HOLY CAT! I just did my 1st test workout with Beast on Build: back/Bi. Such an intense workout that I felt that im growing burly chest hairs. lol.
I did a bit of modification since Im doing Beast at the gym. For the deadlift, I used the barbell and do the old school deadlift vs dumbbells. And as for the Airplane Back extension (the last routine for core routine), I mimic the routine on a back extension bench, so that I can get the most out of it. And for rear fly, I did use the reverse fly machine, which I think hits my trap and rear delt better.
So y'all who are doing Beast - what kind of version are you doing?
- HUGE BEAST or
- LEAN BEAST?
The schedule are almost the same but just a tiny bit different.
Dont forget to take your before pics along with your stats and measurement. This is very IMPORTANT!I took pictures already but will take my measurements tmr. Will definitely post it here.
bielawa Im there with you bud. It doesnt hurt to start as a pre-training week, but wouldnt it be better to start on Monday so that your week is more organized? Just my 2 cents. Btw, thanks for the vote of confidence
hart316 Hey there, thanks for joining us. When do you plan to start?
coachladdyboy Thanks for fixing the bug. I really appreciate that and making this thread looks less like a spammy board
DanielPerez Yes u can join on the 7/9. We will be just doing it here, keeping the accountability on this message board vs FB. I like the FB idea, but I have always have the soft spot for TBB message board. So lets keep the msg board alive vs FB, which is becoming more and more of time vampire. Plus, with this board, the knowledge is open and can be shared with everyone.
jdnatl Have you read the Nutrition Guide? Sagi wrote pretty good advice about bodybuilding diet on a budget. I know a lot of lifters buy groceries in bulk and cook everything in advance over the weekend and just store everything in the fridge. When ready, all you need is to pre-heat the food in the oven - save time.
Im not sure where you're located, but for me, being in Santa Monica, Im lucky enough that we have Trader Joes or Fresh n Easy. They have great frozen section that has fresh prepared frozen food, like marinated chicken or salmon that I just need to thaw and put in the oven. The price is affordable as well. So for that, I only spend on average $50 on groceries PER week, while I have $20-30 food budget for eating out.
Actually about 2 months ago, I was spending about $1500/month on food since I ate out all the time in a nice place. But enough is enough - it is not wise to flush down money when I'm a single man. So with $300 per month for food budget, i think that is great, and I can save the rest of the money on savings account. Thats the secret of being wealthy
coachnatep Dude, thanks for the vote of confidence
