Are you ready to start a 90 day challenge?

Are you looking for motivation and accountability with a great team?

Do you need a coach that will be supportive and responsive?

If you answered yes to any of these, this thread is for you.

My name is Kim and I am an Emerald TeamBeachbody coach ready to help you stay dedicated to your Beachbody program. I am starting P90X on August 6 and I want to get a great group together no matter what program you are doing. I completed P90X in 2011 and followed that up with Turbofire and Insanity. Now I am ready to work through P90X again while training for a half marathon.

No matter what program you are working on, beginner or a veteran, we can support each other and work to accomplish our goals.

Post an introduction and join the team today!

I'll join you again. emoticon I turn 30 in two months and, while I finished P90X with great results, I've been slacking. I'm also a distance runner but haven't been running much because it's SO HOT OUTSIDE. I finished a marathon in January right before starting round 1 of P90X - I'm ready to do this again. emoticon

I have less than two weeks left of Insanity and I'm going to do another round of it most likely. I'm pumped!

Hey Coach Kim,

I would like to join your group starting on August 6th. I started the program in the beginning of June but quit after day 28 for a reason I can't explain. I think I was getting tired of doing it every day. But I hope joining a group discussion and doing the exercises will help me get past my previous defeat. And I would love to have the help and support from a coach like you.

I'm in!

Here's my story so far: I'm 43. I'm on my second round of P90X. I made it 80 days on my first round, was in the best shape of my life, and then I broke nine of my ribs and a vertebra at the motorcycle races. Seven weeks later, I started P90X again from the beginning.

I just did day 20 - Kenpo X. It's one of my favorites. Deep down, I am a cardio guy more than a strength training guy.

I like the way I feel when I've been doing my P90X. I like the way I look. I think if I hadn't had nearly three months of P90X training under my belt when I had my crash, it would have taken me much much longer to recover.

I use the blog feature every day to write down just a line or two about my workouts. I think having that continuity in my workout diary, and knowing that anyone who cared could come and look and see if I was skipping or making excuses - that keeps me motivated to push play every day.

I also need to say that Kim is an outstanding Beachbody coach - she's responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely concerned for her team. I respect the effort she puts in to keep others motivated and engaged, and I look up to her.

I'll be posting my daily workouts here, reading everyone else's posts, and cheering you all on.

Workout complete for today and its only 9:00am! I love that on a weekend. For some reason, I can do that without a problem during the week but something about the weekend mornings triggers laziness in me. Well, not this morning!

Thanks for the compliments bandacycle. I do care about helping the teamemoticon I get as much help as everyone else too!

I'm determined to be productive today...keep pushing play all!

I've had a tremendous morning, cleaning and working. I love days like these! Below is a chapter of "Eat that Frog" by Brian Tracy that has allowed me to be super productive in the weeks since I read it. Maybe some of you will enjoy it as much as I did! You can google the whole book if you want to read the rest. It has been life changing for me!

Coach Kim

The more thought you invest in planning and setting priorities before you begin, the more important things you will do and the faster you will get them done once you get started.
The more important and valuable the task is to you, the more you will be motivated to overcome procrastination and launch yourself into the job.
The ABCDE Method is a powerful priority setting technique that you can use every single day. This technique is so simple and effective that it can, all by itself, make you one of the most efficient and effective people in your field.
The power of this technique lies in its simplicity. Here’s how it works: You start with a list of everything you have to do for the coming day. Think on paper.
You then place an A, B, C, D or E before each item on your list before you begin the first task.
39
An "A" item is defined as something that is very important. This is something that you must do. This is a task for which there can be serious consequences if you do it or fail to do it, like visiting a key customer or finishing a report for your boss that she needs for an upcoming board meeting. These are the frogs of your life.
If you have more than one "A" task, you prioritize these tasks by writing A-1, A-2, A-3, and so on in front of each item. Your A-1
task is your biggest, ugliest frog of all.
A "B" item is defined as a task that you should do. But it only has mild consequences. These are the tadpoles of your work life. This means that someone may be unhappy or inconvenienced if you don't do it, but it is nowhere as important as an "A" task. Returning an unimportant telephone message or reviewing your email would be a "B" task.
The rule is that you should never do a "B" task when there is an "A" task left undone. You should never be distracted by a tadpole when there is a big frog sitting there waiting to be eaten.
A "C" task is defined as something that would be nice to do, but for which there are no consequences at all, whether you do it or not. "C" tasks include phoning a friend, having coffee or lunch with acoworker or completing some personal business during work hours. This sort of activity has no affect at all on your work life.
A "D" task is defined as something you can delegate to someone else. The rule is that you should delegate everything that anyone else can do so that you can free up more time for the "A" tasks that only you can do.
An "E" task is defined as something that you can eliminate altogether and it won't make any real difference.
This may be a task that was important at one time but which is no longer relevant to yourself or anyone else. Often it is something you continue to do out of habit or because you enjoy it.
After you have applied the ABCDE Method to your list, you will now be completely organized and ready to get more important thingsdone faster.
The key to making this ABCDE Method work is for you to now discipline yourself to start immediately on your "A-1" task and then stay at it until it is complete. Use your willpower to get going and stay going on this one job, the most important single task you could possibly be doing. Eat the whole frog and don’t stop until its finished completely.
41
Your ability to think through, analyze your work list and determine your "A-1" task is the springboard to higher levels of accomplishment, and greater self-esteem, self-respect and personal pride.
When you develop the habit of concentrating on your "A-1," most important activity, on eating your frog, you will start getting more done than any two or three people around you.

Interesting - I had a productive day yesterday too - But I spent the day helping other people with their projects. We took out an old sink and vanity, bottled 5 gallons of fresh beer, and installed a car stereo. Big projects, all of them.

I'm taking the day off work today to take my kids to Meramec Caverns. I started off my phase 1 recovery week right with a good session of Yoga X this morning.

I'd like to join this thread too. I'm just about done with my first round of P90X2. I finished 2 rounds of P90X prior to that. My biggest issue I have is my diet. I go in spurts eating healthy and then I do not. If I can get that under control, I should reach all of my goals!!

I am starting my X/X2 hybrid on August 6th.

@Bill: 5 gallons of beer...not sure that fits into the nutrition guide;)

@Dregg: Welcome! Glad to have you join us. My diet is the hardest part as well! Glad to have your input on X2 for others. I haven't done it yet.

I did Insanity Max Plyo for the last time in this round today. It felt good! I'm excited to finish out this week and complete another program.

I file it under "snack".

Seriously. At my level, I'm allowed two snacks a day, and I choose to save one for after the kids go to bed so I can have a bottle of homebrew with my wife.

Actually, my wife is the brewer. I'm just there to clean bottles, lift fermenting containers, and operate the capper. This batch was her honey basil ale called "Mossy's Little Helper" after my mom's grandchildren who help her pick the fresh basil from her garden. It's a summer treat that we all look forward to.

I did my insanity workout this morning and did the core part before the cardio part...this helped me get a much better core workout than usual. I liked the variety. I am definitely going to have to do this with ARX because sometimes it is so tempting to just finish the lifting and skip that last 15 minutes. If you put it first, then you have it done alreadyemoticon

Yea Coach Kim,

That's what I do for P90X. But you should do the warm up in the video that you need to do for that day first. Bringing your heart rate up before doing the ab workout will burn more fat and calories.

I never liked doing abs after because I was so tired, did it most days, but I skipped some too. Might have to give it a shot this upcoming round. I like all my workouts to be an hour, but if I want to achieve my goals, I probably should do 70-75 mins. =)

Last 2 PAP workouts the next 2 days, Lower this evening after work. Was going to do another week, but decided to do a recovery week before round 4.

Steve: You're intense...4 rounds!

Now off to dinner with another coach who is in town. We will be able to keep each other on track I'm sure.

Day 23, Core Synergistics done - I had forgotten how intense this workout is. I was very pleased to be able to do Dreya Rolls with no discomfort - my ribs were a non-issue. Push ups still tweak my left shoulder, but I think it's getting better.
