Hi!

My name is Daniela, I just turned 35 years and I am mother of three wonderful kids. After two rounds of Slim in 6, and a week of Keep it up, I feel ready for the challenge of doing Slim Series-Slim Training! I did my first workout today with Tone it up! It really kicked my butt! I feel those muscels working all over my body! I have a busy life with three kids, and I am still a bit scared, if I can stay through the whole program, because those workouts are really tough! If you are doing the same, then you can stop by here, and we can motivate each other. Hope to hear from you.

Hi again,

day two is over for me! emoticon Today was Shape it up! Wow, one of the 78 min. workouts! Despite of the length of this workout, I think time went by pretty fast. There was a lot of weight moves in this workout, which I really can feel! The leg exercices were almost killing me, but I think I did a good job for the first time.

Hope someone will join my thread soon.

Hi,

apparently nobody wants to join my thread so far? emoticon I know slim training is really hard. But I did go through those first three days much better than I thought! Today was Mix it up, which was fun to do. Lots of different moves with weights and resistence bands. I got a nice sweat and liked the workout.

Hopefully I will not be alone all throughout those 4 weeks. Even, If I am a very determined person, I could need some support from time to time. So come and join me, if you are doing the same. emoticon

Hi Yvonne,

thanks for stopping by. Now I feel not so lonely here anymore emoticon I have done 2 full rounds of Slim in 6 so far. I have lost about 8 lbs. with them. I know, that doesn´t sounds like a lot, but for me it is really great. I am 5.9 and my weight now is 139lbs. I´m not overweight, and my main focus was to get more toned, which I really can say I am! Of course I didn´t mind of loosing those lbs. emoticon
I´m just want to go a step higher with Slim Series. You are right, once you get used to do the workouts, then it´s okay. But it´s really hard to find a beginning. I think it´s best not to think about those long workouts. I read a lot of great reviews about Turbo Jam. Someday I would like to try that too.

Hope to hear from you again,

Daniela

Hi Daniela, I'll join you over here. I'm on my recovery week after a 4 week round of SS. I truly love these tapes. Right now I'm dabbling with Turbo Jam, but I'm missing my SS. I loaned my set out to my neighbor and her husband until they get their package. I hope they get here in the next couple days my recovery week is just about done and I'm having withdrawl, LOL
You and I have some things in a common and I think that would be could to push one another. I also have 3 children, Erica 11,Jody almost 9 and Blakely 5. I am 5'8" and right now my weight is at 144. I would love to get down to 138, but if I stay in the 140's and I'm toned without flab thats ok to emoticon. I will be 38 in a couple weeks. So see you are younger, taller and skinner, LOL.

Look forward to seeing you again.

I'll join you too. I'm the same age (35), quite a bit shorter (5'3) and am the mother of 1. I started SS yesterday without doing SI6 first. The workouts are tough and long but enjoyable in strange way. I did Shape it Up yesterday and Firm it Up today. I really need to lose weight and tone up. I'm hoping this will get me there. Good luck. I'll try to check in regularly.

I hear what your saying. I always say I have a "Love/hate relationship with these tapes" I grumbly through them, but love them when I'm done and can't wait to do another.

Hi Susan and christmom,

I´m so glad you have joined me here. emoticon
Susan, you have just done 4 weeks of Slim Series, that´s really great! I read a lot of great reviews about the new Turbo Jam. But before I´ll give this one a try, I will stick to Slim Series. I think we will get amazing results from those tapes. They are really tough, but in the end we will be so proud that we have done this!
Yesterday I needed to skip a workout, because two of my kids were getting sick with fever. I was up about 7 times last night, because always some of them needed my attention. So, I´m a little bit tired today, but I will try to do Firm it up later. Tomorrow I´m planning on doing Cool it off for recovery, and sunday will be my rest day.

So, hope to hear from you again. You guys have a great day! emoticon

Daniela, I must confess, I hardly use the Cool tape. Its just way to long for my taste. Every once in awhile I'll pull it out. I think my next round I'm going to use my YBB tape in place of that.
I hope your children are on the mend and that you are spared from the bug. How old are your children?

Good morning. Thanks for welcoming me. I'll keep coming back. I definitiely think these boards and the WOWY set BB apart from other infomercial programs. I know it's a marketing tool for BB, but also helps you not feel alone.

I forgot to check-in yesterday, but did Mix it Up. Again, another tough workout. This morning I did Tone it Up and added 30 minutes on the treadmill. It was a hard day for me, but I still feel great. Usually I exercise without eating anything. This morning I had a soy protein shake made with skim milk and some fat metabolizers (not the BB ones). I'm not sure if they work, but I bought them and know that I can tolerate them. I was definitely able to workout the full time without feeling completely wiped out. I recently bought a HR monitor. This is about the 3rd one I've bought. The last one had no chest strap so I had to use my finger. The chest strap one gives me an ongoing picture of how hard I'm working. I really think this will make all of my WOs more effective. I really saw how tough those lunge segments are. My heart rate has as high as when I was jogging at 5.4 mph on a slight incline. If you don't have one and can afford it I highly suggest it. As I get more fit, I hope to increase my speed on the treadmill but keep the same HR range.

I guess I'm going on and on. All I can say is that I am "enjoying" these workouts and really hope to see results. I don't see how I won't if I can keep my eating in control. Best of luck to everyone. Remember consistency is the key.

I'm doing cool it off tomorrow. I see that Osuzanneha says that it's too long. I'll try it though and let you know my experience.

Have a great rest of the weekend. I'll be back tomorrow after an early (4 am eastern) workout. I'm umdphd on the WOWY boards,

Ameritalia, I hope your kids are feeling better. I know how it can be. I only have one but am a single mom so I'm always on duty. My son is not sick but still wants to inform me when he wakes up and can't sleep. I've told him that unless he's sick or in pain not to bother me for that reason. He's 7 and should be able to manage this himself. I tell him he definitely won't go back to sleep if he's walking the halls. The night time interruptions make it harder to get up and workout early in the mornings when I have to workout.

I might also try Turbo Jam once I finish a round or 2 of SS. However, given how long it took to get SS, I probably should order it now.

Hi Susan,

you are right with the Cool it off tape. It is really very long. I did it yesterday, and I really felt great afterwards. On the other hand it´s way too long to do it after each of the Slim Series workouts! And I often think the stretch part in the end of the tapes are much too short. But to do cool it off in addition to a normal workout, would be just too much! Even doing Slim and Limber seems too long after a 78 min. workout. I don´t know what Debbie was thinking, when she put that tape together. She should have made two different versions. A 10 min. version, everyone could use after each workout, and the 60, min. version everyone could use once a week. I will try to mix in some of the Slim and Limber stretches at the end of each workout.
My kids are doing better so far. I have 5 year old boy and girl twins, and a 33 month old girl.

Talk to you more tomorrow,

Daniela

Good morning Daniela and Susan:

I just finished Cool it Off and 30 minutes on the treadmill. I feel really good. Cool it Off is definitely too long to do on the same days as other workouts but is worth it. It is a bit long, but I never spend time just relaxing as I'm always rushing to the next thing to do. This forces me to relax. Hopefully, I'll have the patience to keep doing it. Tomorrow I'l do tear it up. Hope you both have a great day.

Letica good for you on relaxing, plus sneaking in that 30min. on the treadmill.

I completed Shape it up today AHHHHH. I missed my SS! I really love these tapes. Not sure what I'm going to to with the Turbo Jam. I'm just not sure if maybe I didn't give it enough time. I'm going to try and work some of those tapes in during this round, but I don't want to burn myself out.

Hey girls! I just got SS. I have completed SI6, P90, PHH and Turbo Jam. I haven't started the SS yet... Going to Friday (that's the 1st day in my rotation because I take Thursdays off). I'm terrified!! I know Debbie's workouts are effective, but man, these seem so long, but I know they work, so that's why I'm doing them.

I'm 36, 2 boys ages 9 and 11. I started at over 200 lbs (size 18) and I'm down to 8/10. I was down to 6/8 with SI6, but had surgery this summer and although I didn't gain a lot back, I don't have the tone I had. TJ is fun, but I haven't seen the results like i did with Debbie.

You guys mind if I join you?

Charline, Welcome!! I just read your Bio and I have to comment on your journey. WOW!! you are remarkable! You look GREAT!! I would be honored to have you join us and be a buddy. I have to say getting used to the length of Debbies tapes takes some adjustment, but after doing them for awhile it just becomes routine. Really there are only two 78min. tapes and I want to say they go quickly, but I can't say that because I know I'm always watching that clock, sometimes I wish they just didn't put that on there. I think it would go faster then. We have two business's that I help run so I hear you on the finding time, but when I first got into working out my little guy was a baby and like you I knew the only way I could get a workout in was at 5:30am I got up every morning and jumped right into it. My DH really thought I was nuts, but I was deterimined to do it and I did.

Look forward to hearing what you think of SS.

Susan

Hi to all,

great that so many have joined the thread, and we all can encourage one another. emoticon Welcome Charline! Glad that you have joined us here. You have already completed so many of the beachbody programs. Congratulations on your awesome results so far!
Leticia: Good luck to you for doing tear it up. I was doing it last week for the first time, and wow, did I feel it afterwards! I was really sore for a few days!
Susan, I admire you for working out so early in the morning. I never could do that! I need to wake up, have breakfast and run around for a while until I am ready for doing a workout. I´m just like stiff after I wake up.

I did Tone it up today, which I really like! Tomorrow will be shape it up for me. I will mix in some of the Slim and Limber stretches at the end of each workout. I think the stretch part in each workout is way too short.

Talk to you all tomorrow. Have a great evening,

Daniela
