Hi ladies! After being in a solid male/female team for our first round of P90X a few of us decided that in addition to that team, Go KCPer's, we needed a forum for just the gals. There were times when we wanted to discuss difficulties training when we were in the midst of PMS, or more, but were not comfotable talking about it because of our male team mates, so Girls with Guts was born! Please join us, we don't care what stage of P90X you are in, we can build a sisterhood of women dedicated to living our lives in great shape!

I'd love to jump in! I'm on week 2, day 3 of classic - this is my first time through, although I have done TJ, SI6 and SS in the past. I think this thread is a great idea, and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Good point, lol! We are going to have a great team! I am so glad we have already got people jumping in! Lastchild and I are on a team that will be at day 90 at the end of this week. So we figured what better time to get the women united and show the men what we are made of! We are going to use next week as a breather and of course do work-outs, I am going to hit a ton of cardio and then MOn. Sept. 10 we begin the journey again. i am finishing classic and have not made a decision on round 2, I am leaning toward doubles though.

Welcome all to all of the ladies who are brininging it everyday!

I'm sooo in! Today is Day 1 of Week 2 and I am soooo impressed! Have lost 2.9# and 3.5" this first week. Being 53 years young and into eating well, natural lifestyle and being physical, this mid-life goooo stage has made me nuts! Have about 15# to loose and major tightening EVERYWHERE! lol I love this!

Also, very impressed that I have not been horribly sore, despite the fact that I have really pushed myself each day. Will admit that KenpoX did a number on my knees (don't have a patella in the right) so am resting them today.

Got my pull up bar up and back at it tomorrow. Let's kick ass! bodhi ~ linda

Welcome horsechick and wildwings! THis is going to be good for all of us! Being able to talk girl talk about P90X will be great. Like the fact that my day 90 falls smack dab on what should be my bloat day bites!My hormones will be raging and I will not put a bikini on for anything! Felt good to say that without syaing, sorry guys! Have a good work out everyone! This is the last week for my first round of P90X but I am changing up some of the "recovery" like tomorrow my 10 year old and I are doing a 12 mile bike ride instead of core, well I might do core later, but we are strapping on my hrm and seeing how many calories I can burn on this little jaunt with her. She is starting to see my changes and she has decided she wants to be like Mom, pretty cool huh? I so want to set a good example for my children, and seeing as she has struggled with weight already at almost 10, this may be just what she needs.
If I can help her self confidence I will be the happiest Mom on this earth! Sorry I get all sappy when it comes to the kids...

bikinibod that is awesome that you want to set an example for your kids, my BF has 2, 12 yr son and 5 yr daughter and we are trying to feed them healthy and excercise with them (we all got new bikes this summer) i told my BF NO buying cookies and such in packages, im not against kids having some of that stuff but i am going to make it so we know whats going into their bodies, plus i have found some "healthy" baking recipes that i will eventually start to sub in for the regular and they won't even know hehe

as for not putting on your bikini on day 90 cuz of bloat, i think we ALL can understand that!!

That's awesome about your daughter, and she'll be getting a good start before puberty comes roaring in...

I know what you mean about the bloat thing, I'm just coming off the period from h*ll emoticon I usually lose 2 or sometimes 3 days [depending on if it falls on my rest day or not] cause I have such heavy periods. Any exertion causes it to be heavier [don't want to get TOO graphic] SO frustrating emoticon I read somewhere that there really is no such thing as "true" bloating, I say that's just a bunch of bullwinkle! emoticon

Sooooo, doubles huh? I MIGHT be able to be persuaded to give it a try...

**gasp** Did you say double? woo! I wish I had more time to do that! I am trying to lead by example with my 18 yr old. The fact that she is in Fire Tech makes me thrilled. They will keep her in shape and she will learn the importance of it. Why listen to mom preach it...glad your daughter decided on her own from your results! Way to go MOM! LOL on the bloating thing. I didn't want to post on the other thread that I have lost so much weight...I have no boobs anymore! They are slim and none. There...got that out...thanks! Great girl thread~ great idea! wildwings: Welcome! Yay for you! Doing the X at 53. I am trying to get my hubby to do it with me...he will be 51 next month. He gives me that ho hum excuse that he is too old, it will probably give him a heart attack! I know you will like the results you get. What programs have you done before this? You are in good shape if you are not too sore! Keep it up and you won't regret it.

horsechick: Welcome! I also love the X. Which one are you currently doing? Lean, classic or doubles. Wait until Phase 2, you will love it even more.

I will introduce myself...I am Lisa, 46 yrs old and LOVE the X. I was intimidated by it for a while and a friend of mine had the most amazing results with it. I remember when she struggled with the leg lifts in SI6. Those were easy for me, so when I saw her crushing the X, I had to do it.
I am in my last week of my first round(with bikinibody) emoticon, Lean. I cannot say enough how happy I am that I have done the X.
I was stuck on a plateau and this really helped. I have been with BB since Oct 05 and don't plan on going anywhere!
I have done SI6 (two rounds) Slim Series(my fav)well, until the X!, TJ (regular and Max results) ...I am addicted to staying fit.
I love the energy and strength I have.

I am glad we have a great group here...great support!

OK I know I am jumping in a little late here but I would love to join if there is room for me?? I'm in my first week...well technically last week was my first week but I had a rough weekend so I decided to scrap it and start fresh instead of worrying about the screw up!!! I'm a mom to three great kids...17,13 and 9 and I'm also a realtor so lets just say that the P90X is also a huge stress reliever too!!!!
