This thread is first a collection of initial progress pictures since my first cycle of P90x.
Here is what I looked like from the beginning, summer of 2007. Not really sure whay I thought it was okay to walk the beach looking like this!
I had to post that because in my day one picture, I sucked it in. I know, I know, Tony tells us not too, but pride makes us do it. Unfortunatley it makes my day one and day 30 pictures not so different...well, except for the lack of hair...lol
This was my progress after 2 cycles of P90x
day 30 cycle 2
day 60 cycle 2
day 90 cycle 2
I then took a break from the program to work on a 35 day cross-fit program designed for the cast and crew of the movie 300. I belong to a costumign group that revolves around fitness and health as well as the display and wearing of various period costumes, including replicas from the movie 300. I started the P90x Program after joining the group and having it introduced to me through there. Most folks in the group have used the program with great success. Here are my Day one and day 25 pictures showing my intense cross-fit and diet plan that would never have been possible if it wasn't for the P90x training...
Here is a shot of me portraying King Leonidas from the film along with some other guys from the group at a convention in Atlanta in August 2008...
The following picture series are monthly pictures I have taken over the past few months since the end of last August(2008). I continued to use P90x in all my weekly workouts but not as my only workout. I had supplemented with heavier workouts and additional nutrition and increase complex carbs and protiens to build up more mass, whihc has over time increase my body fat. The first picture was from Oct 2008 and the last was taken on Feb 1, 2009. In the October picture I was about 9% Body Fat and at my peak physical condition. The Feb picture I was about 16%.
Following this posting I will be starting a new round of P90x with the additional "Plus" series to rip down again for the summer.
Always a work in progress. Thanks Tony!
*updated photos!*
So since that last picture seen I went into a buildign phase trying to gain some weight and lean muscle and in the process lost a bit of my tone, enter P90X+. I am currently in the last 30 days of my current program and these are my results so far!
EDIT!
Here are a few more pictures recent as of 7/09!

ANOTHER ADDITION!
I was able to find myself portraying King Leonidas for the Dragon Con Convention again in 2009! To get ready for the event I pulled out P90X+ and then added a bit of Insanity!
Here are some pictures from Feb09-Feb 2010 including some of my shots from my Leonidas character portrayal in Sept 09!
This was in the summer of 09 shortly after my completion of the p90x+ routine and just starting Insanity!

When Shaun T says you will work out in a pool of your own sweat...HE ISN'T KIDDING!

These were taken at the end of my bout with Insanity, just around the end of OCT 09. I planned to finish this up just prior to going to Atlanta for the 300 event! A this point I was about 189 pounds and about 5% body fat!

Here are a few shots of me playing Leo!

Me and my super good bud Natalie, hamming it up as the Spartan couple!

After DragonCon, I started to feel more pain in my Labrum, a pre-exsisting injury from my job that I had been ignoring and trying to fix with physical therapy and a lot of working out...it didnt work. Thus began my surgery stage. I was not happy about this part of my life as it felt as though I was taking major steps backwards.
I had shoulder surgury on January 4th 2010. Prior to that about a month an a half before I had to begin slowing down a lot in my workouts due to serious pain in my shoulder. Pull ups and pushups became nearly impossible. After the surgery, I obviously was out of commission for awhile. After about a month I started implementing some cardio back into my workouts, along with my physical therapy. I used many programs from Tony's Cardio X and One on One legs routines, to Pure Cardio from Insanity to try and get back into some kind of shape.
This is a shot taken about 3 weeks ago(January 29th for the year end MDBG competition, nice time for that to come around eh?)...just befroe any working out at all. It is evident that exercise and nutrition goes along way and when one piece of the puzzle is missing, fitness suffers...

stay tuned...better thing to come!
