UPDATEemoticonCTOBER 21, 2012 My copy of AV2 came yesterday and I am ready to go!! I am finishing this round of AV1 on Wed Nov 15th and will start AV2 on Friday Nov 17th!! Jump on board and we can all share the adventure of a new workout!! We can all help each other succeed by sharing our stories and posting inspirations for all! Come join Team Warrior and lets get the results that happen by helping each other!

UPDATE: Asylum vol 2 is scheduled for release on October 18th!! I am gathering people now for a challenge group! Let me know who is interested, because I only have room for FIVE SERIOUS AND COMMITTED people!! Message me for more info!

And, starting on Wed Sept 5th I will have an Asylum challenge group starting in order to get ready for Asylm 2!! I have three slots left! Who's in!?!

Good morning to all! My name is Chris and I am starting this thread for everyone to come and share their stories, knowledge, questions and to just contribute something in order to help others. The common bond that Beachbody has is the willingness of everyone helping each other. That is what I would like to have here everyone helping each other achieve, and exceed, their goals. This site will not be program specific, but a colaboration of programs. I tend to be an Asylum junkie, but someone else may be into P90X or Chalean Extreme. It matters not. I does matter that you have decided, and are committed, to becoming the best YOU that there is. Team Warrior will do just that with a large group of helpful people all striving to reach goals. We will create our own Bushido- the way of the warrior and a solid mindset to succeed. If you have read my blogs, or have seen other posts, you know that I feel that we are all warriors in life. Whether it's the single Mom trying to juggle kids, work and home, the college student with a full schedule, the family with everything that goes into that it is all a battle to stay on top. Hence the name Team Warrior. I hope that you will decide to come and join the team and be a part of this new thread that I hope will blow up with many warriors working together to create a huge movement of weightloss and fitness! I have created a workout group called Team Warrior! I hope that you all will join and we can have a massive group of people.

A little about me: I am 53 yrs old, married with an 11 yr old boy(mini-me) and an almost 7 yr old girl(57 pounds of woop ass!) I have been with BB a year and have lost 30 pounds and have kept off 20 pounds. The very first BB program that I ever did was Asylum! My coach thought that I was crazy to start with that. He tried to do the right thing and steer me to an easier program, but I went with my gut instincts and here I am. I have done several rounds of Asylum. I have done Les Mills Pump and Insanity. Asylum 2 is coming out in the fall and it is on my radar. Body beast will probably be next for me in early 2013. My weightloss goal is to get under 200 pounds and then down to about 175. At 5'9" tall I think that is a very good place to be.

I hope that you decide to join Team Warrior and together we can make a differnce! Results happen when we help each other!

Stay strong warriors!

The workout group, "Team Warrior," has been created. Stop by and take a look and feel free to join and post up. We are here to help one another succeed!

S&A yesterday and strength this am. Still feeling that I have hit a new fitness level. I only had about 20 mins to workout this morning, but it was non-stop! I hope to get out of work early today and go home and finish before the kids hit the door.

Stay strong warriors!

Good morning warriors! Happy Friday to all! I opted to skip the am workout and do Relief tonight. I could use the stretching since I am sore in new spots. Allergies are driving me crazy!

Have a productive weekend!

Good morning warriors! I hope that everyone has had a great week and that you are ready for the weekend! This morning I am doing speed and agility and a fit test tomorrow. I will be starting a round of Asylum on Monday. I have to shave off three days and I will do that by dropping the rest days and one day of relief. We are going to Sea World for my daughters seventh birthday and that is where the last three days of Asylum fall into. Anyone who wants to join me come jump on board!

I am very excited about Asylum 2! I will be setting up a challenge group for A2. Message me if you would like to be apart of the inaugural event! Keep checking back as I will release information on when A2 will be available and how to sign up for my challege group. I hope that it will be huge!

Have a great weekend! Stay strong!

Good morning to all! I am excited about starting Asylum tomorrow morning! It will be a great 30 days! I need to modify it so as I finish on Sat Sept 1st with the Fit Test. We are leaving that morning for Sea World to celebrate my Daughters 7th birthday! So, basically I will shift the program to workout on rest days and some of the relief days. I only need to shave three days off. I did a fit test today and I did really good! I set records in two categories and tied another! I am very pleased with my results. Especially since these last 30 days were crazy! I start out the month doing a doubles hybrid, started a second job, working some 12-14 hour days, missed workouts, mixed up workouts and family/kid stuff and I still managed to post some good numbers. One lesson that I did learn is that I NEED to do my workouts in the morning or I risk not being able to workout at all. So, off to full round of Asylum tomorrow! AV2 is coming!!!!

Good morning to all! I don't know what it is, but I am very excited to be doing another round of Asylum! I did Speed and Agility last night and even though it felt good the heat is what got to me! I am looking forward to strength this morning.

I came across this quote and it is something that is so true. Are you committed? Truely committed? Based on some of the comments I see on the BB boards it seems that people expect massive results in the 30, 60, or 90 day program that they are doing. Remember that this is a journey, not a sprint-your last name is not Bolt!! Most of us are not professional athletes and hence we can not keep up, at times, with the people in the videos. Who cares!!! You have to keep up with the person in the mirror. I challenge each and everyone of you to look in the mirror today, right before your workout, and tell yourself you are committed to YOU!! Push for one more perfect rep, one more minute before you hit pause, and one more day for a better you! KPP!

Asylum 2 update: I called Coach Relations and there is no new news. I will keep checking and keep everyone up to date.

Stay strong!

Good morning Warriors!

How is the battle going? My battle is two fold. One is getting up on time to workout in the morning. I have been working way too much, but that is another story! And two is the heat in the Warrior gym aka the garage! Even with a fan going it is very hot. It makes it harder to push and that's frustrating because I feel that my fitness level has notched itself upward a little. All in all that's a good thing. I just keep progressing little by little and I am not concerned by set-backs. I just keep pushing play and keep moving forward! I hit strength pretty hard yesterday, even in the heat, even though I was struggling the last 15-20 mins. I need to get more dumbbells! Today is Back to Core and I WILL be doing it in the morning, in about 10 mins actually.

Strive for progress, not perfection. -Unknown

Good morning to all!

As you all know I love Asylum, I have not perfected it yet, but I still Love it! Asylum volume 2 is coming out in the fall and I am very excited for it and I am getting ready now. Who else out there loves Asylum and Insanity workouts? Who wants to get into my group and be ready to hit A2 when it is available? My dream is to have one of the largest groups doing A2 before anyone else!! Will you help me make my dream come true? Message me and we can start growing together. I will also be setting up challenge groups for anyone interested.

I must say that the warrior gym is much better in the morning than in the evening! Back to core was up yesterday and it felt good not to jump around all over the place. But that ends in about a 1/2 an hour. Vertical Plyo is up this am!! BtC was pretty good and I used the red band for the whole workout which made it more challenging. I am feeling the smaller muscles in my upper back today because of that. I had a good focus going in and a real good sence of accomplishment coming out.

You want me to do something... tell me I can't do it. -Maya Angelou

This quote is great! This should get most people fired up and ready to prove someone wrong! Do you know someone who needs a little fire in their lives? Maybe, you perhaps? Today is a new day. Yesterday is in the past. What is done is done so, just leave it there and move forward! Do your best today-for you! Get out there and push yourself and improve just that little bit more!

Stay strong!

Good morning!

If you have ever read my blogs before you know what a fan of weekend workouts that I am. For me, I am able to get a much more complete workout and a more intense, focused, workout than I am during the week. I sleep in an extra hour on Sat and I am in the warrior gym before anyone else is up in my house. I love that!! Sunday's I will sleep until I wake up. It seems to recharge the battery pack better and I am ready for the week.

Warrior time was all about Speed and Agility today. I had the garage door cracked and the fan on and I went at it! I tell you, with all the sweat that is left on my mats you would think that I would weigh 100 pounds by now!! Inch by inch and pound by pound will get me to where I want to be. All in all a great workout. I am really pushing myself and trying to keep up with ShaunT for as long as possible. I almost finished the warm up at his pace, but fell short. No worries though I just now have a new threshold to shoot for. Each segment has different levels for me. ie... moving push ups with the in and out abs. My threshold is two rotations plus one box. So, what I will do is the next time that I do S&A I will push to atleast equal that mark and push for one more box. You may not think that it is much, but I will tell you that it all adds up and with Game Day looming on the horizon this week I will need every box, every rotation, every minute that I can add to the daily workouts. If you have done Asylum before you know what I am talking about! And, if you have not, but are going to...

I keep mentioning Asylum 2. I you want to join me when it is available to buy get in touch with me asap! I want to order it the first day it is available and to start it as soon as I get it. I want to great the largest group possible of people doing Asylum 2!! I want us to rock the message boards and clog up the Super Gym with all of us warriors blasting out Asylum 2! Get with me TODAY!! I will tell you that once I fill up my challenge groups it will be closed so,don't procrastinate! When it's closed you won't be able to get in. So, move quickly and lock in your spot! Let's goooooo!!!!

Stay strong Warriors!

Good morning to all! I hope that everyone had a great weekend!

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. -Wayne Gretzky

How true is that statement! How many of you out there are not taking the shots that you deserve? Still sitting on the couch watching the P90X infomercial? You need to get in the game in order to compete! You need to fail to learn and learning leads to success! You have got to try! You may have to try several times, but atleast try. Make a decision, formulate a plan, execute the plan and make adjustmenst along the way that will lead you to success! Have a long-term focus and mind-set, not short term derailment! Do not think that OMG Game day with overtime coming up, or Max Plyo, or Kenpo X, or Pump Revolution!!! That will make you fail! Look at every workout, and day, as a new chance to get closer to your long-term goal! It does not matter if you are tired, stiff or sore you must give it 100% everyday in order to succeed! Stop missing shots! Get out there and get in the game. You will be glad that you did!

Yesterday was Strength, my favorite workout in the Asylum program, and it really destroyed me! My body was spent from S&A and there was not enough reserves in my tanks to get me through it the way that I normally do. And that's ok, because it was still a great workout. I have mentioned that I have jumped up another level of fitness. Meaning that I have more strength and stamina during my workouts. Soon, it should all kick in and I will be hitting new PR's with Asylum! Back to core today.

Remember to take you shots!!

Stay strong!

Clear your mind of can’t. -Samuel Johnson

Wednesday is a great day to get your mid-set straightened out. Alot of people tend to fade come mid-week and cruise toward the weekend. You need to put 100% effort into every workout and everything that you do! I know that you are sore, and stiff, and sucking wind. You are not alone. Your 100% might be 50% of what you could normally give! If that is the case so be it! We all have fluctuating energies and our mind will do everythings possible to stop you from doing plyos again!!!That is a self defeating short-term focus. Keep you focus on the long-term goal-your "why." Get your mid-week mindset focused and clear and do the work to get you to your goals.

Back to core was a great workout and Vertical plyo well, do I need to say anything? I have been pushing myself hard in order to try to get to another fitness level and to get closer to my sub 200 pound goal. I have been trying to keep up with the people in the video for as long as I can, take a quick break and then right back at it. This is resulting in my body feeling tighter in new places and I have a stronger energy level. It is really hard to do for me, but I love that kind of challenge. Nutrition is good. I went back down to 1800 cal high protein/low carb diet in order to jumpstart a bigger weekly weight loss. I am keep focused on how I feel during my workouts and how are my energy levels. Today is a nice, easy, Relief-Ah!!! Tomorrow is GAME DAY! Until then, KPP Warriors!

Good morning to everyone!

Today is Game Day in the Asylum and the crowds are building! This is what all the training is about. This, after the first day fit test, is the first step to see where all the sweat, grunting and hard work has done. It will also show where improvements need to be made! Mentally I am ready to rock the warrior gym! The test of will shall begin in a few minutes! I am up for the challenge! Relief did me will yesterday and I am not as stiff as I was earlier in the week.

Good morning! This title of my blog sums up yesterdays pre-season game in the Asylum! As you are reading this you know that I am stronger and not the other!!! This was the first of three Game Days in the Asylum. Since we are in preseason football I will use that to place a title on the three GD's. Yesterday was a pre-season game and it is ment to bring out your strengths and the areas that need some work. The second one will be the last game of the season and the last one the Super Bowl.

Yesterday's Game was a battle from start to finish! I started out crushing the competition, then they started to come back, but I held my own, then I was on top again, then the competition! Back and forth it went until...speed skating! Started out strong, a good tempo going and I was in the lead. We started to coast and the competition gained some ground then we were off again with a great pace and tempo the BAM! The dreaded wall! Sucking wind bad! Dizzy! Dry heaving!! And when the race was finished I was defeated! As I lay there in the ocean of sweat that I have left on the floor I had a sence of accoplishement even though I lost. I know that I gave it my best. Started out swimming, but I stared to heave again and I decide to pull myself out of the game. All in all this game day revealed alot to reflect on. My cardiovascular fitness needs to be bumped up. Muscular endurance was the best it has ever been, but it still will get better. Even though I have made the team I am not the starter-YET!!!!

Stay strong!

Good morning! I am glad that yesterday was back to core! My body was not happy with me post game day! But that was expected since I am pushing harder and deeper in the Asylum. Today, I am still stiff, but mentally I am ready to Rock! Strength up this morning with Speed and Agility tomorrow! Tomorrow will mark the half-way point in Asylum. I am pretty happy with my progress at this point. I am just a little greedy and I just want more, but this is a marathon not a sprint! Off to the Warrior gym to get my sweat on!!

Stay strong!

"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going." -Jim Ryan

As we all strive for better health and fitness our motivation waxes and wains. Face it, that's why we blog, email, and post on message boards. We look for motivation, inspiration and whatever moves us to get out of bed and drag our tired, aching, bodies in front of the tv and push play on the dvd player! The habit of doing this action on a day to day basis propels us toward that physical person that we want to be. Changing one small thing a day for 21 days will make it a habit for you and you won't look back. I hear alot of frustration on the boards and I think that it is a couple of things. One is trying to do to much too soon. Take small, measurable, changes to help you succeed. One less cigarette a day, one less piece of candy, one less bag of chips. Get it? You are working hard to achieve greatness. Don't sabotage your chances without getting control of your vices and bad habits. So, right now pick that one thing you are going to do TODAY and do it! Write it down, tell your family, put it on your bathroom mirror, but do it. Just one thing, one small thing and do it consistantly, without fail, for 21 days. Make a log and after the 21 days look back and most importantly how do you feel? Did you even notice what you did or was it a painless transition? Keep me posted!

Yesterday was Vertical plyo! I drug my stiff, sleepy body into the warrior gym and gave it 100% of what I had. It was not pretty. If you have been working out for a while you know that there are days that your mind is stronger than your body and vice versa. Your push may not be your best and that's just fine. Strive to go farther and know when to stay within YOUR box. Yesterday was a box day for me. And understandably so since I blasted the weekend workouts. Remember that energy fluctuates also. Today is strength. This is the tough week, or should I say tougher week, in Asylum. From last Thursday it has been GD, BTC, STR, S&A, VP, STR, RELIEF AND GD/OT! You gotta love it!!!

For all you other crazies out there there will be a back to back committement in the Asylum starting on Monday Sept 3rd!! Who's committed!?!

Stay strong!

It was annouced a few days ago that Asylum volume 2 will be available on October 18th!!! And I cannot wait! I am finishing up a round of Asylum now and will be starting another one on Wed Sept 5th. If you are interested message me. I will also be setting up a challenge group for Asylum 2. Message me for details.

"Clear your mind of can’t." -Samuel Johnson

I see so many people on the message boards that say they "can't" do P90X, or Asylum or CX. And, for some people I am sure that their fitness levels might not let them do it just right now and some people may have a physical issue that won't allow them to do certain moves. I get all that, but for the people that can do it, but are just afraid, these are the people who need to clear your mind of can't! You can do anything you set your mind to do. You may have to modifiy things at the moment, or even skip a move, but you can do it. If you don't believe me just read some of the success stories for some inspiration. You will be glad you did. Now go push play!

Yesterday was Game Day/OT and it was game on for me! I hit the warrior gym with my game face on ready to do battle! I hit it hard and with a good pace and I was able to get to surfing before I had to stop to get ready for work. Damn day job!!! I was even five minutes late to work because I wanted to do as many sequences as I could. I was a little disappointed because I was feeling good and moving well. Oh yeah! I was sucking wind and my arms and legs felt like balloons, but my pace was solid and I was putting in a great effort. So, when I do the next round of Asylum I will start on a Wednesday instead of a Monday! This will allow Game Day to fall on Saturday's! Nothing to get in the way now!! Time for the gym and a little Vert. Plyo!

Stay strong!

Good morning to all! This is the last week of Asylum-round one for me. I must say that even though my energy level is not high, I am feeling stronger. I did have to cut out some rest days and Relief days in order to be finished on 9/1. And, let me tell you that they are designed to be there for a reason! I am feeling it right now and my body could certainly use the break, but I will push on! My little girls birthday is Sunday and we are going to Sea World this weekend. It will be a nice break and it will be good to get away. When I get back I will start another round of Asylum on Wed Sept 5th. This time I will be doing the program as it was designed! I will be ready for Asylum 2 when it comes out!

"Strive for progress, not perfection." -Unknown

This is the perfect quote to sum up where I am right now. I am progressing forward, my fitness level has improved, my body composition is changing and I am progressing forward inch by inch! I really feel that by doing Asylum back to back that it will not only bump my fitness level higher, but really make a huge change in my body composition. I am at the poing where I am gaining weight, but still losing inches. This is a good thing, because I know that I am putting on muscle weight and when you keep pushing your body will soon turn into a metabolic blast furnace!!!! Strive for progress everyday!

Stay strong!
