September 24, 2012 is the official restart. I will be doing P90X and drinking Shakeology. Paul will be hitting TapouTXT. We are going to keep accountable to each other and we are going to rock our workouts and get results.

Come join us in this journey and we can all be accountable together. It doesn't matter what workout you are doing. Let us all BRING IT!

And let me just add that this new start is going to be a "new start." I have let things go for too long and have since put weight back on...too much. It is now time for NO EXCUSES. Time to control and do what I know needs to be done. Remember the date...September 24, 2012. It is the first day back on the road to a healthier life!

Feel free to scan through past journeys but if you want to jump to the first thread of the new start click the link.

I started this thread a little late in my current P90 adventure, but I did it all the same hoping to be encouraged and to spread some encouragement to anyone that needs it. I am 26, married and have two little kids(daughter 3, son 2). This is my 3rd attempt at P90. My first one took me to Day 60 and then my son came. A couple of days not Pushing Play seemed to make it easier for me to fall back in to my bad habits. The following year around January I weighed my heaviest ever and decided to start P90 again. I lost 50 pounds in 60 days. The I went on vacation, didn't workout at all and by the time I got home, well, I never started again.

Fast forward now to the present. I put the weight back on...Again. So here I am, pushing play, working hard, and sweating with Tony, the kids, and well, my kids. They seem to enjoy working out with me.

Anyways, I am actually on Day 35 today as I start this post. Here are my Day 1 and Day 30 stats:

Day 1/Day30

Weight: 265lbs/244lbs
Chest: 49"/47.5"
Waist: 46"/42.75"
Hips: 44"/42.25"
Left Thigh: 28"/27.75"
Right Thigh: 29"/27.5"
Left Bicep: 16"/16"
Right Bicep: 16"/16.25"

I will be attmpting my first pic posting on these here boards. I hope it goes well....

Hey Ed! You can do it! The most important thing is to not give up! If you miss a day or mess up one day on your food, just come on the boards for some encouragement and get back at it! emoticon

Day 36 Sculpt 3/4

I had a great workout. I have been trying to add an additional pushup to each set everytime I PP to Sculpt. My arms feel stronger, after they feel like jelly for the first 20 minutes. Lunge/Squat 5 is a killer but I made it through the whole thing. I took an extra minute to stretch afterwards. Oh well...

Kate - Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the encouragement. I think the main reason I was unsuccessful the first 2 times was because I did not utilize the message boards at all. Now that I feel like I am really part of the Beachbody family, I feel more motivated and I do not want to let myself slip. Plus, I am on Day 37 today!! I cannot stop now.

I attempted to post some pics last night but my computer was too slow (dial-up) so I am going to burn the pics to CD and head to a friends house to get them posted.

Ed,

Thanks for stopping by my boards. You're having exception results! I was wondering how your diet is? You lost 21 pounds in 30 days, that is simply incredible! Plus the inches are coming off like crazy too! emoticon

Keep rockin' it. Let me know about your diet if you get a chance. I'd really like to accelerate my results and it seems like you're going strong!

Best always,
Mike

BTW, I'm coming out to Pittsburgh in August to take classes at the University of Pittsburgh: College of Business Administration!!

Day 37 Sweat 3/4 Abs 200

I really love Power Yoga. It is so much easier now and I don't have to put my knees on the ground, like the Cobra position, when in the Upward Dog pose. The only time I really needed to slow down was after Rd3 Jacks. I ran in place a little slower to catch my breath and then kicked it in to overdrive again Run Lunge and the X Work. My kicks are getting cleaner too...2nd round kicks...because my legs aren't feeling like lead pipes. I managed to hit 193 on the crunches as well. My legs did not want to keep going during the Hip Rock. Other than that, the work out was amazing.

I used to not look forward to Sweat 3/4 and now I can not wait to work out to it. And I can focus on Tony and his little jokes more since I am not having to focus on catching my breath constantly.

Kris - Thanks for stopping by. You have done an amazing job as well. Those pictures are incredible. There are some amazing changes happening with you. KPP and great job!!

Paul - Thanks for checking up on me. I have to keep myself accountable here and knowing you guys are out there will help me do just that.

Mike - Thanks, i appreciate you stopping by. Let's see...my diet. I try to keep it in the range of 1200-1500 calories per day. It just depends on what my body is telling me. I drink primarily water, except if I make a protein shake at which point I use nonfat milk. I actually drink around 100 ounces of water a day. I eat a lot of fruits and veggies. Breakfast usually consists of Oatmeal or Egg Whites/Egg White Burritos w/ salsa. I stay away from junk food. I have 2 kids and we only have a couple "junk food" items for them. They are 3 and 2. Trying to get them to appreciate healthy food. I eat chicken and salads like they are going out of style, turkey breast, and low cal wheat bread (35 per slice). And I stay away from the Iceberg lettuce. I eat Leafy greens like romaine, red lettuce, baby spinach, etc. Salad dressings, I primarily use Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar. I also take a multivitamin every day. That is basically it. I also use recipes from the beachbody recipe page. Oddly enough, I work for UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) which is in Oakland. I drive past Pitt everyday on my to work. Maybe we could get together for lunch sometime when you are in town. I think it would be great to meet another Beachbody person in person. I may even make it to one of Tony's fitness camps someday.

Sculpt 3/4 is today, which is Day 38. YAY!! Almost half done. KPP everyone!!

Day 38...Sculpt 3/4

Incredible workout again. I love to hate the Squats though. Actually that last statement really applies to Lunge/Squat 5. I really feel it in the legs. I used to have problems doing that many squats because of knee issues, but it seems to be getting easier now that I am building more strength around the knees.

It is finally getting warm here in Western PA. I am thinking it is time to go out and get a new tennis racket. Maybe I can talk my wife in to going out and playing. Also, we are going to be taking the kids for walks now that is warming up. I love this time of year. I get so tired of being stuck inside.

Anyways, it is actually Day 39 today and I have a Sweat workout coming up today. Once again, I cannot wait to "feel the burn" in the calves during fast feet.

Adios,

Ed

Ed,

Thanks for the advice on your diet. Actually, I consume mostly the same things as you. Salads and chicken are my favorite things.

I'll be staying in Lothrop dorm, which is connected to the medical center! We'll have to meet up when I come out and get settled come maybe Mid-September!

Thanks! Keep up your amazing work!

Eddie,

Reading through your thread just really reminded me that I'm not alone... I love to hate the squats too! That's usually the point that the endorphins really kick in for me and I start flying... AND I thought something was wrong with me when I first switched to 3/4 and my calves burned like they did during fast feet - it's not as bad now...

KPP

Day 39..Sweat 3/4

Not my best workout. I think because I took my Rest Day last Thursday because I was sick, my body thought I was supposed to take it easy. So I worked out to the best of my ability for that given day. I am planning on my Rest Day on Sunday so a couple more days and I can give myself a much needed break. As far as the workout, I would say I worked out at about 80% of my ability. But the important thing is I pushed play, worked hard, and sweated quite a bit.

Kate - One thing I really enjoy working out to on my Rest Day is Ho Ala Ke Kino. It is helping me become more flexible plus it has some light Cardio so I am burning some calories but not pushing myself too much on my Rest Days. Also, the Power Yoga in it is great!!

Mike - I am sorry I could not give you more insight into the dieting. I pretty much just make sure the calories are low. Unless my body tells me otherwise. My recommendation is to try to stay in the top 2 to 3 tiers of Michi's ladder and you should be good to go. KPP and working hard.

Kris - Hey, good to see ya!! I think after a couple more weeks of level 3/4 it will all come together a little more for me. Thanks for the support!! KPP

Chris - How goes it bud? Thanks for stopping by my thread here. And thanks for the kind words!! I am just working hard. I see you are halfway through. Great job. And yes, I am not sure what I need to do to get these pics posted in the thread. I have tried a couple times and have gotten messages saying that they weren't added from the admins.

So to anyone out there...if you can give me some insight as to what you do to get those side by sides posted in your pic threads, please let me know. I could start a photo album but I really want to get these pics posted in here.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and being so supportive!!
