I'd love to join you! I'm officially starting on the 26th.

A little about me: I'm Taryn and I'm only 19. I've started p90x three times before but always get off track after about 2 weeks. My main goal is to finish the 90 days because I think that will prove more to myself than any other goal I can set, but obviously there are little goals that build up to that. My biggest issue is binging, eating in social situations, and staying on track with my workouts, but I'm determined to tackle those this time around. I owe it to myself to stop making excuses and do this.

What a great transformation! Congrats!

Thanks for the complements!!! Welcome! Lets get you to those 90 days!! :-) 2 weeks.. What do you feel throws you off the program after 2 weeks?

Also - eating in social situations can still be done!! I did it! Usually any place you eat will have salads, grilled chicken, complex carbs, and ect.. To keep it simple on you stick with salads with grilled chicken - and watch what dressings you use - a little goes a long way. We don't want to get caught in the.. do you want some salad with your dressing.. scenario :-)

Starting tomorrow too yay! I did insanity (April - June 2012) and went from 34% fat to 22%. I lost 3.5 stone of fat and put on 2 stone of muscle emoticon (Let me know if you want to see my before and after pix for that programme)

I'm now 20% fat, much happier, fitter and healthier! - but looking for more definition emoticon - my body is more suited to weights than cardio, so I've decided to go for P90X.

I also do other sports - some occasional running a couple of times a week (in prep for a 10K in November) and some cycling (100km in 3 weeks and looking to maintain that during P090X) in preparation for London to Paris next year - amongst other things.

With Insanity, my knees got a bit fed up with all the jumping around, and slowed me down a bit as I concentrated on perfect form all the time.... they're rested now.

I found catching up on the forum with people on the same "day" as me really helpful on Insanity, so I am here again now!

Really looking forward to training with you guys - best of luck to you for the big bold start tomorrow!

Hey Coach,

I'd like to join too! My start day is the 26th, so I'll be a day ahead of you. I just completed my first round of P90X on Friday. Overall, I'm happy with my results, but I did let work & some personal problems derail my diet in the 3rd phase. I did meet my main goals, which were to add some muscle and get in better overall physical shape. My midsection is much more defined, but don't have the "6 pack" yet, which I know is 90% diet.

Accountability day 1 - forgot what a beast chest & back can be! Of course, I was all gung ho to go and probably overdid it the first round. I dug deep 2nd round to finish it. Discovered that I'm using the chair wrong for pull-ups - I used to put my foot on the seat part and not the back. Today I pushed the chair back & used the back of the chair when needed (I can only do about 3-4 without assistance each set).

Excited for plyo tomorrow! It's my favorite workout. I'm a cardio guy at heart.

Kyle

Hey Colette!! Welcome to the Group!!

Awesome results on Insanity! Great Job and Keep it up! As you know just push play and the results will come!

P90X will bring youa wesome results! Many females get scared of it because they think if they lift weights they will look like the Hulk or somthing! Not True! YOu will get lean and toned! Lifting weights adds to losing weight and you will see this soon enough! Yeah Plto will remind you a bit of insaniy! That is thee Mother of all P90X workouts!

Welcome!!

Hey Kyle and Welcome!!

That is great that you have started already! Yes! Nutrition is very important! "Abs are made in the kitchen!" :-) Lets do it right this round and get those results man!

You can also do the seat part as well - The back and the seat part have different variations of how much weight you have to pull up. Also depends on how high your bar is compared to your chair! Beginners and those struggling I recommend seat first, then the back of the chair later on if they can.

Plyo! Just wait till the rest of the group hits that! :-) Keep digging!

Chest and back done and the ab ripper - Loved them both!!!!!! emoticon

They gave me the fun, "just press play" fix I was looking for after Insanity emoticon

- Measurements - done - 76.8kg, 23.3% fat with P90x criteria - 3% more than I thought *sob* - emoticon )

- Fit test - done - passed all criteria except chin ups - got a great "chin ups face", but no chin ups happening as yet without the chair emoticon

- Photos - done - (scary!) - I need some place to put them online where we can see them, but I didn't want to facebook them (til the after ones can compensate for the shame emoticon ) - no biggie, I will sort that ASAP but right now, I have to do the.....

Next job, prepping up tomorrow's food - I planned it all out on myfitnesspal.com (great tool for diet planning), and now it just needs cooking and putting in the boxes...

I am starting to get that feeling my chest and back that I used to get in the gym after a hard session on the weights - good! It's great being able to work out at home.

Looking forward to plyo tomorrow - after being a baad couch potato from 2009-2012 it feels great to be able to move about without keeling over half-dead! emoticon I'll be doing that about 6pm UK time.

Day 1 ticked - 89 left to "bring it" emoticon

So pleased and proud to be part of this group! Really looking forward to working out with you emoticon

Hi. My name is Nicole. I am 46 years old and joining you from NC. I actually started P90X 3 years ago but never finished. In the time that has passed, we have faced several health issues with our son and now I am 14 pounds heavier than even my starting weight from 3 years ago. It is time for me to focus on my health and well-being. I actually began yesterday with chest and back; and today I have completed plyometrics.

I welcome your encouragement and hope that I can serve to encourage others who are starting over like me.
