Hello everyone,

The Maniacs emoticon are loose as I said above. The idea is to put together the strongest supportive team possible to achieve incredible goals. And this team will move on to the X in Mid-Sept. Current members range from day 42-52 and most everyone is doing the 3/4 level. Matt, Brad and Steve and any others, here is the first challlenge:

Stevelaz and I set the first goals in the chat tonight:

People on sculpt 3/4 will do 30 reps of swimmers press tomorrow. emoticon

People on sweat 3/4 will do 3 rounds of kicks and 4 rounds of punches. If you really wanna bring it, TH300 Ab ripper as well. emoticon

Now the goal of this is to keep focused, raise our intensity and rip ourselves up. But if you feel it is too much then skip it, we dont want to start seeing detrimental effects. emoticon

And please keep the challenges reasonable. No TH800s or anything like that please.

"You can't build a reputation on what you're going to do." - Henry Ford (1863-1947)

I'm a maaaaniac, maaaanic,..

.. and I'm crushin' it like I've never crushed it before. emoticon Alright folks. IT'S ON! Class is in session and we're going to learn how to rip it. I'm diggin' the goals set so far.

The only suggestions I have thus far:

Give the ankle/wrist weights a shot for the cardio. REALLY steps it up a notch and REALLY brings out those abs when combined with the ab ripper.

I'll be thinkin' of some more over the weekend but it looks like we've got the beginnings of a force never before witnessed around these parts. emoticon

Crush that sucker, emoticon <--maniac face! *grr*

Hey guys!

Be careful with those ankle/wrist weights...they can seriously stress out your joints. Adding them to a stationary workout (i.e. abs) should be all right, but all that pressure on kicks and punches could hurt you.

Don't want any of you injured! I want to see you finish P90 and move to P90X with me!!!

Maniacs emoticon

It has begun. What was not known was that it was inevitable. The time has been coming since we started this p90 thing. Each of us was a maniac to start as can be seen by the results of this team, now we unify as one kick a$$ force.

South, Matt, Steve, Amanda, thanks for dropping in. Amanda definitely makes a fine point about the ankle/wrist weights. I am gonna pick mine up tomorrow but everyone be careful when doing fast movements such as punches and kicks. There will be alot of tendon strain and increased possiblity for injury, not to mention form starts to detereoriate when one gets tired = more likely for injury to occur. I just want this team to succeed and i know everyone wants this thing bad.

As Steve said: the 3 rounds of kicks and 4 rounds of punches stay as the goal in cardio 3/4 until someone changes it. I think it is a good goal for right now.

Sculpt will be 30 military presses, ouch... drop the weight some and curse Steve. It will be nice to change the sculpt goals very frequently.

Amanda thanks for your wisdom, i think you got maniac written all over you, what do you say are you in? If not, you can definitely weigh in on coaching the team and supplying helpful comments. Always appreciated!

Everyone is a maniac, they just dont realize it yet. You reading this, is there a maniac in you?

Amanda,

Cheers for the advice about the wrist/ankle weights - As Murph said we dont want any injuries to hamper our progress.

We all wanna kick some a$$ but dont want to have any lays offs through needless injuries.

I think our P90 extras have gotta be sensible(ish) - nowt too extreme - wait until we hit the P90X for that !!

Sorry I missed you in the chat tonight Murph.

All of the other maniacs ..... KPP - that now means keep pushing pause (as we are doing extra sets !!

Any tips or advice, throw them in the mix and we will all benefit.

Lets make this thread a BB legend !!

Steve

Maniacs, emoticonemoticonemoticonemoticonemoticonemoticonemoticon

I hope the additions are treating you well, i know they are for Steve and I.

After a day off yesterday emoticon I am ready to attack this thing to see what I can accomplish in a week for the 60 day shots emoticon.

I encourage people to put up their progress pics and stats here emoticon. I will soon for Lori and I.

Matt, I picked up wrist/ankle weights for $15 that have 4 lb. increments of weight packets. I am only gonna use these for the abripper, leglifts, hiprocks, ins and outs, etc... for now. Let me know what u are up to with the ankle/ wrist weights. I also bought the door anchor and will use this to add for oblique work. I will let you know ASAP if this does much or not.

Great to meet you today Tom,

Everyone welcome the newest member to team Maniac. He is on a second round of p90 so he is a true veteran. Thanks for popping in my friend.

I want you guys to post a progress pic on this thread as well if you can find the time. I just put my pics in a row to view and I decided I have to post it because i think people do not like the photo gallery format on my personal thread. However, there is no option down here to post a pic. How to do it? Let me know. I must not have permission yet.

Thanks for stopping bye tomora.
