We're going for me... the husband and myself. He just healed from a broken kneecap and I'm ready for some lean muscles and training like a beast to look like a beauty!
It will be interesting to see how different our results are from the same program. He's doing the full supplements, I am not doing the suma or the fuel shot, but am using a corn-free recovery formula since I'm allergic to corn.

Anyone else doing Lean want to join our board thread for some support and fun??

We figured out our menus and all of that this weekend.

Is she doing any of the supplements? I'm doing a sub for the fuel shot (corn allergy) and the creatine and a vegan protein powder.

What about you? Are you doing any of the supplements?

So this morning was the Chest and Tri's, and I really enjoyed it, but I need to go heavier on the chest than I did. I think I was spot on with the tri's though. I am hoping to be off doing Big Girl pushups by the end of this 90 days on my toes instead of my knees... but we'll see, right?

I'll let Paul post tonight his thoughts.

So I did the workout, then the recovery shake, then showered, then breakfast... and that was way more than I usually do. I usually just do my Shakeology with some hemp milk and maybe blueberries when I feel like it. It's good I think to have that structure. May be just what my nutrition needed.

I'm going the full supplements with the adjusted products that Barbara mentioned.
A couple of thoughts for day 1.
1) After stuffing myself with oatmeal this morning, I'm shocked to be starving at 11:00 AM
2) I haven't lifted like this since I was around 25 or 26. After a few years I got out of shape, and in the last couple of years have started working out again, but I'd forgotten how to exhaust muscles, and then go further. This is reminding me.
3) The weight programs I've been working to follow certainly have allowed me to lift quite a bit more weight. That's easy to do when you're doing three sets of presses. Not so easy when you're doing, all told, six sets of presses, a couple of sets of flys, a total of 106 push-ups (no, I couldn't pull it off without resorting to wall push-ups), and the pile of lifts targeting your triceps.
4) The one I'm really not looking forward to is the leg workout. Like Barbara said, I broke my knee cap a couple of months ago. I've been released by my Dr. to go do what ever I feel like I can do with no restrictions, but as of right now I'm pretty weak in my leg that was braced for 6 weeks. I expect that's going to be a rough day even though I'll have to do it with body weight only.
5) I think this is gonna hurt, but after day 1, I'm pretty excited for what comes next.

I have realized a little too late that 1 scoop of Max Creatine is too much for a woman. My stomach is KILLING me!! So that's 4 times the amount I should have taken (1/4 tsp). So funny, and yet so not funny.

Day one was tough, after coming off p90x2 I can clearly see the diffence. I can say though it was a fun workout, anyways do you guys have a beast o matic recipe you were thinking about doing? I'm interested to see what everyone else was making.

You should be eating every 2.5 - 4 hours and if your meal was big, but mostly carbohydrates, it's normal for you to be hungry. Adding some whey protein in with your oatmeal is a good way to balance our the ratios, get some protein in, and keep you satisfied a bit longer. Day 1 was tough but Chest/Tris was a great workout.

I made him the Monster Oatmeal, this was after the beast bulk recovery shake - so it was 2 cups of cooked steel cut oatmeal with raisins, chia seeds instead of almonds since I'm allergic, whey protein and cinnamon and then he put a few tbsp of almond milk on it. I'm just thinking his metabolism was revved up and he is going to have to have a morning snack even though breakfast is just an hour after recovery, and lunch is 4 hours later. He just may need something more. What do you think? Lunch is also over 500 calories, so what would be a good calorie goal for that in between stage. I'm thinking maybe a power protein ball??

Did made steel cut oats in the crock pot overnight (8 hours), and then Paul did the monster oatmeal for breakfast and the sagi's protein salad for lunch. Easy to put together for a busy lifestyle.

Wow that sounds like a heck of a meal. I'm on 2800 calories and it takes effort for me to get down 1 cup of oatmeal with protein, cinnamon and some raisins. I think you might be right that a mid-morning snack might help, I'm thinking of making those power protein balls at some point this week, they look good.
