Found this post on my thread advocating the pH Miracle diet by Dr. Robert O. Young. I've been researching it, but would gladly accept any feedback, please!

This was posted on my thread in the Slim In 6 forums. I've been researching it, but haven't found much that explains possible side-effects or anything. Can you give your thoughts on this "miracle", please?

Thanks,
Tina

I am new tot his site and have been reading how you all are making progress. I have a book I recommend for everyone interested in loosing weight. It is by Dr. Robert Young. It is called PH miracle for weight loss. He teaches you about fat and how your not over weight your over acid. Your body, when it has to much acid from your diet, forms and protects it by creating a cell to hold the acid. Hence over weight. One thing anyone can do to start is make your water alkaline. When your body is able to it will start dumping the toxins and acid in your blood stream to get rid of it, and then the weight starts to come off. You can do this by adding baking soda to your water straight out of your cupboard. Start with a quarter tsp per 16 oz glass. It will taste a little salty but soon you will crave it. Then you can increase the amout you put in I add 1 tsp per glass. In the program there is a sheet called Micas ladder. Most of the stuff on the top teir is alkaline which is what you want. I still struggle with following an alkaline diet completly, and would like to make it a lifestyle. Wester diet is what i grew up on that makes it a challenge. Good luck. I wanted to make you aware of the option to look into. Very good read.

Lynette

I don't know if I believe this, but a little extra baking soda is no big thing, so I'd be interested if someone here felt like being a human guinea pig and trying it.

I'll try it. I have an alkalizer water filter at my house that I've not been using. I was going to start using it anyhow. AND, I've been stuck in weight, so I'll be a guinea pig and report in a month or something. emoticon

Sweet....we gotta guinea pig! lol. Thanks Psoodoname, you're awesome! Can't wait to hear your thoughts about it. Keep us posted along the way; maybe once a week or so? To let us know how you're feeling and how much you're losing (weight &/or inches). Maybe I'll give the baking soda in the water a try too! I don't need to lose weight though, so I'll be watching that very closely. I'll let y'all know if I decide to be brave or not! lol.

Okay, I'll post once a week. I'm going to drink all my "Home" water from that thing. I'm working on a 24 oz glass right now."
I've always heard about acidity and diseases, of course. I never heard about it with weight loss.

We'll see!
