I know that during fast you have to drink freshly sqeezed if you drink juice. What are the rules when you start the program?

I will be starting South Beach next week on the 30th of August and would love to be part of a support group.
I do have one question about juice. I know that during the fast you are only supposed to drink freshly squeezed juice. What about during the diet? Can you buy regular apple juice like Motts, for instance, or do you still have to drink freshly squeezed? Or do you just have to dilute it? If anyone can let me know that would be great

fresh juice is best during the diet as well, you want to stay away from the additives in store bought juices (primarily sugar). though really, you're better off (during the diet) drinking water and eating fresh fruit. eating the fruit will give you fiber you can't get from the juice, plus it helps keep you satisfied longer.

you can ask on the nutrition boards if you want a fitness advisor to go into it further, but from what i've seen, that's pretty much the reasoning behind it. though there are companies that make 100% juice without all the additives, you just have to look a little harder to find them.

Does it Work?

Somewhat. It has plus, chondroitin, and acid hyaluronic which are substances that are needed by joint parts to maintain the best possible wellness but it does not have substances to address the swelling. Furthermore, it does not have CMO, a substance found in arthritis-resistant rats and Boron, a vital factor that reduces that chance of creating osteo osteoarthritis.
