation from my coach. I've now joined their team and our number 1 priority is to help people. Maybe you would like to join our Summer Slim Down challenge that we started 2 weeks ago. We are offering some great prizes for weight loss and for supporting others.

Hi I am from UK and my son and I are 4 weeks into the insanity program. My son whos' 13 and was very anti fitness and in the past refused to do anything fitness at all- has embraced the workouts and encourages me to do my sessions (£100 incentive from dad, £20 incentive from grandad and a little extra from me really helps him focus!). He has lost around 4kg's and his body has changed - mostly he stands straight now and looks a lot taller, he is also much more active. I haven't been as sucessful even though I do the workouts, put loads of effort in and eat what I think is sensible foods - I haven't lost any weight, my body is pretty much the same and the inches haven't got smaller as yet. This is our fourth week and we are looking forward to the recovery week.

I have been doing a lot of reading and my lack of success could be not eating enough though I do have an underactive thyroid which has been very up and down for a few years - hubby thinks this has a lot to do with my weight..etc. any advice will be greatly received.

It is lovely to have found this message board as frustrated I couldn't get the support needed- even had to make up an America address to sign up- did anyone have to do this or have I completely got things wrong and there was a better way...wanting to sign up my son especially so he can get the t-shirt as so far deserves it..( and me even me though they may not believe I actually have given every sessions 6 days a week as much effort as I could)

cheers,
Val
