I know this has probably been posted before, but everyone's story is different...I'm seeking out advice from coaches, someone who may have done it already, or someone who is a personal trainer/has a lot of experience.
I started insanity because I want to condition myself (as I'll be doing the Tough-Mudder next year), and I want to shed this layer of fat above what are probably some amazing abs

(all joking aside). I think being able to finish this workout will be great for my mind, body, and soul.
I'm only a few days in, and I'm doing pretty good (was really happy to do the recovery cardio day, man did I NOT want to wake up this morning). I do insanity every day before work, it's opportune for me because I have a ton of energy, I have more time, and I'm motivated, plus it's easy for me to refuel my body.
But I've been weight training for 3 months and I really saw some great results, my biceps were getting bigger, triceps looked great, and I as really toning up. I found a lot of success and felt wonderful about myself.
While I haven't gained weight, I feel (whether its visible or not) that a lot of my muscle is going away.
So I consulted my coach and she said it would work to do weight training a few nights a week in with my Insanity. How do you all feel? I figured one day of Biceps/Back, one day of Triceps/Chest, one day of Shoulders. Theres already a ton of leg work in Insanity, so I don't need that.
WIll I be killing my body and going backwards with success. I only ask this because I feel like insanity isn't going to let my muscles recover, but at the same time, I think the right nutrition and sleep will be enough, and keep my day off as a day off (sunday).
Any success/warnings/ideas? I would really appreciate it!
I also want to note that at this time I don't have P90x and can't quite afford to get bands, weights, and the DVD set
