What you see above is what the P90 workout series has done for me in 17 months. 10 years of neglect wipedout, not with photoshop, but with Tony Horton and Beachbody...Curious? Come in and see the photos and share with us.

Ok, this is it I am starting the X today. I am a little nervous about it, but I am quite excited about the possibilities this program holds. I wil be doing Chest and Back. I have seen the DVD, it looks tough. Well I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Pedro. I am married to the perfect (for me) woman, and we have 4 wonderful children (18,11,10,7) the youngest being my only girl. I am 44 and I came to BB as an overweight middle age dad,and believe me I did not like that description. But now I am on day 226 of my BB journey. I have completed P90 and P90M. I have lost 29lbs and 7% body fat, but wait there's more...well maybe if you are interested you can read my profile and get the rest of the story. Bottom line here is BB is the best fitness thing that has happened to me as an adult, and now that I have it I will never give it up! emoticon Anyhow, I have never posted on any kind of forum before so be gentle with me. I will post my stats and pics ASAP. I look forward to the next 90 days, so Bring IT!

OK, it's 18 months latter and my crew asked for this, so here it is. Thanks Julie for the Logo and Quique for the idea..

Hi Pedro! I found myself in the same position as you in June of 2005. I was an out of shape middle aged Mommy and I was not happy about it! I bought and worked out with P90, PHH, YBB, SI6 and then did the Masters before dipping into the X. This is my 3rd round of the X and I know I am in the best shape of my life thanks to BB. The X is tough but you do get great results! You will be amazed at how much you improve on your strength and over all fitness as you continue with this program. Have fun and kick some butt! emoticon

Welcome to the X, Papi. I am sure you will do great. My wife and I are almost a week into the program. We are both new to working out so we have enjoyed much soreness but we continue to press play. We are not only improving our health but it also gives us a chance to spend some time together. We have two small children. As I am sure you are aware, it is difficult to find time for just the two us. Good luck. Just bring it.

Ok, I did it yesterday...my first P90X workout..wow. It felt good, but I know it's going to hurt latter during the week. Anyway it was great even though I don't think I did my best or maybe I did and that's all I had. I know I should probably should ease into it, but it is just hard for me to ease into anything. Well if you stop by here send me a note, and share something with me.

See ya,
Papi

Papi,
Great job on getting started. We are wrapping up our first week. I have been holding back some during the workouts because I did not know if I had enough to make it through the workouts. Now that I have proven to myself that I can do it, I really want to bring it. Looking forward to week 2. Just keep pressing play. Good luck with Plyo. It is an incredible workout.

HisServant,
Thanks for stopping by and giving me some encouragement. Congrats on finishing your first week. This is a killer of a workout, but I am glad that I did do P90M, because some of the moves are the same. Well I did survived Plyo and I am very happy about it. I tell you what...we'll both bring it next week...deal

Hi Pedro! Wow! You got great results! You are going to love P90X! You'll be amazed how much stronger you get!

I'm nearing the end of my first round. It's been fun. I'm not sure what's next for me. I just bought Hip Hop Abs, so I'm sure it will center around that, but I don't want to lose that hard earned muscle, so I will mix in some weight training too!

I'm glad you started posting. In my experience, keeping up on these boards is a great motivator. Every time I stray away from them, bad habits reappear! LOL! emoticon

Plus, this is the most supportive place I have ever posted! I love it here!

Have an awesome day!!!

Judy

cani, thanks so uch for the words of encouragement. I am happy with my results, but I am looking forwad to P90X results. I figure that it might be a good idea to start this thread since I might need a little encouragement and so far it's been great. Let me know how the Hip Hop Abs work.

RICKYC, Thanks for stopping by and sharing your first week expreince. I hope I can make it through my first week. I did YogaX yesterday and man...what a butt kicker...ouch. I will be doing legs and back here in about 30 min, so we'll see how that works. How about the Ab Ripper X...is that a killer or what?

Well I will go now so I can get ready to bring it...thanks for the posts. I look forward to reading from you again

Kenpo is fun and not too hard. Once of the easier workouts I think! Hang in there it gets easier each week! I was just looking at my progress and it's kind of cool to see the number of reps and weight amounts in your first week compared to your last! Definite progress! ANd everyone hates posting those early pics but it is so great to see the transformation. My son was looking at a pic of me about a year after my last son was born and he asked "Mommy who is that lady?" I told him it was me and kids being so honest he scrunched up his face and went Mommy you look hideous in that picture." My Hubby said to tak it as a compliment! LOL! emoticon

Hey Katenator, Thanks for stopping by and checking on me. I didn't think it would be a big deal for me, but I find myself looking forward to all of you stopping by and saying hello and leaving messages. It really motivates me. I just finished previewing the KempoX video and you are so right it looks like a lot of fun...I am no longer afraid :-) I am looking forward to playing Bruce Lee with Tony or should I call him Tony Lee in "Enter the Dragon X"

Read you later,
Papi

Hi Papi! I was afraid of this whole program before I started it, and guess what? There was nothing to be afraid of! It has made me feel like some of my other fears are worth testing out...like running a 5K!

Kate! That is too funny what your son said! Your husband is right, take it as a compliment! You're not getting older, your getting more beautiful!

Hey Judy, I hear you and you are right. Plus....I DID IT!!!!!! I finished my firstP90X week, and I am ALIVE!!!!!!!! I survived. Today is my day of rest, so I will be doing nothing. But I am looking forward to tomorow when I get to workout again. Working out really lowers my stress level, and I need that.

Hey Kate, you were so right (not that I doubted) the KEMPOX is definetly a fun ad fairly easy cardio workout. I really had fun with it though I got confused a few times with the combo moves.

Thanks again to both of you for keeping me company on my P90X journey. It sure is more fun that way.

TTFN,
Papi

Papi,

What a difference a week makes. I am loving P90X. The second time is still tough but knowing the moves and routines helps. I am able to keep up more and do more reps. Still not able to match Tony and peeps but I am getting closer. Still sore after most of the workouts which reminds all day that I am getter better. Cannot wait for the next workout. Hope you enjoyed your rest day and are ready to bring it into week 2.

Hey His Servant, Thanks for stopping by, and I am glad you continue to make progress. I say that within a few weeks you can smoke Tony emoticon I am looking forward to starting week 2, but I cannot say that I know the routines yet, though chest and back are pretty straight forward...pushups and pull ups. But hey that's the basic type of workout that got Rocky Balboa in shape when he workout in Russia...sorry... Anyhow I am hanging in there, but I had to change the diet, I guess is more like my wife changed my diet to the South Beach plus more carbs because the P90X diet it's just a little too hard for her to keep up with as in shopping and food budget impact...I guess the diet didn't take into account my demographics... A one income household with a stay home, homeschooling, gardening, mother of 4 (3 still at home) superwoman, so if she tells me that the diet is unreasonable and too expensive who am I to argue. what do you guys and gals think of the diet? There are some obscure ingredients in there...at least in the Midwest emoticon. well enoughchatting better get back to work...
