A friend of mine has been raving about her vitamix for years, so I finally broke down and bought one. They are very expensive, but well worth the money. I can throw in 3 bananas, two peaches, two oranges, two cups of blueberries, 2 cups of strawberries, to cups of blackberries, spinach, and flaxseeds, turn it on, and in about 30 seconds, you have one awesome smoothie. My old blender would leave most of the flaxseed intact which doesn't do anything for you since it passes right through. The vitamix turns the flax seeds goo! You don't even taste any grit.

Another cool thing is that you can through in vegetables and such, turn it on to make a soup, and in about 5 minutes it is hot!

No, I don't sell them, I am just very impressed with mine. I haven't had solid food since it arrived. LOL

This thing ain't cheap and i am.

Regardless, I laid out the $450 for it and its the best appliance in my kitchen. I use it more than my stove.
It has completely changed how i deal with food and has helped me lose weight. It isn't a scam.

I bought a Vitamix blender a couple of weeks ago and it has been amazing! Costco had a demo and if I had not seen it myself I wouldn't have believed it.

I have gone through a ton of spinach, pineapple, apples, grapes, strawberries, etc and haven't thrown away anything! Now, I won't lie to you, when I look at the blender and see all that stuff sitting in the blender all I think is "Ick!" then I just say to myself "Just. Hit. The. Button." The one nasty I created was done so following the book. I put a bit of yellow pepper in the mix and it was one sip away from the garbage because the pepper overpowered everything else...maybe I used too much of it. My daughter and I looked at each other and she said "I know you are going to say it's healthy for me but mom, this time that ain't gonna cut it."

Anyway, I love my Vitamix! My friend has one and highly recommended it. Sure it is expensive but it is a small price to pay for a machine that can both create healthy smoothies AND blend your house with a push of a button. I use mine every single day.

In a time where most people are drinking the majority of their calories through a straw it's nice to know that I am able to drink something that has so many of the nutrients I need every day! So for anyone on the fence about getting a Vitamix...go for it!

That's the blender I use. So long as you get one that doesn't leak (for whatever reason this color hasn't for me yet as opposed to the others) it is a great blender for the price. I use it daily and makes frosty shakes. I have had others and they were not nearly as good. Regards

We make a daily smoothie. I would be reluctant to compare any other blender to the Vitamix. The Vita-mix is simply a different beast. It was expensive, but in the end it is worth it. We do things daily w/ the Vita-mix that would destroy any other blender we had owned if we had just done it once.

If anyone is interested, here is our daily smoothie:

For 2 people:

1/2 orange peeled (pith left on)
1/2 lime peeled
1/2 Kiwi peeled
5 baby carrots
1/2 cup grapes
1 inch slice of zucchini
1 inc slice of yellow squash
1 inch slice of cucumber
1/2 cup of coleslaw mix
1 cup of spinach
1/2 inch slice of pineapple (peeled but not cored, the core is healthy)
1/4 cup cranberries
1/2 cup strawberries
1 cup blueberries
1/2 cup juice (antioxidant heavy like Acai or Pomegranate)
1/2 cup soy milk
2 T ground flax
2 T wheat germ
2 T chia seed
4 T soy protein isolate
1 T honey

This makes about 2 big glasses full.

We add different things as well but this is the basic smoothie (but you can add pear, apple, papaya, melon, tomato, peaches etc.).
