Welcome to our thread! Nick (Hunk2b), Paul (Reptile), EddieDean and Kate (Katenator) are joining forces to support each other on our X journey. We start 6/12/06! We will be posting Day 1 pics and our stats over the next couple of days. After that we will be checking in with our food and exercise journals! Thanks to our good friend Dee for the name! emoticon

Ya know since this is my recovery week from the Masters, I have been doing some cardio and I have done TH's Ho' Ala Ka Kino DVD. I did TJ Cardio Party yesterday and now I'm sore! LOL! So I loved TH's DVD this AM. I got all my food ready for next week! So I'm excited to get started! I wish I would have opted for the power tower. I'm gonna ask Dh if I can buy it. I hate having to pause and go out of the room to do my pull ups.

You guys are going to ROCK this. I know you will love it. It's great. I am on day 10 right now and loving every minute of it. It's great. Tomorrow morning is Yoga for me and Jeremiah.....I am actually looking forward to it.

Wow thanks for all the support guys and gals! Make sure you come in at the end of next week when we are all sore and can't feel our limbs anymore! LOL! emoticon

Mel- I think I'm gonna be in Chicago 6/20-6/22. We'll have to try and hook up this time. I was gonna invite a couple of the single guys I work to go for a happy hour but I think they are too short for you! LOL! emoticon

hey there,
This may be the place I need to be. I need some serious encouragement and I think I'll get it here. I've been putting off starting P90X for a while now. I did slim in 6 with no problem, even adding running, swimming and biking, I ordered the P90X then, .... I got blind-sided when I discovered the secret lifestyle my husband had been leading for most of the 20 years of our marriage. Ouch. We tried for 9 months to "reconstruct", I kept up with the slim in 6 most of the time, I was trying to hang in there. Then I got blind-sided by that same truck again - he decided to go live with his last mistress, leaving me with the 3 kids, no career because we always moved for his job, and in a country that is not my own (I'm from Wisconsin). I wasn't holding on by much - the harassement because he wanted to come back, the refusal to divorce and so many weird details that any soap opera would seem uneventful in comparison finally lead to health problems, surgery etc.... this all pushed me over the edge. Virtually no exercise for 10 months now (I have fully recovered from the surgery so that's no excuse now). I need to get back in shape, it will help me with all the rest!!!!!

I did the fitnes test today and I was amazed (except for the pull-up)!!
pull-up: 1/2
vertical leap: 11 1/2 inches
pushups: 10 (manly style)
toe-touch: 9 1/2 inches
wall squat: 1min38
bicep curls: 10 with 8kg (17.6lbs)
in and outs: 35

I guess I passed the minimum .... I can start!!!
Yes!!! I was expecting to be in much worse shape than that. So here we go!

Okay, I'm really excited about starting the X. I'm also really excited about tomorrow. The World Cup starts!!!!! It only comes around every 4 years, so I've been waiting for this for awhile.

Alright...I think I am more motivated everyday that goes by because I know how much closer we are to day 1!!
