Hi I'm Lizzybear and I started my BB journey a year ago in July. Never did I once think that I would still be here a year later pushing play and enjoying it! I started out with SI6 then moved on to Turbo Jam then got brave enough to start P90X. I have enjoyed all of the BB programs. When I saw TMT I thought it would be a great addition to P90X, little did I know how wonderful it is all by it's little bitty self! I have been doing TMT since July 8th and have lost 6 pds and 10 inches total. Being a full time working mom, this has been an answer to my prayers and I'm sure it will be to others. 10, 20 or even 30 minutes doesn't sound like a lot after we have done programs that were 60 mins or longer. I hope you will join me and enjoy TMT as much as I do.

What a GREAT idea, Lizzie! There are soooo many working moms, and even some stay-at-home ones, who are just so busy and can't seem to find the time for a long workout. I'm sure this thread will be very active and helpful to alot of people, myself included!

I have the summers off, but work will start back up for me on August 25. I have to get up around 4:30 a.m. to get ready, so I'm still thinking about what time we'll start our workouts during the day. I do get back around 9:00 a.m. from my shift and then return to work again at 1:30 p.m. I'm thinking my hubby and I can do a workout around 9:30 a.m. and then another in the afternoon.

This is what I like about the idea of a 10-minute workout. You can be completely flexible with completing one session in the morning and then another or two in the afternoon or the other way around. It really works well with a busy schedule.

I'm still waiting for the shipping confirmation on the order we placed yesterday. Hope it comes soon.

Can't wait to PP with ya'll using the TMT. emoticon

Just finished PP to Abs/Yoga/Cardio! Wow really sweatin'! Going take a bath then eat out. Gonna eat healthy though. I'll check back later.

Hey Lizzy - cool thread. My TMT came today. I am so excited. Unfortunately, we had company all day so I couldnt read through my stuff. Gonna read through everything tonight - do my shopping tomorrow for the Lean Jean and then start lean jean on Friday. I can't wait.

Also, 'The experts', whoever they are, have suggested you can 2-3 hours more per day when you exercise as you get more accomplished and are more focused.

So, we as busy working moms can actually access more time if we stop to workout!

Plus, the days I exercise are the days I am more focused at work. Not that I am not focused on days I do not, but it is truly enhanced and I get more done! The more I get done, the less stress I have, the less stress I have the less chance of wrinkles!

ok.....I'll stop as I can think of a million and one ways exercise helps in my life!

We can stop for ten minutes!

Hey Mel - I know you are excited about starting TMT with all the talk going on about it on Ro's Angels. When you do your shopping you may want to start off just buying the first 5-6 days, then go back later and buy the rest of the days. That way your produce will stay fresh! Good luck w/Lean Jean, let me know if you have any questions.

Hey Maureenlw - Welcome - You are SO right! Exercise helps us in so many ways but sometimes it is just hard to squeeze that part in. With TMT I really have no excuses now except if I needed to go somewhere and didn't want to get all sweaty. That's if I workout in the evening! The morning w/o's are great but now that my kids are not in school we seem to stay up later and I can get myself up early to w/o. When school starts I'll be back on track going to bed at 9 pm and waking up at 4 am to w/o. I LOVE my morning w/o, I feel so good for the rest of the day plus you don't have to worry about something or someone getting in your way of your w/o's.

For those of you wanting to do the Lean Jean 10 day plan, you will need to plan ahead. Shopping for the meal plan may be a little overwhelming to say the least! Break it into two parts when shopping. If there is something you really don't like try to substitute it with something very close. For instance, I don't like salmon so I just ate another fish. Instead of buying the different breads, I just used the same whole wheat each time it called for bread. I did the same for my salads. I bought the spring mix and spinach and ate that every time it called for salad. The meal plan was very easy to follow but you will need to pack everything you need while at work, breakfast, lunch and snacks. Make sure you have ten days to commit with no interuptions also. Commit to your two w/o's a day and you will see the pounds and inches melt away! Good Luck!

Oh Maureenlw - Forgot to tell you.....My dinner.....I ate grilled chicken salad....yummy. We ate at Texas Road House, something my daughter has been craving so of course I ate one of their delicious breads in the beginning. Drank water with my meal too! (I love their peach margaritas but didn't have one) Yeah me!

Top 10 Ways to Jump-Start Your Weight Loss:

1. Eat protein at every meal, including breakfast.

2. Eliminate wheat- and flour-based products for the time being. And yes, that definitely includes bread and pasta.

3. Eat unprocessed foods. Ninety percent of what you eat should be a combination of (in this order of importance) raw vegetables, steamed vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and maybe a few fruits if necessary.

4. Reduce starch to one portion a day, and don't eat that portion during your evening meal. Best choices are beans, sweet potatoes, and oatmeal.

5. Don't overdo fruit: one a day maximum, and only the low-sugar, high-fiber variety. Apples, pears, plums and berries all are good choices. For now, fruit should be eaten alone or with something light, like low fat nuts. Lose the fruit juice completely.

6. Reduce or eliminate dairy for the time being, especially cow's milk. Exceptions: reasonable amounts of low sugar, fat free yogurt.

7. Lose the booze. Despite what the "studies" say, you lose no health benefits by giving up alcohol (including wine). There is nothing essential in alcohol that you can't get in fruits and vegetables without all the bad side effects that go along with it.

8. Stop using vegetable oils such as sunflower, safflower and corn. The supermarket kind is highly refined, and it oxidizes easily when heated, contributing to arterial plaque. Use olive oil instead, and apply it to food after the food is cooked when possible.

9. Watch which types of fat you're eating. The amount of fat you eat is probably less important than the kind of fat you eat. The worst are fried foods, margarine and foods that contain hydrogenized or partially hydrogenized oils. The best is omega-3, found in fish and flaxseed oil.

10. Obsessively drink water: At least 8 ounces for every 20 pounds of bodyweight you're now carrying around, each day. Every day. No excuses.

I just got my TMT. They accidentally forgot to send my Lean Jean Plan. Customer service was awesome & said they'd have it here in a few days.

If you stick around here with Lizzy, PP & eat clean, the pounds will fall off. I can't wait to get started with TMT!

Hello ladies,
I am new to TMT and to these message boards, but I do understand the strength message boards offer, so I wanted to get invloved. I have been losing weight since January and am down apx 40 pounds so far. I really need to tone my body and love Tony's workouts. Is it okay if I join in this thread? I just need some support and love to offer support as well. I work 40 hours a week, commute 45minutes one way everyday and have a one year old and a three year old, so the working mom thread just jumped out at me. My cardio belt was broken when I got it, so I am waiting on a new one.

HEY ClaysRocks - Welcome, we are so glad to have you. You sound like me with the 45 min commute. Some days I just don't want to get in my car to drive home! That's just part of living in a large city. WOW 40lbs gone since January. Girl you need to tell me your secret. I've been doing TMT for about a month now and just love every one of the w/o's. I even enjoy the YOGA which I didn't like with P90X! Girl don't wait for your belt, jump in there and do it! I don't use the belt, it kinda got in my way!!!!! he he he I have gotten great resuts without the belt, so don't wait, get with it!

Thanks for the encourgement! I started with eating clean. In the past I tried to do it all, eat right, workout, positive additude, lol. I decided to focus all of my energy on one aspect and get that right for once. Eating right just seemed the most logical choice. In the past I just ate more when I worked out, ya know to compensate or reward myself or whatever other wack advice I gave myself. I met Tony in person and was really impressed by the fact that he was genuine and real, so I decided right then and there to get the TMT.

I am going to take your advice and just do it without the belt. It is hard to keep on eye on the tv when you turn around and look at the door. Maybe this way I can learn the routines better as well and work up to the belt if need be. Thank you for your support. I get self-concious easily, especially looking at all the ripped people on this site.

Whoo Hoo Just PP to Cardio/Lower Body/Yoga. Man that lower body right after cardio is killer!

Tomorrow I will not be PP. I have an upper endoscopy scheduled for 2:30 pm tomorrow and I can't have anything to eat or drink after 5:30 am which means I'm getting up early to eat some breakfast then going back to bed! At least I get a day off of work.

I'll be checking in though. Soooo no talking about food tomorrow. I'm so scared I'm gonna starve to death!!!!!!!!!
