Did you do any extra exercises besides INSANITY for the 60 days?
Hi! I was just wondering if anyone did any additional exercises besides Insanity for the 60 days? I usually spend about 2 hours a day working out and would feel weird skipping all of my old exercises, but is Insanity that intense that I wouldn't need to do anything else?

Thanks!

Hi! I have been doing Insanity for 2 weeks now. I usually do a regular weight training or a run in the morning and Insanity in the afternoon the first week. The second week I have been on vacation and had enough free time to follow my Insanity with some time at the gym. I am a long distance runner so I am trying to maintain a 30 miles per week base. Some coaches will probably tell you that Insanity is too tough and just do that but really from a cal burn point of view I noticed the second week my burn dropped 10-15% compared to the first week. I feel I am adapting pretty quickly. Being a runner I don't worry too much about doing Insanity and running the same day. It's similar to running doubles in my book (that is running twice a day). That said every body is different and my recommendation would be to go easy the first week as you familiar yourself with the workouts. These workouts are really intense regardless how fit you are. "Taking it easy" means something different to everybody too. Weighty training is a good supplement I think. Because I run pretty hardcore I try running on easier days (like cardio recovery) and do low impact elliptical on intense Insanity days (like plyo or cardio strength). I also skipped a workout a week to give 2 consecutive days of rest from Insanity (still worked out at the gym and ran at least one day off). Hope this helps.

I still lift, but not as much and not as often. Concentrating on Insanity, but can't give up the iron...

Your other workouts will really depend on what your goals are. if you're just looking to lose some weight and tone up you shouldn't need anything more than Insanity. But if you lift a lot and are looking to keep up your muscular build it wouldn't be a bad thing to keep doing those workouts. Just make sure to increase your calories on those days.

Hi! emoticon So if you would like to keep your other workouts, then by all means do it! emoticon Lots of people do a hybrid of Insanity and say Turbofire. You can do Insanity by itself, or add other workouts. Just listen to your body!! Also be sure to supplement all of this working out to help your body. emoticon Keep us updated!!!

I agree with Tom. The difference for me is my second workouts were more cardio - treadmill and elliptical. I did this 4 times a week the first month but had to cut back to 3 times a week the second month as the old bod was telling me too.

KPP!
