what level of fitness does one need to be at. like in P90X they recommend you take the fit test to see if P90 is something you are ready for

Hi everyone, my mother is 64 yrs young, she is very overweight, hight BP, on inhalers, her fitness level now is a walk which she tries to do everyday and she wants to do more but is concerned, she tires easy, so its Type 2 to intense or no and why or why not?

Hi Faithfulyfit, I worked out and studied the kit as part of a focus group. There is walking and step type workouts. It starts out in a beginners phase and advances. It is a wonderfully designed program and addresses the food management element (really great guides and food cards) - - which is always the second equation to maintaining health & fitness. Shoot Kathy Smith an email for more information...and of course consult a physician.

.........
Best,
Tadpole

Hi! Anyone can do Project You Type 2--Any fitness level, but specifically beginners. Yes, P90X would be too intense for someone who is not already in good physical shape. But that does't mean someone with diabetes can't eventually do P90X!!

If you have any more questions, I am a coach as well as a registered nurse.

Hello Erin,

Do you know if the P90x nutrition plan is much different from Kathy Smith's Project You Type 2? I am a diabetic and want to make sure that following the p90x plan, is still along the same lines.

Thanks,

Alan
