How long before you start seeing results with p90x?
I am just finnishing up week 6 or p90x. I dont really see any difference as far as weight loss, I mean I've seen many people losing inches and pounds on their first month but I havnt thats i know of. The only thing I have really noticed was like i have mentioned in previous posts, thatI have alot more definition in my stomach and it seems to progress each week, so im thinking im probably losing fat in my stomach? but my measurements like waist, hips ect.. is all the same. Some have also said they dont see results til day 60-90 so im hoping thats my case. I follow everything like the workout lean schedule and nutrition plan very strictly, i also add in extra cardio because im wanting to lose weight so i do a couple turbofire cardio workouts on days i dont do cardio.

Just starting to feel a little discouraged not seeing much results yet, not giving up i want to complete the 90 days, just a little frustrated >.<

Hey there,
Are you adding more food for the extra cardio you are doing? It might be something that simple but the more exercise you do = the more food you have to eat to fuel your body otherwise your body will hold onto that fat and be in starvation mode.

Thats actually exactly what i was wondering because i eat 1200 calories a day, when i workout and burn calories i always eat the calories back (which i heard you are suppose to do) at first i didnt eat the calories back because I thought that would defeat the purpose of weight loss, but im wondering if 1200 is even too low, and i was considering making it to 1400 and see how it goes from there.
I kinda just go with what my body tells me, if i feel hungry still after eating my 1200 calories a day ill eat a little more and i wont deprive myself, but if not, then i dont.

Personally, I believe 1200 (or even 1400 calories) are way too low! A show I watched on doctor Oz documented that eating 500 less calories for an average human (2000 calories per day) would mean you would be eating 1500 calories. Eating as little calories as this will eventually slow your body's metabolism. Because your body does not receive enough calories it will begin to think it is in "survival mode" and slow down your metabolism.Your body will try and save up all the energy it needs for the vital organs because it is lacking the number of calories (and thus nutrients) With any workout or weight loss, you want the opposite of this result: You want to speed up the metabolism.

Thus undereating, will deprive you of energy, nutrients, and other vitalities needed. Depending on your size and weight you should be eating at least 1700 calories in my opinion. Coincidentally it is totally possible that if you are eating more you will begin to lose more weight! (and possibly bulk up)

Another note, make sure you eat lots of protein, and remove SIMPLE carbs from diet (you still need some [but not a lot of] complex carbs for vital nutrients and to fuel your body throughout.

Thanks! Yeah im eating really good I eat alot of protein and try to eat as little carbs possible. the bad kind anyways, basically im just following the p90x nutrition guidelines. but yeah alot of people have told me its probably i just need to up my calories. im doing everything right so i think this has to be it. im going to up my calories and see how it goes. I'll try to go for the 1500 like you said.

It's just my calorie tracking app i use myfitness pal and i set it to where i want to lose 2 pounds a day and it says for me to eat 1200.
