Insanity app for iPad/Iphone
I was very excited to see that P90x does have an app, but considering I use my dumbbells for that when I am on the road, Insanity is more what I was looking for to take on the road.

When will Insanity have an app available?

In the meantime, consider converting all the videos sessions into mp4 (or similar) format and flip th onto your smartphone or tablet. I keep Insanity, P90X, TurboFire, ChaLean Xtreme, Ten Minute Trainer, Brazil Butt Lift, and a bunch of other workouts on my iPhone and iPad. When I'm on the road, I stream it through my Bluetooth earpiece or stream it to a TV using an HDMI connection. Can you imagine carrying around all those DVD's?? And use MyFitnessPal to track food and exercise burns.

Just a suggestion.

Thank you Fat Cat Elvis for the good advice.

However, my Ipad is only 16GB, and each workout takes up about 1.5 GB. How are you able to have all these workouts on your unit without using up all the capacity?

Looking forward to your reply.

Each mp4 file shouldn't be larger than half gig tops for the sessions that are about an hour long. Most 45min video are usually 350-400MB.. Try reducing the size (was it set to original?), I like keeping the 16:9 ratio but you can resize to fit the ratio of iPad (or reduce the ratio even further by 2/3 without affecting video quality too much), use 23 fps, lower the bit rate (probably at 1200, lower it to, say, 700) and use H.264 format. Test out on longest workout. I know it takes time, but once you have the right configuration, it'll work like a charm. Hope this helps.

Is there any way you can give me a quick lesson on how to do the conversion from dvd to mp4 and adjust ratios, etc? Via pm would be great.

Thanks much.

Were you able to get this to work? Can you message me with how to do it?

Thanks!

You dont even have to do it this way as long as you have a decent internet connection wherever you're traveling.

There is an app for iOS called 'Video Stream' - you can stream any video from your home PC to your iOS device. I use it a lot and it works really well. You save the space on your iPad/iPhone and still watch any video in most formats.

Could you tell me how you did this conversion to that format. My DVDs won't let me rip them.....
