Hey Boys and Girls!!! Welcome to my thread-home!


I'd like to share my progress to date with you to show you just what is possible with BB programs and clean eating.

Since AUGUST 2007, I have done:

2 round of Slim in 6

2 round of P90X

2 round of P90X Plus

1 Rotation of Slim Series April 2008

I have also mixed HIP HOP ABS and TURBO JAM into my routines.

In March, I finished up my round of Chalean Extreme. I love that program!

I'm now back to P90X!

Hey Barbara,

Saw your pictures on the FitDocs thread today.
You have awesome results - CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I am on Week 6 - Day 1 of SlimN6 and my last weigh in on at the end of Week 3 was 6lbs lost and close to 9". Deliberately have not stepped on the scale since so I am really anxious to do so. This is actually my 2nd attempt. Total losses since June 07 is 9lbs & >20". Still have 20# to go before I get to my weight goal.

Ordered SS Express so I will be continuing with Debbie for a bit.

Love the infomercials for P90X but don't think -rather - I know I am not up to that yet.

Way to go on becoming a Coach!

I highly recommend doing Slim in 6 if you are trying to lose weight. P90X is definitely more hard core and not "specifically" geared for weight loss. You can always do P90X afterwards!!

Thanks again for stopping in! you can do this!! And you don't HAVE to weigh yourself. You can go by how you feel and look!

Barbara33: Hey, sorry about that Debbie. I was excited about your surprise visit that I burned the hors-d'oeuvres. Agh, they were a little high in calories anyway. Today is my day off, so I thought I could splurge a little. But, who needs that stuff anyway.

WHERE WERE WE?

Debbie: I was asking you what your favorite Slim in 6 DVD moments were.

Barbara: Oh, yes. I actually have a lot of favorite moments, believe it or not. A lot of people say your DVD gets to feel monotonous, but that was not my experience at all. Well, not after two weeks. The longer I did it, the more I liked it. After six weeks, I STILL wasn't able to do the leglifts without a few seconds rest here and there!

But, anyway, my favorite moments:

I love doing the horse stance and punching the imaginary boxing bag from under. I love your energy during that exercise and try to put myself in your shoes. Let me demonstrate.

Hi Barbara,

You are too funny. I've only had a couple visitors on my new thread as well. So feel free to stop by and say hi to me there. emoticon

I am starting Slim in 6 officially Monday, but I had a sneak peek at Debbie today. I did Start it Up! Slim & 6-pack and Slim & Limber... ok, ok, it was more than a peek. emoticon I've done several of beachbody's programs... HHA, TJ, YBB, P90, P90 masters ... but I have decided to do a tour of the various programs with graduation being p90x. I see that a p90x+ program is in the works so I may have to get my masters as well! emoticon I have about 30 lbs. to lose and figure I can get that off before I tackle the X.

Way to go on your Slim in 6 transformation! Those are some awesome results and great job with taking on the X.

Ok, I'm going to take off for now but I promise if you visit me I'll visit you!

You got that spacious, industrial chic thing going on. Julius keeps licking me. He must smell the Alpo in my pocket. It is a housewarming gift for your boys.
Barb, Did you know that stuff is actually pretty good for you? Yeah. I know it's a little stinky, but the taste grows on you! Look at the can:

Sorry I had to rush off last night, but I had to get that sleep in so that I could say "I BROUGHT IT THIS MORNING ON DAY 32 WITH DEBBIE!! YEAH!!" This my last week and I am so pumped!

yes i would like to see what your diet looked like!! and thanks for the comments on my babies and yes nicki is pretty ripped up in that picture! that was last summer, both horses pretty much had this summer off (LIFE got in the way!!) but that will change

Barbara33's SLIM IN 6 DIET

I kept my daily caloric intake anywhere from 1300 to 1400 Calories. On my day off, my "REST DAY", I allowed myself to eat pretty much what I wanted. But, WORD OF CAUTION!!! : I ALWAYS discovered that stuffing my face always made me feel like crap the following day, so I rarely do it now. I now enjoy A TREAT or TWO on my days off.

ALSO, PLEASE NOTE: On days that I felt particularly tired or hungry, I ate a little more carbs. I would have a slice of bread for breakfast and a slice or two for lunch.

PRE WORKOUT
--WATER

BREAKFAST: around 7 or 8 am
--Protein (5 egg whites, cup low fat cottage cheese, protein shake)
-- 1/2 cup soy milk (vanilla, lowfat)
-- 1 fruit (1/2 banana, or 1 nectarine, or 1 plum)

SNACK: around 10 or 11 am
--protein powder and soy milk (1/2 glass)
--fruit if I was tired

or
--cottage cheese 1/2 cup or a cup.
--fruit

LUNCH: around 12 or 1pm
--protein (tofu, chicken, egg whites, fish)
--SALAD (spring mix, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc)
--AND, yes, AND vegetable (snow peas, string beans, eggplant)

SNACK: around 4 or 5 pm
--whey protein and soy milk with a fruit if I'm tired

OR
--protein (cottage cheese or phoney soy cheese) and a fruit.

DINNER: 7pm. NO later than that because I'm in bed by 10, sometimes 9.
--protein (chicken, fish, tofu, egg whites)
--salad
--AND, yes, AND vegetable that I cook.

WATER THROUGHOUT THE DAY

MULTI VITAMIN EVERY DAY

NOW That I'm on P90X, I have added 500 or 600 more calories by 1. having a recovery drink (220 calories) and two slices of bread with breakfast (160 calories) and maybe an extra fruit (100) or a replacement bar (250 calories). It's actually hard to eat enough!

I NEVER, EVER, EVER go HUNGRY!!

HOWEVER, I find that it's particularly challenging to eat really well a week before my period.

Okay, it's 8pm, I'm gonna do some more writing on my article. Back to the 18th century!!

Hey Barb! I'm happy to see that my diet is along the same lines of yours! I've noticed that for both snacks you do protein drinks. Do you use different powders? Or did you just write it different?

It also looks like you were on the lower end of carbs. Did you, by chance, know the % of carbs, protein, and fat that you did?

Gotta go and get ready for church. Today is my well-deserved day off!
