Welcome to the Team Reddy thread for motivation, support, advice... and... PRIZES! (more on that at the end) This is your LAST CHANCE to get in shape in 2012, before the end of the world! Make your new years resolution NOW. Don't wait!

This is a thread is designed to help keep you going and support you every step of the way through your fitness journey. Whether you're looking to lose 10 pounds, 100, or even gain weight - I'll help you get answers to all your questions, and most importantly - KEEP YOU ACCOUNTABLE. I've had the pleasure of working with some of the most committed and hardworking people around over the last year, and their results have been STAGGERING! I couldn't be more proud.

So jump in and join the fun! REGARDLESS of program, we want you here and we want you posting and we want you to succeed in changing your life. Oh, and we DEFINITELY want some NEW FACES! If I can offer any help or advice along the way, it'd be my pleasure to do so. Additionally, if you'd like to hear about the opportunity to make some extra income with Beachbody, send me a message and we can chat!

But who the heck am I? Lemme give you the backstory.

I'm a professional singer and actor living in NYC, and I've always been scrawny. Two and a half years ago I decided it was time to change that, so I picked up a copy of P90X. Six months and two rounds of the X later, I was in great shape. My results were exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I subsequently packed up and moved from Chicago to the Big Apple, and in the transition, my workouts got left in the dust.

Fast forward to last October. I was finishing a run of a rock musical in Manhattan, when I got a powerful respiratory infection. I had to power through and perform anyway, and I severely damaged my voice in the process. Essentially, because of that illness and my bad health habits - diet, lack of sleep, general not taking care of myself - I took myself out of commission for a whole five months. An actor who can't perform or even audition isn't doing anyone any good, so I realized I needed to make a big change.

Now, I've cut out dairy, I refuse to ingest high-fructose corn syrup (or any processed foods for that matter), and I've eliminated almost all alcohol. Today I live a much healthier lifestyle, and my voice is back and working like it should. I'm starting a new round of P90X, and I'm taking dance classes and extra yoga on the side. In my line of work, I can't afford to be sick, so I need to turn my body into a well-oiled machine. Beachbody, P90X, and Shakeology, and my commitment to OWNING my life made it happen.

So enough talk - where are the pics!? Well here are my most recent results:

This is what these programs have done for me (P90X, Insanity: The Asylum, Body Beast + Shakeology), and now as a Coach I'm here to get you the SAME results. Beachbody's changed my life - let's change yours too.

So join Team Reddy, and let's get going. Why waste another day? Isn't it time you OWNED YOUR LIFE?

Post your name, age, weight, program, supplements, start date and goals, and don't forget to BRING IT!

And starting now, anyone who COMPLETES a program with Team Reddy will win a special wristband commemorating your accomplishment! So stop waiting, and get started TODAY!

I'll start!

Name: Andrew
Age: 26
Weight: 140
Program: Typically P90X, but this time, I'm going for The Asylum!
Supplements: Shakeology (strawberry), P90X Recovery Formula, ON Egg Protein, Clif Bars
Start Date: June 25th
Goals: I've made great strides in P90X of adding lean muscle mass, dropping body fat and toning up, but I want to be able to do anything. No joke. I want my body to be able to handle every task thrown at it, and I want to become a well-oiled machine both in tangible ways (strength, speed, agility) and intangible (immune system). I also want to really OWN my life. I want to live life, and make money on MY terms - not someone else's, and that's why I became a Beachbody Coach. This is something I can do to not only help myself get in shape and earn some extra money, but I can actually make a difference in the world by helping end the trend of obesity in this country. I'm here to help YOU change your life. emoticon

Extra: Today is day one of my warm-up to P90X Classic. I think its Plyo. It'll be my first Plyo ever! [sarcasm]How hard could it be?[/sarcasm]
Little more Extra: It'll be nice to be on a thread where the person that started it is still around.

Thanks Coach R for starting the new thread. My details are as follows

Name: Tom
Age: 53 (until Monday, June 11)
Weight: 237
Program: 20 days remaining on first round of P90x. After a couple of weeks of rest and beach, intend to start P90x-plus
Goal: Weight loss to 200-210, depending upon acceptable body fat. Then re-start my running program. Definitely get a half marathon under my belt and maybe, if the body can handle it, a full marathon. But, most importantly, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years from now, I'm still eating clean enough, and working out enough, to stay under 210 and never, never, never backslide for 50-60 lbs again.

Name: Josh
Location: Boston, MA
Age: 37
Weight: 160 (!)
Program: I am just under the two-weeks-remaining mark for completing my first round of P90X. After being badgered into submission, I have agreed to take one week off upon completion, after which I will begin my second round of P90X.
Start Date: June 25
Goals: During the first round of P90X I dramatically increased my endurance and lowered my weight by about 20 lbs, and the achievement of both goals has left me very excited to explore my potential. During my second round, I hope to lose some additional weight, though not as much. I am shooting for a weight around 150-152lbs, with the idea that most of the weight lost will be body fat. When my body fat % is at 9 or 10%, I intend to up my calories and start adding lean muscle and increasing my overall strength performance.

Name: Erik
Location:Vancouver, WA, Fattopia (USA)
Age: 45
Weight: 223 (yay-lost 2lbs. aggregate!)
Program: 1 week left of P90X Classic; heading into a hybrid of P90X+ and Les Mills Pump.
Start Date: June 19th
Goals: Although the scale is a filthy liar concerning my progress, I'm quite happy with the results I've achieved with my first round of P90X. I'm significantly stronger (with the attendant muscle gain), my clothes fit better, my endurance has grown, and I'm eating a lot healthier. Even so, during my next workout phase I plan to focus more on fat loss, which should be doable with further diet modification, the hybrid program, and some additional daytime calorie-burning. The journey continues!

I'll try to get Kevin to get his act together and post on here. I'm glad everyone's sticking around and I'll try my hardest to be more active on the boards than I have been lately.

OH! And today's Crouton's first birthday! Everyone send happy thoughts to the border collie who captured your heart the first round of pictures!

i like to see that it is achievable to go from 235 (where i'm at now) down to under 200 (the goal)...a weight i haven't been at since about 1988 - when i went back to school and stopped working out but kept eating [alot].

i've been on the yo-yo too. need to buckle down. have improved the eating - at least most of what i consume is on the michi-ladder. so that's good. i used to feel that i was working out so i could eat the snickers and reese's candy bars, etc. at least those have been exorcised! ;)

i was reading in mens health about a guy that dropped his weight from 450 down to 177 (looks damn good now). those that were part of the 'bellyoff' challenge that MH had - alot of them did become certified trainers. i guess when you do drop from 300+ to under 200lbs you do become quite an expert on fitness and all the challenges involved in that process.

btw, men's health is having a contest this summer - up in NYC, i believe. coach reddy, you should look into it! like the ultimate fitness challenge/bootcamp. 12 stations, 5 minutes of intense routines at each station. you'll use rope, the suspension bands, kettlebells, medicine balls, etc, the whole nine yards of fitness, apparently.

Name: Justine
Location: Mesa, Arizona
Age: 23 (turn 24 on June 24th)
Weight: 130 (last time I looked at the scale
Program: Finishing up my first round of p90x then taking a week off. Starting Asylum on June 25th!
Goals: My goal is to just live a healthier lifestyle and life to the fullest. I want to never be in the position where I am worried about my health due to choices I have made such as not exercising or constantly eating junk. They best way to avoid this is to make a concious decision to change your life and be healthy before it is even a concern and thats what I am doing. I graduated from college in December and realize that now having a grown up job makes me sit way more and be way less active. so I want to get in the routine of having a workout everyday and programs like this will keep me more accountable than just going to the gym on my own. I also want to tone up and it wouldn't hurt to look good in a bathing suit when you are out in the AZ sun everyday emoticon
