UPDATE - DECEMBER @*, 2009
As sometimes happens, threads die... no matter how much we wish it weren't so sometimes it's just beyond our control, people get busy, people fall away from the program and posting, life just happens... so I am going to try and breathe a little life back into this thread before I call it emoticon I also have "life happen" to me too Photobucket and have been experiencing a slump that I need help to get out of.

I realize that BEFORE New Year's is an odd week to start but when the FIRE hits you ya gotta roll with it!! So I'm looking for some buddies...ANYONE want to jump on board???

We started out like GANGBUSTERS with a whole bunch of people who hopped aboard "D" Train, but as happens, quite a few people have been derailed... we're down to a scant few and are looking for some new RIDERS to hop on "D" Train... doesn't matter where you are in the program, WE WANT YOU!!!

I wanted to get this thread up early in the hopes of getting a group together to do a round of ChaLean with me. I was in the midst of doing a round of P90X but have been absolutely INCONSISTENT with my workouts. On the other hand today will be Day 80 of drinking absolutely ZERO ALCOHOL. For those of you who might know me, and might know my affinity for having a shot of whiskey..hehe.. this has been a major accomplishment!!! ..and I'm not quitting FOREVER.. it's just that I find that if I drink on a daily basis, rather than an occasional basis, I have a tendency to not be able to get up early and get my workouts done! Soooo.. I'm getting up early, no problem.. but I don't think watching tv counts as exercise these days emoticon so while I was able to make one HUGE change, I am still currently struggling with the workouts. I absolutely LOVE and ADORE Tony but I can't seem to find my fire and I think it's time to switch it up with Chalene (who I LOVE and ADORE too emoticon...so here I am, looking for a few brave souls to go on this journey with me. If I've learned one thing in my 3 years of doing BB workouts it's that I have a much higher degree of success when I am accountable to others. So who's with me? emoticon

My vision for this thread (and TEAM) is that this place belongs to EVERYONE...it's not my thread. I want it to be warm and inviting.. a place where one can go for inspiration.. to share your joys/triumphs.. or a place to go when you need a shoulder to lean on! I want it to be a place that you want to come to because you know there are FRIENDS there that will support and LOVE you NO MATTER what! I hope that this resonates with some of you and you will feel inclined to hop on this train emoticon

Oh..I suppose I should tell you at least a little bit about myself... My name is DeeDee. I will be 44 next month..I live in North Central Washington state and I'm a secretary by trade. I have two children..one 22 (Rachel) who is married to a great guy named Bruce..who is proudly serving our country in the Marines, and and i have an 8 year old fireball named Riley who keeps me from feeling my age..lol!

I look forward with excited anticipation at meeting some new friends to share this journey with.

Hi DeeDee,

I'm so happy to see your thread. I tried P90X but it was not right for me at the time for a couple of reasons. I can relate to your comments about alcohol. I got into the bad habit of having a couple of glasses of wine every night. That lead to bad eating and missing morning workouts.

I am 50 (that's hard to say!) and I would like to lose 25 pounds. My kids are 22 and 24 and they are starting to hint that it is time for me to get serious about health and fitness. I am a lawyer and sit at a desk most of the day.

I look forward to sharing this experience with you.

Hey lady! Thanks for being the first to post! It felt good to log in this morning and see that someone responded!! emoticon I look forward to getting to know you through this journey!! YAAAY for us! I already feel a sense of excitement about beginning this. I know we're gonna do great together!! ..and I can relate to sitting at a desk most of the day!! Where abouts do you live? Do you WOWY? I'm a 5am exerciser...and I was having to get up at 4:30 to do the X... I think that's what got to be a bit much..the whole time factor of needing an hour plus!

Are your kids boys? girls? one of each? ..lol I'm glad I got my boy the second time around as I was 35 when I had him and knew that I probably wouldn't do it again....so I'm happy I have one of each.. emoticon I know it's hard to say the age but just think that when we're through with this round you're gonna be a HOT, SCHMOKIN' 50!!! HEY..look at Tony!!! and if you want some more inspiration look at Lisa Delia's thread over in the X... she will be 50 this year and wowzer..you'd never know it!!

Okay..I'm about to get my day started.. just wanted to say HEY...glad you're here girlfriend!! I'll try and get back in a while to post again.

I live in Ohio so I think we are three hours apart. My plan is to work out at 6:00 am. I believe most of the sessions are about 30-40 minutes. I started the program two weeks ago but only had light weights. I ordered the weights from Bow Flex and they came in this week! I think I'm going to start the whole program over on Monday. Any chance you want to start next week instead of May 4? I'd love to do this together.

I'm really worried about the food part. I eat out at least 5 times per week. I know that I really need to just say no for awhile and eat clean at home.

I have two boys, one here and one in Chicago. Both are finished with college and I am done with tuition!

Good morning DeeDee & Bondgirl. I am in the push phase of CE & I love the workouts. You two will rock this thing. Don't forget to keep up with your workout sheets. They are very important. I have mine in a 3 ring binder. I don't know if everyone's guide book is the same as mine but after Burn 1 there are no spaces to record weight & reps used. I don't write in my book anyway, so that is why I have my own sheets. I didn't mean for this to be so long but anyway, hang in there & KPP.

Hi! I'd love to join this thread! I tried to start one for "May Starters" a couple of days ago...but didn't get any responses. Anyway, I am starting today! In about 10 minutes...I'm so excited! I just finished up a 3 month long "boot camp", and while I got a lot stronger (I could barely do one "real" push up when I started) I didn't see the results I was looking for. I hope I do with this program! I also started the nutrition plan today...and breakfast was great!

I am a stay at home mom to 3 boys, ages 13, 11 and 3. They keep me VERY busy...my oldest 2 play lacrosse and ice hockey so we are always running somewhere! My husband is in his final month of P90X and he really likes it (and he looks amazing). I was going to try it, but I just won't have the time for the longer workouts this summer as my husband will be traveling for work over the next 3 months. I am also a "runner" (wannabe) and trying to get in 3-4 runs each week takes up time as well.

Thanks for starting this thread...I'll be checking in each day!
(I forgot to add that I'm 34)

Happy Friday new friends!!! YAY!! I'm so excited to start this!! I have a busy morning so I'm going to try and post quickly and then be back this afternoon. Although that's what I said yesterday...oh, and I want you guys to know that I don't have any internet at home at the moment so I will be out of touch on the weekends. We are in the process of getting *gasp* dial-up..but it's the only thing we can get in our remote location at the moment. Sucks, but slow internet is better than no internet I guess..lol..

Bondgirl...BTW..I love that name.. it just evokes sexy...hehe and I know you will be by the time it's all said and done. So I think I might take you up on starting a week early as I'm the type that's just sitting around eating until that date emoticon..I'm bad..I admit it!! So next monday then!! We'll keep it open for anyone that wants to join us..ANYTIME though!! So glad to have you here!!

Barbfike..Thanks for your encouragment!! I'm getting all fired up...I absolutely love Chalene and am looking forward to a change. I will take your advice about keeping a good record also...I definitely want to see my progress when I get to the lean phase! I would love to have you hang out here too!

Rossilu..Great to meet you girl!! I know what you mean about sometimes getting no responses when you start a thread.. it can be discouraging.. believe me, I know.. the last thread I had over at the X section was the same. there's just so many threads that it's hard to compete! Great that both you and your husband are on the same page with a healthy lifestyle...and I have the same issues right now with the longer X workouts..I just don't have a spare hour and 15 minutes every morning.. Anyway...I'm so glad you're on board and I look forward to getting to know you better!

So listen..here's one more thing.. I didn't post this on the outside thread header but I was thinking about having a few prizes at the end for the person with the best transformation or most inches lost.. or something.. and the prizes would be.. a box of protein bars, a box of recovery drink packets, and some supps. Sound like a winner? We can figure the details out later.. emoticon

Hi Rossilu, thanks for joining us here. I thought P90X was a bit advanced for where I am and agree that the sessions are too long...for now! Maybe after I finish CE I will be able to move over to the X.

Barb, thanks for your note. I found the sheets on Chalene's blog.

DeeDee...I'm going to spend this weekend getting my food ready for Monday. I think the idea of prizes is fabulous. Count me in....Dial up????? You poor girl! Now for my name, I am a wine collecter (I have 800 bottles) and the name is for a wine named Bond...lol. However, I hope working out with Chalene will mean I can use it the other way as well!

I am starting Chalean extreme Sunday or Monday, can't wait. I am currently doing Turbo Jam until then. I just got the ChaLean today so if I think I will finsh the week with Turbo Jam and read up on the ChaLean.

I am 44 married and have 2 children 19 and 15 and live in Ohio. I did P90x for a little over a month but was having trouble with getting in some of the longer workouts I guess it just not right for me at this time.

Soooo HAPPY to have you on board with us! I love all the BB workouts and the "X" is a top notch program..but it's still advanced for me and I've done a few rounds of it. When motivation is low it's haaard to find it in you to face and hour+ workout! I'm totally excited about this journey we're all taking together!! WOO HOO..

I'm also going to be starting CE in May- ROUND 2 of CE, that is!!!! Mind if I join in on this thread? I think it would be kinda fun to get in near the beginning of a thread rather than jumping in on page 25 of an existing one! I didn't do a lot of posting during round 1- more lurking than anything. This go around I think it might be fun to have commrades!

My name is Wendy. I'm 38 years old, married with 3 kids- Tyler (17)- that's harder for me to take than my own age!, Rebecca (9) and Blake (7). I live in East Texas and I love and adore Chalene, too!

I'm on day 88- that's right 2 days left- of CE. It has been an awesome experience. I have had tremendous success, but still have a bit more to go. I love what CE has done to my body and to my mind, so I want to continue this journey- hence ROUND 2. My husband is a P90x'r, but I'm not there yet emoticon I'm going to do stats on about day 92- because ANY stats duriing TOM are NOT OFFICIAL!! Once I get those, I'll post them. So far, I'm a very happy camper. I wanted the results you see in all the infomercials, but that's not quite what I've gotten- I do believe it can be possible after 1 more round, though.

I can't say enough good things about CE. But I can say that you are all going to LOVE your new, leaner, more muscular bodies!!

Hi Jewell and Wendyn. I'm glad we are all doing this together. I'm going to spend the weekend getting my kitchen together. My biggest challenge is going to be staying on the food program. That and giving up my nightly wine!

I am usually pretty busy during the week. Does anyone cook their meals on Sumdays? I need some suggestions of what to make.

DeeDee and ladies - was hoping to jump aboard and ride this thing out with you all. Have to try to even out the boards and throw a fellow on here.

I started P90 last year at this time and had wonderful resluts. Due to an injury after my 90 took off for 4 months, gained 12 pounds back and came back with a vengence. Just finished the Master Series on Saturday and very happy with the results. Today starts my Day 1 of Round 1 of CLX. Could use a group to keep me focused

I fear with my lack of balance there are bruises to come until get familiar with it.

Hi All - I've been doing Beach Body on and off since... gosh it's been so long I don't even remember! I did P90 first (loved it), then some Power Half Hour, then tried Slim in 6 and the Slim Series, sprinkled in a little Yoga Booty Ballet, Kathy Smith, and Turbo Jam. I even did over a month of P90X until I decided I needed to be doing more than just cooking, eating, sleeping, working and working out all day, every day! So my workouts over the past couple of years have been pretty sporadic. I need accountability, and since I CANNOT find ANYONE I know to commit to working out regularly with me, I'm coming back to the tried-and-true system of BeachBody and the message boards.

I've been wanting to get ChaLean Extreme for awhile now, but funds are extremely tight and I only get paid once a month. So I'm ordering it today and I'll jump on board the D Train as soon as it arrives!

I'm 41 with a 17 year old daughter and a 14 year old son, and I live in Michigan. Looking forward to a new BB journey with this good sounding group of ChaLeaners!

I'm Jackie (NoJiggle) and wanted to drop by and say HELLO! I know too well the "drink demon"...my vice is beer. But, I have gotten so much better!
I'm in week 3 of my 2nd round of CE. I love the program! Had good results the first round...could have been better if my eating had been better. Started during the holidays and that wasn't the smartest thing to do! Cleaned up my act in the 3rd month and shrank! I do GREAT with working out...eating is my problem...although I have gotten better with it.

Well, I'm 43 (44 in June) and have a 12 year old boy (going on 16) emoticon My fiance' and I both do BB workouts...he likes doing P90X (but also likes beer), so progress has been slow. Making progress, but slow.

Let's keep in touch!! CE is an awsomely extreme program!!!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!

YAAAAY!..This is me this morning at my computer Photobucket having my coffee and smiling from ear to ear to see all of you who want to take on this journey together.. Photobucket ..okay, you'll find out that I love to put a lot of fun smileys in my posts, but I've learned that BB doesn't like it too much and they will frequently remove them.. hehe ..so I try and keep it to a minimum .. sorry admin(Photobucket)..just trying to liven up the place a little bit..evil ..I've probably already exceeded my quota there..lol

Okay..so YAHOO...I got up and got my workout done today... I really had to push myself because I was tired but I thought about all my buddies here and VOILA.. that gave me to extra motivation I needed to do it.. and as always, I'm sooo happy I did!!.. I'm adding shakeology to my morning so I'm interested to see what a difference it will make. Anyone else trying shakeology? ..

Good Morning EVERYONE!!

emoticon emoticon ..I'm soooo happy to see so many people who want to take this journey together.. YAAAAY. Soooo, I just did a nice long post and it got nabbed by admin for review..and I'll tell you why ...because I use smileys from my photobucket (because honestly, the smiley's here are just not adequate sometimes..LOL!) and normally if I just use one or two they will get by...but in my excitement this morning I obviously exceeded my quota and it got nabbed.. so it WILL show up later...but they will have removed all the smileys I inserted.. but I want to update now so I will re-create what I already typed (dangit, I knew I should've copied!!! emoticon)

DAY 1...BURN CIRCUIT 1--DONE!!
I got all my workout clothes out last night so that I would be ready this morning and I'm tellin' ya, when that alarm went off I was tired and I pushed the snooze once.. and then twice.. and then I thought about all of you here and got my ace out of bed and brought it!! ..and as always, I'm so happy that I got it done and out of the way!! I follwed my workout with a chocolate shakeology and felt super good about that too. I'm interested to see if it lives up to the hype.. The price can definitely be off-putting but I decided to give it a chance and see how I like it... PLUUUUS, I thought it would be GREAT to add to my son's diet ...he's 8 and talk about picky... SHEEEESH .. and he's way better now than he used to be... so I figured it would be a good thing for him to have before he went to school in the morning ..I use half a scoop, add milk and I have to add a little chocolate syrup or it tastes too much like a protein shake and he won't drink it... add some ice..put in the magic bullet and there ya go.. what kid doesn't want to have a chocolate shake for breakfast in the morning?..hehe I've actually been making him protein shakes for a long time now... I figure it's not much different than if he had chocolate milk with his breakfast.. but this way I can sneak in all the good nutrients!! I have been putting spinach in his protein shakes also..and he can't taste it at all.. AWESOME huh!! ... so he's on shakeology now too.. anyone else using this? I'm interested to know what others think... I saw that Chalene was raving about it ...

So I have some phone calls that I have to return and then I will be back to do personals .. and try to sneak some smileys in .. emoticon
