Body Beast, Super Suma question
From a customer:

"So, is there any way to determine an "equivalent" with extract mg to root in mg? I am taking a total of 4.5g/day of suma root capsules from natures way. Is there a way to determine how many mg of 4:1 extract is equivalent to 4500mg of suma root? I can get natures way suma root for 12 dollars for a month supply off Amazon.com. The super suma is 30 dollars for one month. The main difference between the two is the 4:1 extract. I wanted to know if the amount of 4:1 extract in the Super Suma was equivalent to 4500mg of suma root from natures way. Trying to figure out biggest bang for buck."

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me to answer this question!

I would tell the customer to stick to Nature's way one. I use the same Suma Root of amazon and its fine.

Also: http://images.beachbody.com/tbb/store/supplements/pdf/BB_Super_Suma.pdf

You get more from Nature's way from serving, so dont worry about BB one as its a tad bit more expensive.

Suma Root is very difficult to find information on the internet since it's not a very common supplement. It hasn't caught on to bro science and appears very seldomly in supplement stores as well.

In the articles I have researched, Suma Root Extract 4:1 is by far and away the most potent form of it versus any other type. However I'm not sure how important it truly is.

I personally am going with Suma Root from Beachbody AND Nature's way for my first round for some extra amounts. Sagi says the best time to take the two capsules is 1 immediately upon waking, and the second about 30 minutes prior to your second meal of the day.

So I've been doing that, plus taking the nature's day after each meal of the day.

(which is 1.5g of 1,500mg of Suma by the way, not 4,500mg)

It sounds like your customer also misread the Nature's Way Suma Root bottle. It says take 3 capsules 3 times daily, meaning take 3 capsules "total" at three different times of the day.

It says it's a 1 month supply with 100 capsules, which would be 3 a day. 9 a day would run out in like, 10 days or so?

Good point Jacob, I missed that 3 times daily as well. I wasnt sure how much it really helps either, so I just got the Nature's Way. I think the protein shake, creatine, and ripped fuel add more value to getting you to bulk up.

I'm confused by the same thing. To my logic, the instructions on the label say serving size is 3 capsules (3x500mg) to be taken 3 times daily, making it 9 capsules a day and the bottle of 100 caps lasting for only 11 days!

By a quick look the general dosage instruction is 1-2g daily.

Could it be Nature's Way made a mistake with the dosage on the label, or am I just reading it wrong?

[quote=Jacob83] It says take 3 capsules 3 times daily, meaning take 3 capsules "total" at three different times of the day. The directions on the label says 2 tablets a day! I'm confused!!! Also, where does it say when should one take them too? Thanks

I say not to take suma at all. It hardly has any benefits and hardly any studies done on the supplement. It is generally cheaper in better places than this website if you're going to look. If you're looking for a test boosting supplement, the test boosting ingredients d-aspartic acid and fenugreek are the best so far.

Try those as they have more studies done and there are people who have gotten great gains with both ingredients.
