Hello and welcome. I am going to take a minute to introduce myself to those of you who haven't made my acquaintance in passing on the other threads. My name is Crystal, I'm 24 and a mother of 2 (son, age 5 and daughter age 3). I am a full time student and work as well. I keep very busy cooking, baking, arts and crafts, photography, working out, sports, music, etc. I have been doing SI6 since March 1 and have lost 39 lbs. and 34 inches so far. That is a great accomplishment. I'm 5'8" tall and when I started I weighed in at 232lbs. an all time highest for me. Had to do something so I ordered SI6. It has been a great and extremely fun journey. I'm at 193 and my goal for now is 165. I have Beach Body and SI6 to thank for helping me finally get back into shape. The message boards are the best place to come for support and motivation so that's why I spend most of my free time in here. You will see me quite often. Well, I guess that's it on me.

Take care and have a safe and fun Labor Day weekend.

Hi Crystal,
Found it!! We'll be alright as long as they don't start calling us the three stooges LOL.
Anyway this is Karen and I am a 46 year old, mother of 4 and grandmother of 4. I also own, am editor and publisher of The Fisher Reporter in Fisher, IL; a weekly small town newspaper. I started si6 on March 29th 2004 at 186.5 pounds and in a ladies size 16. Since then I have lost 26 pounds and 32 inches!!! I have gone from a size 16 to -- yes CJ I bought my first pair of size 8 jeans yesterday and THEY FIT!!!! Actually surprised me, I figured they would be too tight in the waist for a little while at least but no!! Shoot back in my younger days I wore a size 12 and only weighed around 140 so throw those scales away!!! With Debbie you can weigh 160 and wear a size 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KPP everybody it works!!!
Karen
P.S. I already told my hubby that he has to take some pics today because I haven't taken any since I finished my 6 wks and was in a size 12. So hopefully tomorrow I will post one on here.

Well, take care all and have a great weekend.

Hi Karen, this thread is much shorter!! I PP this morning!!! First day, wow! what a workout. I am really excited though and felt good for doing the fasting as long as I did. Sat..4:15 am until Sun. 5:15pm. 37 hours. so I exercised first thing this am. before eating. Since I ate last night. Anyway,I feel sore, a little. I watched the other tapes and did see the times of those. I also saw your other post w/the times thanks, I don't think I'll be able to do them before work either. I'll probably wait and do them after work, but before dinner. I did do the Slim & Limber about 2hrs. after the SIU. I felt better, not as sore. If I read correctly I should do that tape on my day off and can also do it everyday? I don't think I can do the 6/pack abs. though, I think those muscles are lost, have been lost for a loooooong time. LOL! Congats!!! to you a size 8!! that is awesome!! I'm just hoping to fit into my jeans before it gets to cool. Nothing fits me. I gave all of it away when I lost my weight on WW. I said I'll never let myself get to that size again! YEAH!! Well i refuse to buy a pair of jeans. The picnic yesterday, I was the only female with shorts on! As the evening went on, the hostess brought me a blanket to wrap around my legs. She was so sweet, earlier she offered me a pair of sweats, I knew I couldn't fit into hers, and I wasn't going to wear her Hubby's pants!!

Crystal, Hi to you, I've read allot of your posts also. I also am a waitress. I posted on your web page last week. Actually your story and pics inspired me. Then I found the the thread with mostly Karen and you and saw the awesome friendship you've developed and jumped in there to. I haven't posted on Michele's, but have also read allot of her posts and saw the cry for help to her. I don't know you three can keep up with so many threads and still work on yourselves. I hope I can some day. But for know, I get overwhelmed, I am not a comp. wizard at all. I get lost very easy. This is the first time I've ever did anything like this. I've only had a comp. for 2 years. I've always had a phobia about them. Anyway, I'm done babbling for now. and if this thread is for just questions let me know please. I don't want to do anything wrong! I do have a question though. LOL Do either of you take any of the suppliments? While watching the RIU and BIU today, suppliments were mentioned. It said those that used them lost 30% more weight. Thats what I want!! When I ordered I did get the slimming formula tablets and I remember her asking me about the vitamins, I said I already take vitamins. Are BB's better? What about the preformance tablets? OMG I sound like I've been suckered in! Whta do you think about the suppliments?? Have a great day, Stay Strong, Barbara

Hi Barbara,
I had taken a Pyruvate supplement for almost a year before I started si6. I found that it gave me sooo much energy and I felt so much better when taking it, I never lost any weight but felt so much better I didn't care. It is basically the same as what they sell on here except that it didn't have the green T in it so I also take green tea tabs everyday. Also make sure that you are taking a multi-vitamin. You'll find that even for the non computer nuts these boards are addictive!!LOL You will also meet people and make friends from all over the continent (not just the USA), lots of Canadians too!! I come into the office on weekends just to stay in touch with everybody. This thread isn't just for questions but for friendship, motivation, even hugs and prayers when needed!! I saw the other day that the three of us were just kind of following each other on the same threads offering pretty much the same advice, so this way when one of us is extra busy the other two can cover and this thread shouldn't ever go a day without at least one of us checking it. So everyone come on in. The more the merrier and if you are a little bit nutty and love to laugh and tease--even better!!! Still haven't got those pictures taken but at least I remembered to take my camera and put it in the jeep today!!. Hey CJ I'll have to have the dh take one of me and Apache in front of my Jeep!!!

Hey Everyone!! I finally made it!Yesterday was the day from H E double hocky sticks!! We had to move my hubbys grandparents. Some thing we thought would take a couple hours took all day. Long story short the house wasn't packed and it was the most unorganized move in the history of moves!! So much for having a rest day!!

Here's my story...I am 32 and a SAHM of an independent two year old named Megan. I 've been married to the love of my life, Richard, for 3 1/2 years! It's my first and last marriage (knock on wood). We met...he proposed...we got married...all in three months!!

I was never fat until I got pregnant. Weighed 180 at the end and gained 50 more pounds breastfeeding for one year. So, my big fat total was 235.

I worked out 4-6 days a week at a gym...two hours each time and only lost 35 pounds in one year. Since starting SI6 on April 19, 2004 I have lost 26 pounds and 32 inches (same as Karen)!! SI6 has changed my life. Now, that I am getting my figure back...I'm not depressed, I smile much more, my skin is clearer...I am finding the old me under all that fat!! I am currently at 170...my goal is 140, but I really want to be a 125, but one goal at a time!!

I've gotta go. Megan just woke from her nap!!

HELLO MY FRIENDS!!!! How the heck are ya today? Well, as you can tell I'm in a superb mood. I am so happy! I have a new goal to work toward. I finally found a cute/sexy red bikini (string bottom) that I want to look great in. I did this same thing with a pair of leather pants that I bought on clearance. I was a size 18/20 when I bought them and they were a size 14. Well, they are slowly getting a little loose on me, but that's okay. I can still wear them and it feels great. So, I'm doing the same thing with the bikini. I want to be able to look great in it this coming June when we go on vacation. I have plenty of time, but I don't want to just lose the weight, I want to lose all the flab that will be left behind. I will definitely have a picture taken in it here as soon as possible so that I will have something to compare it with when I look absolutely smashing in it. It fits, but it's still a little snug so I'm still a work in progress, but I have to say I've come a long way because it's a large from the juniors section...lol.

Anyway, Barbara - Welcome. As Karen noted earlier, this thread isn't just for questions it's here to help build friendships and to have fun with the program. If you find yourself slipping with the program, then come in here and we'll get you right back on track. The only thing that I really wish I could do, is to meet both Michelle and Karen in person. I feel like I already know them so well, but it would be great to see each other in person. I hope that will happen one day, as well as meet others that I have had to opportunity to chat with. Everyone is great here, and I don't know what I would do without the message boards and all the wonderful people. I sort of take supplements, but not from BB. I am trying out one that's called Ultra Beta Trim. I haven't seen much of a difference with it, so when I'm finished with the bottle I think I'm going to either try something different or go back to using the Total Lean line of products from GNC.

Well, Michelle, you finally found us. Glad to have you.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Take care and KPP!

Hi
My name is Karla and my husband and I just beginning week 5 of Sin6. I have been following Michelle's motivation thread and saw where you were starting a new thread. But tonight is the first time I have tried to post. My husband is having great success with the program. I am enjoying the work and can tell my fitness level is improving. I am just not seeing huge results so far. Decided it was time to contribute my 2 cents worth and say thanks for the great examples.

Hi Karla. Men seem to lose weight faster than we do...unfortunately, but they don't have to go through the physical changes as we do either. Sorry to say, but men just have it easier in some contexts...lol. Great to have you here. Just be patient with it though. Most people don't see much results until in the last 2 weeks, so just keep pushing play and see what the end of the 6 weeks brings you to. Okay? Just hang in there.

Take care and KPP!

Hi Carla,
Are you going by what the scale says or by measuring. The scale really doesn't tell the story here, but that tape measurer may become your best friend!!! Drink lots of H20, eat right and PP.

Barbara...Welcome to our thread!! Glad to read your post and I am looking forward to getting to know you better. Some days I have more time to post than others, but I always check in no matter what!!

Crystal...Can't wait to see you in that sexy red bikini!! You'll be looking' smokin' in it in no time!! I've bought 3 smaller ones...hopefully the smallest one will fit before the year is over!!

Karla...I can't believe you have been following my thread and never posted! What am I going to do with you??

Well, congrats on getting to week 5 and that is so great that you and your hubby are doing it together.

Most people see results in weeks 5 and 6 so push yourself, eat right and drink that water and you will see results!! I hope you took before pics so you'll be able to really see the results your brain is blocking!! We are our own worst critics!! Has your hubby said that he can see a change in you??

Are you eating enough calories?? Not eating 3 hours before bed?? Drinking lots and lots of water?? Let me know!! I am always glad to help and if I don't know I'm sure Karen or Crystal will know.

HI, Im new to SI6. I just ordered this Sept.3rd, the day after my 38th birthday. I've been wanting to join LA Weight Loss or something but with winter coming here in upstate NY, I fear I wouldn't be able to get to all the meetings due to weather. I do need to lose about 75 lbs. I was at 221 Sept. 1st and been watching what I eat and walking 2 miles a day since the 1st and waiting for my stuff to come. I can't wait to start. I keep watching the email to see if its been shipped yet.
I do have a question. How do you find answers to my letters that I write? I need to keep track of where I wrote them? I would love to have you THREE MUSKETEERS to help coach me and be accountable to. My email is mypostol@earthlink.net if you need or want to reach me that way. Thanks for all your inspiration.

Hi, Okay, I think I'm a wuss! I am so sore! I have been reading threads for the past week and some have said they were sore. But I mean really sore! Is that normal?? I walk up and down steps like a memmy. And oh my, sitting down is quite a site. And if anyone saw me getting in and out of my F250 truck! I am laughing now as I'm typing, but really I hurt!

I did SIU again this morning, before work, 3:45am. and I am going to do slim&limber as soon as I am finished here. Hoping I will feel better, well just a little would be nice! I know by tomorrow I should be starting RIU, but I don't think I'm ready for that yet. So I think I'll wait another day or two. That won't make a big difference will it?

Karen: Thanks for the info. on the supplements. I do take a multi-vitamin now.

Crystal: A red bikini!! How cool, You go girl!!!

Karla: Hi, that is really neat that you and your hubby are doing this together. Were you sore in the beginning?

Michelle: I love your story, how romantic!!

Well I'm off to do slim & limber, have a good evening all. Stay Strong & KPP, Barbara

Lonnie...Each post you make should highlight the topic you clicked on. The ones you look at will be red while the others are black. If you can't find them on page one then click on page 2 or 3 or 4 and look on them. Hopefully, this thread will be on page one every day!! With three of us checking it daily...we should positively be one page one.

Anyway, congrats on the two miles a day and eating right!! That is soooo great! You are going to do a super job with SI6 once it finally gets to your door! Be patient...it will come!

I would say that you don't need to join any eating group like LA Weight Loss or Weight Watchers. SI6 will provide you with every thing you need. Look for Michi's Ladder in you package when you get it and make it your new best friend!!

The only other suggestions I have is drink 100oz of water a day...I know it sounds like a lot, but water is a major key in any weight loss journey!! And another big one is to not eat three hours before bed!! You want your body to be a fat burning machine at night. If you have food in your stomach then it will burn the carbs in your tummy instead of fat!! If you get hungry at night just try to push through the cravings and hunger pains and soon you will have retrained your body not to eat at night!! Another big one is not to eat less than 1200 calories a day!! Your body needs fuel so eat up on those fresh veggies and fruit!! Try to stick to grilled chicken or turkey.

Good luck to you and I am sure that Karen and Crystal will also have some great advice for you!! Let us know if you need help with any thing else!!

OMG! What a day! I am just now getting settled in so needless to say, I missed my workout this evening emoticon I'm going to be grumpy tomorrow if I don't get to workout in the morning. LOL. Yes, everyone, I get really cranky if I don't get to work out. It's my drug...my addiction. Seriously! It's raining, so unless I can get some serious lighting in my house, the bikini pics will have to wait. Darn! That's ok though.

Welcome Lonnie! Hope to see you around quite often. Let us know when you get your package and get ready to get started. Like Michelle said, hopefully (most likely) this thread should always be on page one. Michelle also seemed to answer your questions very well, and since I'm tired and need a stiff drink due to work, I'm going to remain silent on this one.

Michelle, dear. What is your weight? 100oz of water? Well, ok...I'll admit I drink about 96-9emoticonz. a day, so that's fine. The best way to determine how much water you need is to divide your body weight in half and the number you get is how many ounces of water you should be drinking each day. You'd be amazed at how well it works. For instance I weigh 193...divided by 2 is 96.5, but I drink 3 1 litre bottles (33.3 oz. each) each day and that comes to 99.9 oz. Okay, so I was off a bit! LOL

Barbara - the soreness will go away. Some people are more sore than others, but just make sure you do the Limber after your workouts every day. Never try to do it before you warm up your muscles (the same with the Slim and 6 Pack). Stretching cold muscles is a good way to tear/injure them. Just keep going, you're doing fine. If you happend to go by my thread and look for the picture of me with my big ready Chevy...you thought getting into your Ford was bad...ouch! So, I was probably about as sore as you are now.

Well, everyone, I'm so tired so I'll catch up tomorrow. Take care and KPP!
Crystal

P.S. Karen, give my baby Apache a kiss and hug for me.

Hello everyone!

I am anxious to start my Slim in Six program. It seemed like it took forever to get here. Actually, it was only 10 days. I received the package in the mail a short 2 hours before my husband and I were mandatorily evacuated from our beachside home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. I wanted to start the program as soon as I got it but hurricane Frances had other plans for me! I am now back home and I have power again and have reviewed the videos. I could use some advice on when I should start (I would like my free day to be on the weekend). Do you recommend doing the "fast start" or the fast. I don't have a clue. I have about 40 pounds to lose. The last time I weighed myself I was 174 pounds. I am 5'4". I think that I gained most of this extra weight due to a hysterectomy. That was about eight years ago, and I am now post menopausal. Forgot to mention that I celebrated my 50th birthday this past February. I hope to get to know you all better as I go through this. Sorry if this post seems a little scattered, I'm still trying to get back to a normal routine after this, our second hurricane in less than a month. I'm purposely not watching the reports about IVAN! Seems like I gain weight when I'm stressed, maybe I should have waited to start Slim in Six until after hurricane season! Just kidding, I really am ready to do this. Everything that I have seen and read about this seems so positive. I'm ready to enjoy the same success as everyone, and I'm ready to do the work to get there.

Crystal...I am at 170, but I started out at 235 so I am use to drinking lots of water. Usually, I don't drink any thing else.

Hope you got to push play this morning!! I am up early today and getting ready to push play...going to try to get in two workouts today to make up for missing on Monday since I am already going to have to add a week to make up for last week.

I'm with you!! I hate missing my workouts. Don't really like working out, but I love how it makes me feel!! Gives me energy to make it through my life!!

Darlene...Welcome to our group!!Stick with us and we will get you through the next six weeks the best we can!!

I did not do the fast start or a fast and I still got great results. Go to my home page to see my results and pics. It is www.mybeachbody.com/mhoward . Sorry I couldn't help you more with that, but I just felt like I would fail at the fast and didn't want to start on a bad note. Hopefully, Karen and Crystal will be able to help you more with this!!

I'll put you on my list of prayers...so you will make it through the hurricanes safely!! Hopefully, you will make it through hurricane season without gaining any more weight!! That would be a great goal for you!!

If you start your workouts on Monday then Sunday would be your day off. It really just depends on what day you want to have off. I think most people take Sunday as their day off, but it doesn't really matter!!

Let us know if you need any thing! We are here for you no matter what it is and I am looking forward to getting to know you!!

CJ, Karen, and Michelle,
I think it is fantastic the way you motivate and help with the SI6 experience. I am already on other threads and don't like to overextend myself by trying to remember everyones names. I just finished SI6 and now working out a plan to maintain my results. No weight loss (which I didn't want to lose) but I lost 10 inches all over and my clothes are fitting a lot better. It has been a long 3 years for me dieting to get the weight off and then starting to exercise to tone and sculpt this old body.

Keep up the GOOD WORK GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!
