Can anyone tell me approximately how many calories people burn by doing SI6 (SIU,RIU & BIU or P90? Does it depend on your weight/height?

Greatly appreciate any feedback!

Thanks,
Dena

I keep seeing the initials RIU and BIU. What programs are these?

I tried the link to FAQ above, but it seems to be a dead link. Will you refresh it, please?

I have a question on calories burned. Everytime I post something on the message board I don't get any respones, so I really hope I get my question answered or at least responed to. I've done several rounds of P90X, P90X+, P90X/P90X+ Hybrid, Insanity, and I have just completed a round of the P90X/Insanity Hybrid. For the longest time my calorie burn stayed pretty consistent, but over the last couple of weeks I've notice a trend that I don't understand. I guess I could attribute it to my over all conditioning getting better or something, because even though I still feel like I am getting a good workout in, my heart rate isn't reaching the average heart rate that I was getting a month ago or even peeking at what I was peeking a month ago. My recover time seems to be a lot faster as well. Could the fact that it's getting colder out and my house isn't as warm on the inside contribute to this trend. My body doesn't seem to be working as hard to cool it's self since it't cooler, or is it something else. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, my intensity is at the same level it has always been and even more so on certain excersies.

I also want to mention that I am in better shape now then I have ever been before. I went from being 283 lbs to 189 lbs, so I understand that my calor burn now will be less then what my calor burn would have need when I first started using these products.

Please Advise.

Thanks,
Zane

Zane,

Your resting heart rate has improved because your body is getting better conditioned. It takes more to get a workout for you.

I'd recommend doing something you haven't done before like Aslyum, Aslyum 2, or P90X2.

Thanks for getting back to me. I do plan on starting Insanity: Asylum vol. 1 on Jan. 1st. I am in the best shape that I have ever been in, and my body shows it. I do need to progress and get something new, so that's why I am planning on doing Asylum. With all the holidays stuffed into a month I am still doing my workouts, but doing my own thing and scheduling my favorite workouts until the end of the year and then hit it hard again Jan. 1st. I still have a few more goals that I want to meet, so hopefully I can acomplish what I'm going after.

Thanks,
Zane

I agree with CoachEd! As you get more fit and your stamina and endurance increases you will have to work/push harder to get the same or higher calorie burn than before. Same for your heart rate. The more fit you are, the lower your resting heart rate will be and the harder you will have to work to get your heart rate into the zones that you were working out before. Thats a good thing. Yes it means that you might not be burning as many calories as you were before but its a great feeling to know that your cardiovascular level has dramatically increased. Good job!!

Thank you for all the feed back. I am very happy with the results and my strength/endurance has increased a great deal. My resting heart is 56 bpm and my zone is "130 bpm to 170 bpm." I'm going to decrease my zone by 5 bpm to "125 bpm to 165 bpm." I plan to continue to press play everyday and work hard to get my heart rate up. When I start Asylum Jan. 1st I am sure that my heart rate will again go through the roof.

Thanks again,
Zane

I have another question, I was wondering what kinda of calorie burn does other people get when the do P90X and Insanity? I average between 700 and 800 calories burned when I do my P90X workouts and I average between 1100 and 1200 calories burned when I do my Insanity workouts.

Thanks,
Zane
